《The Legend Of One Piece: A Journey Through Divided Seas》3: Part 2 of Eloia's past

Eloia grew older, she avoided any confrontation within the underground town, she was able to know her way around but loneliness was eating her alive. In a place without friends, the only person she knew was the old geezer, and even he wasn't the nicest. She was curious about the cage fights but he told her to never go anywhere near there. Everyday he would train her and teach her how to fight.
"Why do you make me stare at this wall 5 hours a day." She crosses her feet, sitting on the ground and place her hands above her knees.
"One day, it will come to you. Now, I must leave for a fight, continue on."
He leaves, closing the hut behind him but Eloia felt pulled with a strong curiosity. She wasn't allowed to see any of the fights since the first time she got here and was losing patience. Still, she sat and stayed concentrated.
One day the old geezer had gone to fetch some rice and water. She knew he'd be gone for a while and decided to sneak out to the fighting sector.
There she was, greeted by loud cheers from men, she tried to move through the crowd unable to see the fight since everyone towered over her. She made it to the front gate. A huge snail overshadowed the cage match with what looked like a TV screen. She stared up in amazement.
The match had looked like it was reaching its end. One man was completely destroying the other. As she watched the fight she noticed a feeling of repulse creeping up within her. She did not understand the amazement with violence, it made her sick to her stomach. She turned to leave when something came crashing into the match door, the cage door flung open from the pressure of the man crashing into it. As he laid right outside of it Eloia noticed how weak and fragile he appeared to be. He catches her eye and quickly calls out to her.
"Help..me.." He reached his arm up towards Eloia. She was hesitant and did not know what to do. She figured he wanted her to help him up so she grabbed his hand, but with all his weight he pulled her and tossed her into the cage match. The men started to roar with cheers and a voice is overheard loudly through the snails speakers.

"By the rules which say there can only be one switch a match, we now have a new contestant." Eloia stood in shock, she quickly turned to leave the cage but the door was locked.
"Where do you think you're going." She felt a grip on her arm and stared back in horror. The man facing her gave her a sinister look. He laughed sadistically.
Everything happened so quickly with no time for her to pause, she was beaten to a pulp. She laid there in a puddle of her own blood, she gazed over the crowd, all of these men, cheering on as a helpless girl who was being beaten for no reason. In that moment she could only think back to the time she lived with her mother in a village.
"Eloia.."
Eloia was sleeping peacefully and opened her eyes to be greeted by her mothers saintly smile.
She patted Eloia on her head. She felt her mom's necklace rub against her face as she went to kiss Eloia on her forehead.
Her mother always wore a necklace of beads with a sharktooth in the middle. In this village it was a sign of a strong warrior, it represented honor, vitality and respect.
Her memory quickly turned to the night when the only precious thing she had was taken from her. The village had been set on fire, all the village people were fighting, it was an uproar.
"Hold on tightly to this bear, I will come and find you." Her mother gave her a promising look, she was trying to be strong for her.
She shoved Eloia into a room. Eloia heard the shouts and wreckage happening, she was filled with terror and distress, she was too frozen in fear, she couldn't say a thing.
"We cannot let you live. He assigned you to give him a son, and you gave him a daughter. You bare dishonour on his name."
"Please.. if you need to kill someone then I beg of you, kill me and let my daughter live."
Those were the last words she remembered, the next thing she remembered was being thrown into a sinkhole left for dead.

