After two hours everything had calmed down. Kaili and Caid were standing while the old man was sitting in a table with the head of the Yalan family and the grandfather of Caid , Kain , who heavily smoked a cigar. As ten years had passed he seemed to have lost his strong exterior and had put on a little beer belly, but he was still as dangerous as ever.

The atmosphere was heavy with the head of the Yalan family staring at the old man with clear killing intent, but not doing anything. On the other hand the old man was just calmly chilling on his chair, looking like he was on his own house.

'This bastard!'

The head of the Yalan family was pissed at the carefree attitude of the old man that you could clearly see the bulging veins on his bald head, but he didn't attack as Kaili had instructed him not to.

"I have a question for you? Why are you here?"

The old man didn't answer and just took the same jade plate that he had showed Kaili and put it on the table.

“I’m here to collect!"

The head of the Yalan family looked at the jade plate in the table and frowned at first and then exploded in anger.

"Collect!

You came here to collect? Are you implying that the Yalan family owes you something?"

This time it was the old man's turn to be surprised at the sudden outburst of the man before him. He looked at Kaili who was to the side and saw that he shook his head.

"Sorry, it seems I have been talking to the wrong person."

Kain completely lost it and pulled a gun from under the table and pointed at the old man's head.

The old man's Aura fluctuated and Kaili immediately noticed.

When Kain looked at his gun he saw that the old man had crushed it like a piece of plastic. The once deadly weapon was nothing but a piece of scrap metal.

'What powerful grip strength. He easily crushed the gun. If it was my arm.....

"Certainly. Well then, master, I ask for your forgiveness beforehand as I have been keeping a big secret from you for a long time."

The Yalan family once was a very respected and influential family, but also a noble family. The Yalan family was once one of the six greatest families that the Gaion kingdom had. The Yalan family and four other families were the strongest families not only because of their influence, wealth or military power, but also because the family had very powerful Nen users."

Kain was completely surprised.

"Nen users? You mean like you and Worm, they were stronger and faster than the normal people."

"This was the late mistress's wishes. She forbade me for telling this to you as you are not a blood member of the Yalan family and just some who married into it. She hoped that the secret legacy of the Yalan family would die with me ."

As I was saying, the Gaion kingdom was a great kingdom of its era, but unfortunately after a battle with the Kankin Empire the kingdom fell. The king died from a curse and the kingdom was torn into two parties who fought for the throne. We, the Yalan family, unfortunately choose the losing side of that war and we lost everything. The strongest Nen users died and the family disappeared."

"So what? What does that have to do with what is happening?"

"Everything, it has everything to do with it.Although the Yalan family had fallen from grace they still were a great family that had served the kingdom for hundreds of years so instead of completely destroying it they placed a Nen curse on them. They could never be able to pass on their knowledge of Nen to the younger generation or learn Nen from someone else, because they would die a horrible death."

"Nen? Curses? I'm getting tired of your.....

"Master, please don't let ignorance cloud your judgement. Nen is something that can be very dangerous and mysterious that can't be easily understood."

To the side Caid was with his head lowered, but not because he was sad.

'So, it seems that things are getting complicated. I didn't think that I was born into such a family.'

"Anyway, because of the restrictions, the Yalan family didn't have a Nen user since the fall of the family, but there was a loophole on the restrictions. The curse wouldn't activate if a descendent of Yalan family was able to learn Nen on his own.

Unfortunately, young master Caid is that descendant."

"Unfortunately? There is another catch....

"Yes, you are right master. The ones who made the curse weren't stupid. If someone learned Nen on his own they would be under another curse."

"Another curse?"

Kaili nodded his head dejectedly.

"If one awakened his Nen naturally he would be still have to abide by the ancient rules that stated that each generation, an offspring of the Yalan family would serve the Long family."

"What!? This is bullshit!"

"If the offspring refuses, he will immediately die from the curse."
