《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 57 - Crystal

My brother flew up high at a quick speed and tried to hit me, but I blocked it. Countering his assault, I decided to punch him with my right fist, which left me open for his right fist. I noticed his curled hand as it bruised my skull, looking at each other with eyes of bloodlust. We both backed away and began to exchange blows in midair.
If any of us dealt any severe damage towards each other, it would've healed as soon as it happened. During the battle, subconsciously, we drifted closer back to the ground. We were quite low to the ground, so I told Sashal to fold up my wings, and we dropped into the canopy of the small forest which was on the island.
Although I didn't know it at the time, it was the worst thing that I could've done at the time. Jumping down, and hiding underneath a tree root, I began to look for my brother's soul, seeing that he was still just standing there in the sky floating. There was no source coming down, so he wasn't attacking, but why?
As soon as I questioned myself, I felt something graze my leg, so I looked down and was surprised at what I saw. A tentacle of blue flame was touching my leg, and I stared at it. It seemed that it was almost alive, I very cautiously, made my chain hook another tree and then reeled it in, dragging me away from the flame.
I caught myself onto the branch and propelled myself further away, watching as I glided over the tentacle. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that there was no line or even source that connected it to my brother, seeing his soul still floating in the sky.
The tentacle then dispersed, and I heard a buzz, very quickly becoming louder. A hand of flame then punched me in the face, and before I could hit the ground, some smaller tentacles wrapped around my head and pulled me back, this time hitting me in my stomach.

During that small period, I froze my abdomen and made it crackle with electricity, and when he hit it, it was what I wanted exactly. His left arm became enveloped within my ice and my time to counter him again was then.
I wrapped my legs around his head, snapping it, with the pressure also shattering his frozen arm. Sashal then made the wings on my back even more substantial, and everything became slower. My body froze over, black and white lightning erupting from my body, singing the trees around me. Sashal and I flew up high and began to pull off certain parts of my brother's body.
We were separating the arms and legs into two pieces, throwing them in various directions, before cutting in chest and abdomen into fours, leaving his head, which we caved in with a punch. Very quickly, Sashal and I drained most of the blood from each body part, and time went back to normal.
'That should've killed him, but now there's another problem' I thought, as everything began to look hazy.
I felt the aftereffects of that ability; my entire being was creating enough steam to be confused with an erupting geyser. Sashal, using her source of fire, but most of the heat from my body into our wings, burning her own body to protect me.
Even then, it wasn't enough, as I was losing consciousness, but before I did. I could sense everything around me, but I couldn't move or see. Sashal began to call into my mind, and I responded.
"I was in that state for seven seconds real-time, this is what it did,"
"Don't worry, I'm not sure how capable our healing abilities are, but we are practically dead, I'm trying with my blood keeping your heart from stopping,"
"Why else did you think I would want you to copy Xirax's soul ability? Use it!" This was the plan all along if I had to use that ability where time almost stood still for me, I would use Xirax's soul ability to help me.

I felt as though a wave of cold water had seeped into my body, and I opened my eyes. A breath of life came into me, getting rid of the rest of the steam and restarting my heart.
It was too late to pull up, so I enveloped myself into a ball of ice as we collided with the mountains. It was painful, but I quickly healed, and got up, although Sashal's mental health didn't. I could hear her steadily breathing, that and I could feel her head pulse in mine.
"How do you keep so calm!" She yelled in my head.
"Perhaps it's because I experience it before,"
"When not important, but what is important is,"
"Suprise brother!" That voice wasn't each other, and I couldn't escape.
I felt something grab my neck and drag my face through the ground. Exploring the mountain as I was beginning to climb it. During that, I was able to jump off and turned around, seeing my brother, and him grabbing my throat again, still scaling the mountain.
"You thought you could get rid of me that easily Dyestral, you saw my healing prowess, now let's see yours!"
We scaled the mountain entirely, and I saw that he made four giant claws, each the size of his own body, replacing the four wings before I began to be pummeled by his regular fists. Sashal lost all sense of thought in my mind, her wings disappeared, and my body became weaker because of it.
After the final strike, we were already ten metres into the ground, before he jumped up and began to use his four claws instead. Every demon was able to regenerate to an extent, and mine was quickly approaching.
Again, my brother stopped and picked me up with a blue flame tentacle and dragged me through the floor back. My vision was blurring, and I could barely hear what he was saying, although, during that time of being half-conscious, I heard him say something.
"I... you... along…" He was the voice that I heard every time something would happen relating to my demon side, it was true, the monster I had to face to become a vampire. Before long, I heard him say something else.
"Crystals… Here… Brother…" I then felt my body being sliced through the side, although not directly in half, I lost the sense of hearing, taste, smell and sight, and my body were numb with the pain. I felt as though I had died, although alive at the same time.
The next thing I felt was a pain in my back, and my body being impaled by spikes, I don't know how many times. I felt a pain like no other, I would've screamed if I could've, but I knew what he had done. Energy crystals, he had impaled me with either a minecart full or one still buried in the ground.
It was too late, my heart had stopped, and I couldn't feel anything, only death. I gave up hope, but then a bright light appeared, slowly dimming, revealing a replica of the markings on my body. My markings, I could see a complete model of them, seeing them change, and again feeling even more pain.
All the marking's lost colour within them, being able to see through them. They were still visible but were now outlines of what they once were. All of a sudden, the markings began to burn in a blue flame and there I was left with nothing, nothing except a nightmare.
