《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 33 - Nightmare

AI was cracking my neck from side to side, ready to kill the fat kid. The battle was about to take place in the massive backyard that the mansion had, which was owned by Jododam, meaning that I can destroy the spot if I had to. I started at the end of the backyard garden, with Jododam and Sashal telling me to be defensive because no one knows his abilities, not even Jododam.
A trumpet sounded from the mansion, Jododam and Sashal moved away from me, and I started to walk to the middle, the other chosen doing the same. By the time I walked to the middle of the backyard which had a platinum fountain, the other chosen only had caught up with a jog, panting.
'How did that unhealthy person get such a great ranking? There are only twelve chosen in a century, and one of them was him,' I thought.
Silence, it felt like an eternity; both of us were waiting for the sound of the trumpet again, telling that we could begin. We looked deep into each other's eyes, thinking about how to kill each other. The horn sounded, and I tried to move, but I couldn't. The other kid snickered and then laughed.
"You had no chance Dyestral, but I might as well introduce myself because I never did, my name is Adlif," He said.
I tried to move my mouth, but it wouldn't budge.
"My soul ability, it's pathetic, but if I use it right, it's fine. You might be wondering what it is Dyestral. It allows me to control your blood and bone joints, quite weak, but as for my demon ability,"
Adlif snapped his fingers, and my body felt so much more substantial, I had to fall on my hands so that I didn't fall face-first into the floor. I stared at Adlif with eyes of hatred, as lightning burst from my body, scorching the ground around me.
"My demon ability relates to my rare source of space which I can never use; it allows me to control gravity in certain areas, making it stronger or weaker. To you, Dyestral, space where you are struggling, gravity is ten times stronger. With me practically controlling your body, it does make for a deadly combination doesn't it Dyestral,"

I wanted to yell at him to shut up, but yet, my jaws didn't even budge. I tried to force myself into the soul world, but it was no use, I could only use my source. This kid was powerful, and I realized that the person who sounded the trumpet twice, was the head of the house of Tod, and Adlif was the chosen vampire of the tod.
"That's another great thing about my body controlling, it negates any other abilities you have, you can only use your source, but now I think it's time that you die,"
My body stood up on its own, even in the harsh gravity, my right hand then plunged into my abdomen, it felt around for a bit before pulling something out. I looked at what Adlif pulled out of me, and it was my stomach.
After gravity crushed my stomach to the floor, Adlif made it so that most of my organs, only leaving two, my heart and lungs intact. The rest of my innards were squashed on the floor, and I looked at him with a stare which started him.
He was now just sitting there, waiting for me to die, I felt like that would happen, until I started to use my lighting source in my hands. They began to feel lighter, Adlif had revealed his weakness, and now I found a plan to win.
I froze my body to slowed down my heart rate and fell onto the floor face first. The gravity was still there, but I could hear Adlif walking away, thinking he won. I created a field of lightning around me, which then allowed me to move frequently again.
I got up and used my source of darkness to cover my body as well, which regenerated everything that was lost in me. I ran as fast as I could and caught up to Adlif in three seconds and punched him. Shocked by the punch, Adlif started to shake and tried to use his abilities on me.
Nothing happened, and Adlif became even more confused, and like the torturer, began to wet himself. I walked towards him slowly, summoning my chains and choked him, lifting him to where we were face to face.
"How can you move, why is my gravity not working on you!?" Adlif asked me in a scared tone.

"Your body control ability has to have direct contact, with the person-" I kicked Adlif in the face before hitting his head into the floor.
"As I was saying, I have a layer of source around me, lightning to be exact, something which I am glad I have, but you must be wondering how I'm countering your gravity?"
I lifted his head by the tuft of his hair with my left hand and started to pour my ice source, freezing his body slowly. His skin began to turn blue, and his tear ducts froze, every liquid that came out of his putrid body stopped flowing, as his eyes were focused on me.
"You said I could only use my source, so I did. And I figured out that if I have the thinnest layer of my source around me, acting like an armour, I wouldn't be affected. That's right Adlif, with your too cocky attitude, you had dug your own grave."
I created an icicle and shoved it straight into Adlif's heart, killing him. Although unlike Adlif, I didn't walk away, I instead started to stab him with Icicles all over, waiting for his nightmare side to appear.
Before long, I was hit with an ear-splitting roar which came from the fat boy in front of me. I created a chunk of ice, and pushed off it, gaining distance from my enemy. I jumped back some more and saw the Adlif begin to change.
His body became covered in grey scales, and his body which was obese turned into pure muscle. His legs size stayed the same size, but the rest of his body became five feet taller, now towering over me. Adlif's face became all scaly, his teeth turned yellow and sharp, while his eyes were now a glowing red, aiming right at me.
I had to tread carefully; vampires who enter their nightmare side can only use their source and physical abilities, sometimes even a new skill can appear during the time. Looking at Adlif's nightmare side, I could tell that he would instead try to hit me then throw some fire, and since I was fast, it was easier for me to dodge.
Adlif tried to hit me, but I dodged and created a thin layer of ice on my shoes, allowing me to slide across the floor. The next thing I did was summon my chains again, one on each hand and three on my back. I then threw two icicles charged with lightning at Adlif, which made some smoke around him, so I waited for him to counter-attack.
Out of the smoke, a fist emerged and tried to hit me, but I jumped, and with my lightning field, I jumped even higher. After realizing that my source armour was still up, I discontinued it and focused more on the battle.
I used my chains to grab his left arm and make him punch himself in the face, I then shortened my chains, pulling me close to Adlif. Going onto his back, all my chains wrapped around his neck, and Adlif began to struggle, but what sealed the deal is when I put all of my lightning source into one attack.
I focused, and all the lightning that was pent up inside of me went through my chains and began to electrocute Adlif.
His body began to have a fit; the massive Adlif was completely stuttering, making him fall on the ground belly up. Before I was crushed, I removed my chains from his throat and jumped back to a nearby hedge. I stood in front of him and made it that the chain in my chest had a dagger on the end of it. I then stabbed Adlif with the chain and started to mutter.
"Thy ancient ones of blood, I offer thou body to you, if thy is willed to, may thou body becomes red rain and may thy ancients of blood, be grateful for this gift,"
I walked off Adlif, now with the warm feeling inside my body again, beginning to smile as well. I put the chain back in my body and laid down against a hedge and watched Adlifs body turn into a red mist which filled the clouds in the sky. I opened my mouth, and there it was, the ancients of blood heard my sacrifice. Blood rain, I think I put on quite a show for everyone, and now deserved a little nap.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons.
