《The Final Countdown》Day 365: The Teenage Party

"Augh!" There was a large spill on Alice's white wedding dress. It was fruit punch the color of blood spilled from a crazy teenager at a teenage party. "I can't believe it! Why did I agree to go to this shed of a party?! I shouldn't have let Maria convince me to do this!" She muttered under her breath.

Maria runs over from her group of friends as soon as she notices Alice. "Heya, girl! How are you doing?" She notices the spill. "Who did this? I'll mess them up so bad, they'll have wished that I never existed!"

Alice quickly exclaimed, "No, it's fine! I'll clean this up as soon as I get home!"

Maria argues, "But your mom is gonna kill you for that!"

Alice stays chill is her neat posture. "I'll be fine. Just leave it to me!"

Maria pleads, "At least let me help you!"

"Fine. Just follow me outta here." As Alice and Maria try to leave, a fight begins with their best friend, John, losing.

Alice runs to his side. "Are you okay, John?! What happened to you?!"

Maria runs up to John's opponent and slugged him. "That's what you get, you little jerkwad!"

Alice warns, "Maria, we don't have time for this! We've gotta get outta here and into a hospital!"

"No, no. Stay." A clenched fist slugged Alice square in her now bloody nose. As she flew across the room, she had a strange sight of the not-so-near future.

"Alice!" John and Maria yelled simultaneously yelled out. As John ran to her and picked her up, Maria ran over to the attacker, then she slugged him and roundhouse kicked him all the way to the other side of the room. She walked back over to Alice and lightly slapped her. "Um, hello? Earth to Alice?"

"There's no point. I already tried. It turns out she's unconscious. We're gonna have to carry her back to my car." John whispers as he winces. Maria notices and remembers the brawl between Jack and the other dude. "Don't worry. I'm fine. It's nothing to worry about."

Maria asks, "Are you sure? You got beat up pretty badly. Do you need anything?"

"If you truly knew me, you would know that your pity, or anyone else's pity, for that matter, is the very last thing I would ever need. Now let us get to the car." John proudly announced with pride and dignity.

"If that's what you say." Alice quietly mutters. Maria and John didn't notice but John heard something. They walked back to the car, and Jack drove his car the long drive home it was to 910 Cedar Creek Dr. with Maria awake and Alice in the back the entire time. As they got out of the car, there was a slight gust, no lights, and Alice, Maria, and John were all sound asleep after "sneaking in" and getting to bed.

"What time is it?" Alice said groggily. She had barely remembered what happened. ("No, no. Stay.") That voice was the only thing she could remember, besides, of course, her weird dream. (What was that? What did I see? I saw the Moon coming closer to the Earth as chunks of the moon were breaking apart from the Moon and shooting into the Earth's atmosphere. I saw humanity slowly being wiped out. I saw...I saw... I saw the-)

"Alice?" John knocked on the door, waited a minute, and walked in. "Alice, are you okay?" He walks over to her

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's nothing. It really isn't."

Maria ran in. "Alice, you're awake!" Maria jumped onto the bed and bear-hugged Alice. "We were so worried about you!"

"I'm fine. Just let me have some coffee. Blacker than the night but more sugar than candy." She remembers John pulling into the garage, carrying her while quietly whispering. ("Do you...Alice will...? I mean she did... Sh! My...you! Hurry!") Alice feels a sudden headache. She keeps seeing her vision of the future. (Wh-Where am I? What is this place?) Right before she can get ahold of the exact day and time, she is shaken by John.

"Are you sure that you are okay? You keep blacking out." John asked. "Please, don't overexert yourself. You seem deathly ill. And you don't even know what your dad'll do to you."

"I'll be fine, just trust me."

"I don't know if I can do that. You seem to be coming down with a heavy case of the flu. In fact, most everyone who went to the party has it."

"I'll survive. Just-"

Maria bursts in. "Here's your coffee! 'Blacker than the night but more sugar than candy', right?"

Alice sighs. "Yeah, I guess." Alice stands up, grabs her coffee, and chugs it all down. Maria and John are shocked by this but Alice doesn't seem to care as she walks out of her room and into the kitchen. John and Maria shortly follow, confused about her actions. John finally speaks up. "Umm, Alice? What are you doing right now?"

Alice responds with a sigh. "I am trying to comprehend what I just saw." She put her hands on her forehead and massaged her temples.

Maria, staring confusedly at Alice, looks back at John and nods. "Well, what did do you see?"

Alice begins, "The e-"

"External factors for the book essay that was due today?" John asks.

Maria, even more, confused than before, stares at Alice, then back to John, then back to Alice. "What are you guys even talking about?!"

"Bud, Not Buddy, remember? The book that a one-pager was already due?"

Maria still stands confused. "What do you mean, 'was'?"

Alice speaks up. "That's not what I meant." John's face has a drop of sweat running down his face. "John, are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. It's nothing to worry about, promise."

"Well, as I was saying before, I saw something tremendously catastrophic."

John and Maria say at the same time, surprised at Alice's words. "What did you see?"

"The end of the world."
