《Observing Death》Stuck in a Nightmare

Leaning on the window, I gaze upon the dark clouds hung across the night sky. I have this feeling that it wants to suck me into its depths, yet I do nothing despite this fear.
Without the light from the moon and stars, the city is at its darkest. I never saw a single person walking at night, not once.
Opening the window, I was greeted by the cold breeze prompting me to close my eyes and hug myself.
The gentle sound of rustling leaves echoes through my ears, no other sound is made. I was scared, the darkness was eerily creeping up on me. This is a stark contrast compared to the bustling noise in the morning, full of life.
The silence invites a calm and peaceful atmosphere, however all I felt was a sense of dread.
I closed the windows, and stared at the swaying leaves of the tree amidst the harsh wind surrounded by darkness. I was scared , yes, yet I couldn't stop gazing upon this tree.
Like I was looking at the bottom of the well, losing track of time I kept on gazing not knowing I've been leaning a little too close.
The roaring sound of thunder brought me out of the dark releasing me from its grasps. I expected relief to wash over me yet it brought more unease and anxiety.
Raindrops started hitting the window growing ever stronger, from a drizzle to a downpour. I see the trees swaying getting swept up by the wind, I knew a storm is brewing. The dark clouds emitted an occasional burst of light signifying a lightning strike. The loud claps of thunder rang into my ears, startling me.
My legs felt weak, unable to stand I closed my eyes and covered my ears. The sought after silence brought me peace, my hands brought me an illusion of safety. It was fake, yet it made me feel safe nonetheless.

I stopped moving and everything went still with me, I sense my room getting bigger and bigger. I felt so small.
From out of nowhere, I heard the sound of glass cracking, then came the bursting sound of glass breaking. I looked upon the shattered window, the fragile gate shielding me from the storm.
Gone, all it left was a giant hole in the wall inviting the turbid winds to blow inside my room.
It didn't take long for the walls to crumble, getting destroyed piece by piece. The roof was gone leaving me drenched in the rain, the walls turned to rubble causing the winds to vent their anger upon me.
I sat there confused, anxious not knowing what to do. Tears came out of my eyes, I felt myself breaking down wailing in silence.
Just like the trees I sat still, allowing myself to be swept up by the wind. Only, I didn't have roots to help me stay affixed to the ground. I felt myself get dragged into city where dread is filling the air.
I held onto the ground yet my grasp can never overpower the darkness sucking me. I gave up, I stopped resisting, the darkness dragged me into the city. I don't know what's waiting for me, I don't know what's out there, but I felt free.
I gazed upon the ruins of my room, a home destroyed.
Averting my gaze, I looked at the sky for one last time. Not a sight of a star, the clouds covered the night sky denying me from prying further. I closed my eyes, took on a bitter smile and let my body get dragged into the void.
