《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 81 - Ancestor

Drundon created a table and handed me some tea. That power, that aura I had felt, the realisation of why Kirigaya massacred tens to hundreds of thousands of lives, was all to stop one single person in which he was defeated in mere seconds.
I was shaking the teacup, Drundon and Kirigaya tried to calm me down. I responded with that they should talk a little longer to themselves, it had to be a while since they met face to face. I stared into my tea, still wondering what everything was. Why did Kirigaya say something about criteria and two people meeting it?
I suspected the other one to be Azura, as Kirigaya also said that he didn’t know there were two until not too long ago. I took a sip of the tea finally and stopped shaking; the two spirits noticed this and turned to me.
“Am I, dead?”
“Your between all four worlds, Antrite, Antral, the soul world where only you and Dysan can wander, and of course, where I reside, the afterlife you call it,” Drundon replied.
“... Ar we in stopped time?”
“Your fight with the king Nicholas is on pause, yes, and I do believe we are in stopped time.”
“If I met the criteria, does that mean that I am destined to defeat Dysan?”
Drundon nodded. “Only a few hundred have been chosen, allowed to defend the plain of a demon that can control reality,”
“But what does that mean, how does he do it? You’re the god of creation, everything, you must know what it is!!”
“Sadly, I do not, I do not know what Dysans Soul, demon or incarnate weapon is,”
“When you split the elements, you also split demon abilities and incarnate weapons?”
“The soul ability remains, beasteals and humans had incarnate weapons, while demons and dragonoids have elemental abilities, the actual name which I called it,”

“But after the war dragonoids were so scarce that the demons named it after themselves,”
“Correct,”
A long pause happened, Kirigaya looked at me worried, I loved history, but with meeting god and anything else, it was overwhelming. My vision became hazy before I snapped out of it and broke the teacup.
“What are the criteria you talked about?”
“Three things,” Kirigaya put three fingers in the air. “One, the person must be a demon,” He put a finger down. “Two, they have to have a soul ability which can tamper with souls, like you able to make yourself untouchable, the matter swaps into the soul world, you are a soul that can exist in Antrite and Antral.”
“...Thirdly?”
“One must be a direct descendent of Dysan; another tile also called the tyrant of lust,”
“I see, and is it because the demon who saved my life gave most of his soul and source to me, causing my soul to become a demon?”
“Yes, and with the child, you and Sashal have conceived, there might be a third person that might meet the criteria this generation,” Drundon replied.
I slammed my hand hard against the table, causing it to break. “Don’t you DARE lay a finger on my unborn son!!!” My aura went crazy, even so much Drundon amplified his own.
Even at full force, he overpowered me quickly, causing me to be pushed back, but I didn’t fall over. I growled at Drundon, as he began to chuckle loudly. Kirigaya began to slap his right knee crying with laughter.
“Well that’s a first!!” Kirigaya wheezed.
“What is? What’s so funny about me threatening god,”
“That you are the first that challenged my aura, and wasn’t knocked out in a moment, a mortal that isn’t fearful of my basic aura!!” Drundon explained, stopped laughing.

“... A human and demon, the first in ten thousand years, in an artificial body, who is a chosen and starstrider vampire, is one of a few hundred people in those ten thousand years that could challenge Dysan, and now the first mortal to ever raise my fist at you?”
“... The best one we could’ve asked for,” Drundon and Kirigaya stopped laughing. “As Kirigaya’s seal is weakening,”
My face became concerned “What do you mean?”
Drundon took a deep breath. “You saw Kirigayas seal, it’s weakening, sooner or later, in your lifetime, Dysan will reappear and Antrite or Antral, and corrupt both worlds, ending them forever,”
“..., How do you know? How do you know Dysan will try and destroy everything,”
“Because I’ve monitored his soul for those ten thousand years, his mind sounds most of the time like this,” Drundon snapped his fingers.
‘Destroy’ I heard Dysans voice inside my head. ‘Decimate, crumble, extinction, catastrophe, take over, destroy,’
In the first second, those words appeared in my head.
‘End, corrupt, crumble, kill, snap necks, end life, burn lands, kill everything, burn, drown, shatter, break, crack, eradicate, tear down, exterminate, extinguish, revenge, attack, fight, spite, end spirits, rampage, torment, death, die, agony, wrath, judgment, END EVERYTHING,”
Another second had passed by, and I heard all of those words multiple times. It only got worse, until I began to see the terms right in front of me, I yelled at Drundon to stop, and so I did. If I did fight Dysan, there would be no reasoning, he was insane, that he couldn’t come back.
“I guess I do have to kill him,”
“For years, he’s been trying to get back into the physical world, creating clones of bodies, waiting for people like you to die so he can enter their body and hope they were compatible, but the best he’s done is act the mastermind to many historical events that caused mass genocide. He’s succeeded before but was in a weakened state since my seal was strong, but now, it’s reached its limit, this will be the final time we might be able to defeat him,”
“Since the seals weakening, and Azure or I can kill him, I know I’m cocky but tell me, where can I find his body if there still is one,”
“The throne of the demon king,” Kirigaya explained. “The first person who went to the battlefield of Dysan and me, was the beginning of the royal family, a small black orb which hangs at the top of the throne, break that with enough force, and Dysan will return, and after this fight, Dyestral, we will go and train,”
“For how long?”
“Until we get a sign from Drundon, who thinks we might be able to stand a chance,”
“...Alright, I agree to that, I will grow stronger, strong enough to defeat Dysan,”
“Hoho,” Drundon chuckled. “Then I shall part you with a gift if this is going to be the generation where Dysan will finally die for good, something that Kirigaya has never given anyone,”
“Might as well also give you something,” Kirigaya said, standing up.
The two spirits walked up to me; their hands were absorbed into my body and power-filled me to the brim.
“Farewell Dystral Blutrot, I will either see you with Dysan or not by the end of your life, farewell,”
I opened my eyes, looking over to the other side of the world, and hearing Kirigaya.
“Use the power Drundon, and I have given you to win and survive this! For the sake of everyone and everything, end the reign of the king of Onsice!!”

Primal Adaptation
The story of a little soul that ends up tangled in the games and bets of entities that utilize beasts of any primordial planet as a game avatar to make the Perfect Primal. This tale is not only its story because it will also share its destiny with the entity that will help it in its journey, and together they will rise from their particular situations one way or another. Primal Adaptation is a history with some RPG elements in it, but the MC can't look at a status screen or skill page because it's a beast through and through. I have implemented an evolution system for all the creatures of this story, where they grow or mutate depending on what they consume. In this tale, you won't find a Deus ex machina to give the protagonist power-ups. Everything must be learned and comprehended before its use unless it's something it gets immediately, or the abilities get understood by instinct. In essence, it is survival and gambit for opportunities, be it from one MC or the other.
