《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 83 - Travel

“How can you still fly?”
“I might have lost my wings, but my elemental ability allows me to create physical objects out of light, as I can also control them, an example would be is that I’m on what I call a surfboard, flying through the sky,”
“At least my wings can still work, after that fight,” I was flying to the right of Alicia, above the clouds.
“You might be wondering what an elemental ability is?”
“It’s the same as a demon ability, Kirigaya explained it to me,”
Alicia's eyes narrowed. “When?”
“When I met Drundon,”
“... So it seems that you’ve also met Drundon,”
“You also met god?"
Alicia nodded. “A few times every couple of centuries,”
“I see,”
I was following Alicia. She had decided to train me for however long I saw fit. May it be a year or a hundred, she decided to help me prepare. She didn’t tell me where we were going, but I also asked Kirigaya, saying that it was the right decision.
It was silent for a while before I had a question, based on an event. When Kirigaya and Alicia met, she turned violent, trying to attack the spirit. I needed to know why.
“When you saw Kirigaya, you attacked him. Why?”
“I’ve lived for ten thousand years Dyestral due to my soul ability, Kirigaya was the only friend I had,”
“He vanished, didn’t you?” Midway through the sentence, I began to think the words so that Kirigaya could hear them.
“What can I say? For a few lifetimes, I appeared at the other side of the world, sometimes I was a slave,” Kirigaya listed.
“Two hundred years he disappeared, that happened another seven times around the same times, can you do math Dyestral?” Alicia then listed.

“One-thousand four hundred years, but to vouch for him, Kirigaya could’ve been across the world, he couldn’t leave,”
“Don’t vouch for him, I trained Rowan for a little while, and I know what Kirigaya’s aura is like when mixed with someone else's, your the newest vessel,”
“That’s how we usually met Dyestral,” Kirigaya talked again. “She sensed my aura and came up to me,”
“Although that was if I abandoned him first…” Alicia kept talking.
“You abandoned him? For how long at some times,”
“A few decades at the most, but seriously, living an immortal life is hard, Kirigaya can vouch for that,”
“So, why when you two met, why did you attack him,”
“...Four hundred years ago, I was in the desert country of Yomun, when I saw Kirigaya, as the king of that land,”
“A sorcerer that only used light as his weapon devastated that country, fighting against the king, wait, that was you?”
“Meaning that he is a she, and yes,”
“Why?”
“Because Kirigaya tried to sell me into slavery,”
I was speechless, did Alicia did something in the last life Kirigaya lived or was it just out of a change of personality. There was one more option which I considered, with this entire destiny due to my bloodline, so I decided to ask Kirigaya.
“Dysan found me and began to whisper things stronger into the king's ear, louder that I was talking. Corrupting his mind, locking me away until his death, I couldn’t explain it to Alicia, since she just disappeared,” Kirigaya explained.
“Of course, why don’t you stop time and tell her yourself?” I thought.
“I should, and this is the first time we saw each other in centuries after all,”

I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, Alicia had moved ahead of me. I flew a bit faster and caught up.
“Did you forgive him?”
“...No, not really, but if he is telling the truth, does that mean?”
“Yes, I’m one of the two people who can defeat Dysan in this lifetime,”
“And he disappeared after finding some of them, and other times just fooling about, or what he said to you,”
I nodded, and Alicia and I kept flying on until dusk. It turned out Alicia could only use her elemental ability when daylight was present, after that, she could use the moonlight for the same use, but it wasn’t enough.
The moon was a waning crescent, meaning that the light was disappearing from the sky, not only that, but it was cloudy. Alicia and I landed at dusk and decided to make a campfire, with some help from my lightning.
It was lightly raining down, and we had landed in a mountain range, with a small amount of flat land which had decided to land. Both Alicia and I slept at the same time; for some reason, neither of us was worried about getting ambushed.
I had no dreams of Drundon or Kirigaya, but nightmares instead. Quinn and Sashal fighting, Lance’s body, slowly turning into the kings, maniacally laughing, and Rowan morphed into Kirigaya, before morphing back, saying the same words over and over in my dream.
“Thank… you,”
My eyes awoke, and I saw Alicia had used my open wing as a blanket, snuggling into my right side. I slowly got up and laid her down, looking up to the now clear sky, with the moon at its highest peak, before I looked at my hand.
Why was it that I still felt guilt from Rowan's death? He was my friend, but he was glad that his last moments were with me, so why did I feel hurt. Based on what Alicia said, Kirigaya’s aura is mixed into the vessels, which was me.
I always felt Kirigaya’s aura when he was in Rowan, but I didn’t know that Rowan’s aura was that weak. I felt no sort of control over Rowan’s over, so most likely, he would’ve died anyway due to the crossfire, there’s nothing I could’ve done.
It was only until I heard a flapping noise that I looked up again, and there I saw in the almost nightless sky, Azure, with someone else I did not know. It was only until the two of them landed that I was able to get a closer look at my brother's companion.
She had short black hair, tan skin, dark sclera and bright green eyes. She wore a grey robe, and an ominous aura flowed from her. It enveloped me, trying to control me, but I enforced my own, and she stopped, I knew immediately that the girl was from the island, and also Ren's sister.
I shifted my gaze towards Azure and noticed that his right hand was out, which had a book in it, the one I realised belonged to Kirigaya. I grabbed the book slowly and looked up at him. Azure smiled and opened his mouth.
“I believe that is yours,”
