Dr. Francis in a calm voice “Don’t worry, things are going to get better soon, just give it a little time”
[inner thoughts] “I mean it can’t get worst.”
Kacie “[wipes his wet cheeks] I hope so”
There was an awkward pause in the room until Dr. Francis asked.
Dr. Francis “So, do you have any family members that are willing to take you in?”
Kacie “[exhales] Well the only person I can think of is my uncle but……”
Dr. Francis without hesitation “Great [puts on his phone] we shall get in touch with him at once”
Kacie “[woefully] I haven’t heard from him in a while”
Dr. Francis “How long is a while exactly?”
Kacie “About 8 years”
Dr. Francis “Oh…ok...sorry to hear [looks at Quincy as he hints to the door] may you excuse me for a moment”
Dr. Francis went out of the room as he was joined shortly after by Quincy for a moment.
Dr. Francis sympathize “Damn that was rough…... as you can see, I’m not really a people person”
Quincy “What kind of doctor isn’t a people person?!”
Dr. Francis “Do you think I do this type of thing every day? Like I wake up and be like I wonder what kid I’m going to tell parent die today, huh”
Quincy “Fair enough.”
Dr. Francis "You see, I like to think about myself as an anti-social doctor"
Quincy "But aren't therapist doctors?"
Dr. Francis “First of all, don’t put me a real doctor in the same category as a therapist, okay”
“Telling simps that there’re more fishes in the sea and all that nonsense”
Quincy "Are you alright?"
Dr. Francis “Hmm, they would be nice for this type of situation though, I wonder if the orphanage has a therapist?”

Quincy hastily replied with “No!”
Dr. Francis looked at him in shock “I’m sorry, what?”
Quincy “Can I take him in instead….to live with me that is?”
Dr. Francis was confused “I can assure you, Mr. Renshaw, you have already paid your dues and did enough as it is so you don’t mean to do that”
Quincy insisted “It’s ok, I get lonely at home and can get his mind off the accident by letting him help me out in my shop anyways, plus it would be difficult for him to get adopted at this age”
Dr. Francis grins at Quincy as he said “You really are a good person Mr. Renshaw; I will get him assigned to an adoption clinic and put in a good word for you”
Quincy smiles back and replied “Thank you so much but you can just call me Quincy”
Dr. Francis “If you need help with anything, you can give me a dial alright Mr. Ren sorry……Quincy [shakes his hand and scrolls away]”
“You should come to the church sometimes”
Quincy “Yeah well, I will think about it but I’m so busy lately”
Dr. Francis “Never too busy to hear the Lord’s wisdom, well see you around, Quincy”
[Dr. Francis thought to himself] “What a fascinating person”
[Quincy thought to himself] “What a weird person”
