《The Healer chronicles of the crystal bearer from another world》Chapter 5: Her story
Advertisement
It was still way before noon when we got out into the market. Diana needed some new clothes and some magic amplifying accessories.
We started at the cloths stand at the market street, it's a small town so everything is in one place, there is not that many collections to choose from like the stores in the city, but you get what you need here.
I stood there looking through the textiles they have, i might need to get a new peace for my robe. Wearing white robe isn't ideal, it gets dirty so much faster, and with too much cleaning it wares out over time. I wear a short black skirt and a long linen top over it under my robe, and i have a couple that i can change into them, but this robe gets worn much more since it's my formal attire.
Diana is the same, though her robe is purple, but i think she is here for more regular cloths than to replace her robe.
I'm not sure; should i change it now or wait for when we are going to the city at the end of this month. Since they have more variety over there and it's a lot cheaper too, damn 3 gold pieces for this is not really worth it.
I put it down and looked at the other things they have, i might find something for kira, she is in need of new cloths, she has been wearing her weird cloths ever since the day we found her, it's been a week now.
Hmm, i looked at her and she was staring at something.
"What did you find?" I approached her and looked at the thing on the table. It was a set of weird cloths with different drowning on them.
"What's that?" I Asked the shop keeper.
"Oh did you like something? A couple of adventurer sold these to me the other day, they said they have found them in the city of stonsa after salvaging the wreckage over there" the shop keeper explained.
"Stonsa? Wait you mean you get your cloths from dead people?" Diana threw the piece she was holding with her hand in disgust.
"They are well cleaned, don't worry about it" the shop keeper said with a smile.
Seriously, are you out of your mind!
I saw kira drop to her knees holding her head in terror, oh shit! She is going into a panic attack here!
"Kira, hey.. do you hear me?" I sat beside her and shook her, she didn't respond but she didn't start screaming either, this is not one of her panic attacks.
"Is your friend all right?" The shop keeper curiously looked at kira and asked; but i wasn't in the mood to answer him.

"Diana could you help me?"
I reached to Diana and she nodded and helped me pick up kira. We need to get out of here first.
We took her to a back alley that seemed empty and sat her on a punch of wood planks that were there.
"Hey, are you alright?" I asked her in hope she would answer me and she did.
"I'm .. i killed them.. all of them?"
Well, that wasn't the answer i was waiting for!!
"It wasn't a bad dream?" She asked me looking at me with eyes that were devoid of life.
"I thought.. maybe that wasn't me! He made me do it.. over and over and over.. it was real? I don't want to..it was all because of me!"
It was all because of me!
That dreaded feeling.. again?
"Snap out of it, sheesh, what the hell are you mumbling here about, a little girl like you can never do something awful like that, I don't know what delusions you have" Diana snapped at kira and held her from her collar "listen kid, I don't know what happened to you there, but you just said it.. HE made you do it.. who the fuck is he, tell me and i will fucking burn him to the ground"
Oh shit, Diana switched to her gangster mode.
I felt sweat starting to drip on my back, she then put her down and sighed and gave me that sad look.
Oh.. it's because of that, i guess it showed on my face, my past trauma, i just remembered something I didn't want to.
But this is not about me.
"Kira, it's okay, we are here with you now.. you can talk about it and we can help you." I tried to make her see that she can count on us, she has been following me around since we found her, but she always kept to herself, she usually doesn't talk even when she needs something. Now that she is talking maybe I could get more information out of her.
"Did you remember anything?"
She nodded.
" do you want to talk about it?"
She lowered her head and kept looking at her hands.
"You know you can trust me right?" I'm not sure if i have earned her trust by now; but I really want to help her from the bottom of my heart, i kind of see her more like the little sister i never had.
"I was with my parents on a cruise ship when it all started."
"What the hell is a cruise ship" jeez Diana, could you be more, I don't know.. considerate here?!

"It's a big ship" Kira explained and then continued "this might sound strange but.. i came from a different world."
Me and Diana exchanged a confused look and kira continued "where i come from.. there is no magic"
A world without magic?? How could that be??
"A storm happened and i was angry at my mom.. i wished she would just go and disappear with everything else.." she paused and i saw her eyes starting to get wet, a tear fell.
"I didn't mean it.. there was that guy.. he said he will make my wish come true... I really didn't mean it." She started crying.
"Hey.. it's okay.. you don't have to talk" I thought maybe now wasn't really the time to make her remember something like that.
"No.. you have to know.. that man keeps appearing in my dreams.. he keeps asking me to do it again .."
"What?" Diana who was sitting beside her now asked her.
"When the storm happened, everyone and everything got sucked into it, that man he gave me something.. the dark crystal you talked about this morning" she looked at Diana and continued..
"It was a clear crystal, he put it inside of me and asked me to fill it with despair.. i was in this empty space hanging and there were so many people from that ship.. he was ripping them apart and laughing..my mom.. i saw him do the same thing to her" she put her hand on her mouth feeling sick and about to throw up.
[heal]
This won't do much but i can help her feel less nauseated.
“After that he asked me to do it too.. i don’t know how, but it was like I wasn’t me anymore.. some weapons started to come out of my hands, knifes, swords, spears and some that I didn’t even knew what their names were..” she started to breath faster remembering what happened “I.. I don’t know.. the weapons started flying around me .. he threw people at me and they .. .. bluuugghh..”
—————-
" that is so missed up!” Diana stating how i felt in words made me realize how disgusted i was feeling right now from what i just heard.
We went back to the inn after hearing all that, I don’t even know how to process this?
-Kira is from another world.
-She got a crystal imbedded inside of her body by someone.
- That crystal needs to be filled with despair by making people suffer!
- The people we found in stonsa; were the people who that man killed and who she was forced to kill!
Damn it.. this is too much to take in..
After that, Kira broke down and kept crying so i had to put her to sleep and we brought her back to the inn.
We needed to discuss this with the others so we gathered in Diana’s Room.
After telling them about what happened the mood switched to a heavy one.
Torfick was scratching his chin while our always cheerful Madd had a grim look on his face.
“And you believe what she was saying?” Torfick asked looking at me.
“Why would she lie about something like this? It’s a crazy story .. yes, but we saw the state of that village.. the weird cloths and the strange things we found! It might really be something out of this world.”
“I agree with Riya” Madd stood up and continued “the things that happened were indeed strange.. the Stonsa village, wulfers attack.. something dark is in the move, and what that kid said might be the start of it.. we need to know who that man is and stop him” as curious as ever Madd went in the direction I thought he would take. He wants to know more. But Torfick.. he is the cautious type.. knowing him i was kind of afraid of his take on this matter.
“What do you think Diana?” Torfick asked Diana about her opinion.
“I don’t know.. she is dangerous, that much i know”
And that is what Diana was thinking, i know she isn’t wrong but i hated that she could say it so matter of factly, It’s not Kira’s fault for being the victim here.
“Well, maybe we should share this with the guild, they may have more information about what that crystal inside of Kira, and if she was indeed dangerous it would be best to let them take care of her”
“Wait! Are you saying you want to ditch her now?” I snapped at Torfick, i knew where his thoughts will lead him, but.. damn it..
“From what you guys are saying, she is a walking calamity, her arrival brought a village down, when we took her to the farm a whole family was killed by wulfers.. what if something happened to you too.. what if she got out of control and she killed Diana infront of you Riya? She is the only family you have isn’t she?”
“You didn’t have to say it like that..” he didn’t..
I stormed out of the room, i felt disheartened and sad, but more than anything i felt angry... angry at myself..