Everything felt slow, she didn't know if it was because of all the blood she had lost, or the bruising on her head. She just remembered how slow everything became, she felt disgusted by the view of men and their joy of pain.
"Men are supposed to protect." Her mother used to tell her.
She felt the weight of her body as the man pulled her over to face him, then, continuous punches began.. but everything became slower. Eloia found herself moving her head around one of the punches before it could hit her. The man's face filled with doubt for a moment. She gave him a bloody smile. He continued to throw punches at her but Eloia continued to dodge his attacks.
He got up and stepped back.
"Why don't you just sit there and allow yourself to die, then this match could finally end."
Eloia, pushed herself up from the ground with whatever strength she had left.
"I refuse to lose a fight to someone as disgusting as you. It's not like I felt anything, infact, you hit like a girl." She mocks him.
She struggles to find her balance. She gets into a fighting position and begins to concentrate.
The guy lets out a laugh.
"Fine, go ahead and struggle all you want in your final moments." He charges towards her.
As his body moved towards her, she noticed something, she sees what her grandpa has been trying to teach her. Her eyes lead her to a center in his body, a body filled with weakness.
"Weak point."
She moves her body accordingly and strikes him. She sees another part in his body open up and strikes it, she continuously repeats this until the man falls paralyzed onto the ground. There was a silence that filled the air. She realizes the fight had long been over and passes out.
She opens her eyes to her grandfather's disgruntled face.
"You could have died." He stares at her angrily.
Eloia's body throbs in pain as she tries to lift herself up.
"Whatever.." She says.
"It's not whatever, you've hardly even gotten through your training." He grunts.
"Teenagers.." He sighs.
He goes to the backroom and comes back carrying a red jacket, filled with golden pads and buttons.
"Here, from now on wear this." He hands her the worn out jacket.
"I filled this with my own Ryuo, you aren't able to conjure your own up yet, so just use this jacket to assist you from now on, I know how rebellious teenagers are and I probably won't be able to hold you off much longer."
Not hearing a word he has said, Eloia stares off into the distance, she balls up her fist, she's never felt more humiliated.
"I want to fight some more." Eloia says filled with anger.
"This place is hell. All these people are soulless." Her eyes began to water up but she quickly stops herself. She grabs the jacket and studies it.
"Teach me more. I finally saw the points, like what you've been teaching me." She looked at him determined.
He realizes his plan of reverse psychology did not work.
"Fine." He looks at her in surrenderance.
Eloia eventually reached the age of 17, her grandpa had passed away and she grew up making a name for herself in the underground town.
Her eyes had filled with hopelessness. Her hair had grown weary. There was no life to be found reflected in her face, only doom. She had learned to only deal with people through transactions and not to trust anyone. She knew nothing of mercy for she did not believe in friendship and had grown to dispise people, especially men. She saw how easy people turned against one another out of their own selfish needs and convinced herself she was far better off alone.

Long Shadow
No destiny, no choice, no hope. Our protagonist, a coward summoned to a world meant for heroes; a new world with new rules and old cruelties. Join him on his adventures as he must deal with menus, monsters, and mysteries in this litrpg fantasy. Thomas Goodwill was an average boy with an average life, all that changed when he woke up in a new reality. Now, out of his depth, damn near out of his mind, he must learn to survive in a game-like reality with no reloads, checkpoints, or save scumming. He does, however, have a drunk snake. Thank you for reading my first story, hopefully, the first of many to come. This will be my main story and is meant to help me practice and hone my skills as I slowly produce more complex ideas. It's a litrpg in which I want to only lightly focus on the mechanics as I don’t want to pad out the word count with math and number tables and while I want to add a few of my own twists here and there, overall I’m going to keep this story close to generic as possible so that I don't let my inexperience lead me into a corner. Thanks again to all willing to leave a review or some constructive criticism, without you I'd never improve. Unfortunately, Cover art is by me.

The Head That Wears The Crown
It's a tale as old as time. Boy goes to funeral. Boy gets sucked into a different world. Boy has to lead a settlement. Boy has to lead a settlement? Boy has to lead a settlement. This is a story about that settlement, and some other stuff. Maybe. Disclaimer: Not sure if it qualifies enough for a gore tag. There is a description of someone's death somewhere in this, but I don't think it is descriptive enough to justify a gore tag. Disclaimer part deux: I initially started writing this as background for another story but got so into it I just ended fleshing it out a bit. Disclaimer part tres: People love reading disclaimers don't they? It's why I've included so many. They're just for you. Disclaimer part four: I know, this is getting egregious. You're starting to find it less funny. Just wait till the twentieth disclaimer, it will start being funny again. Disclaimer part five: I'm kidding, this is the last one. I don't promise I'll read every comment or message, but I certainly welcome your feedback. Disclaimer part six: I lied, it wasn't the last one. I wrote this story without breaking it down into chapters. It just goes, that means that the chapter ends when it ends, not when there is a convenient break in the story. That means that it's very annoying for you as a reader since chapters can end mid sentence. Hah! Sucker! Disclaimer part seven: Get ready for slow updates. Who knows when this will continue. Toss it on read later and come back in fifty years. Disclaimer part eight: Cover Photo by Arthur Ogleznev on Unsplash
