"HAHT" " HAHT" " HAHT"
In what looked to be a wide dojo, several children were doing some katas. The children wore a white uniform where in the right side were several characters that read 'Shingen-ruy' and to the left side of the chest it read ‘Heart’.
The children seemed about 12-13 years old and most of them were just skinny looking kinds of fat ones trying to get in shape, so they just looked like a bunch of uncoordinated clowns except for one blue haired boy.
"HAHT" " HAHT" " HAHT"
This continued for five more minutes until they were tiered.
*Clap* *Clap*
A young man in his late twenties was wearing the same type of clothes clapped his hands together and the children stopped.
"Okay guys, that is enough for today. Don't forget about tomorrow as we will be having some sparring."
"OSU!"
"Alright, you’re dismissed!"
What followed was you would expect by a bunch of kids. They hastened their step trying to get home as fast as they could, except for one.
"Excuse me!"
The instructor who was also about to leave stopped in his tracks and turned around. As soon as he did he saw a spiky, blue haired kid with his hand raised and his face immediately darkened for just a second, but he managed to put up a fake smile instantly.
"Yes, what is it Caid-kun? "
The one who had raised his hand was Caid. He who was now a student of the 'Shingen-ruy' school was 10 years old, but looked older. He had short, blue, spiky hair like Zushi’s, but more rare. His eyes were an emerald green like his mother's and thick eyebrows like his grandfather.
"I had a question about tomorrow. Will I be sparing against my peers tomorrow?"

"Well... yes. That is what tomorrow is for. You all will be gaining some real battle experience, by fighting some at the same level of skill and stren...
"Heh, is that so. Then how about you and I have a spar tomorrow, instructor Lank?"
This suggestion made the instructors fake smile also disappear. He stared at Caid's pure childlike eyes and a shiver passed through him.
'This god damned brat! Is he looking to humiliate me?'
"What is the problem? Don't you want to spar with me, Instructor?"
'Hell no I don't. Who would want to get his ass beat up by a ten year old child?'
"No... it's not that. It's just that tomorrow I have to be somewhere so...you know."
*sigh*
"That's a shame; you often spar with the other kids. Then how about head instructor, where is he? It's been more than two months that I haven't seen him in the dojo."
"Well...
‘I wouldn't come back either. How could he come back after you beat him up in front of the other instructors? His reputation of being able to reach the 150th floor of Heavens Arena is completely tarnished. He is but a joke now.'
"The head instructor is on a little vacation right now and about tomorrow, you don't have to come. I'll just excu...
"Ah, I got it. How about we spar right here and now while nobody is watching?"
"What....wai...
"Ready! GO!"
*Bam*
.......
Two minutes later another instructor of the dojo came in and saw someone in the wooden floor.
"Hey, what are you doing? Are you taking a nap? You know that you can't do that."
"He-help...me...
As he was about to leave he heard those words and immediately rushed over and was imediately horrified.

"Lank!? What the hell happened to you? Why do you like a truck ran over you."
Lank didn't answer, but tears started to flow down his bloodied and battered face.
"It hurts....
......
Outside the dojo Caid was quietly waiting with a refreshing smile on his face.
‘Ahhh, that felt really good. That f*cker got what he deserved for being handy with the other kids. Maybe I should also break his hand?
Nah, I'm too lazy to go back again.'
While he was thinking to himself a black limo stopped in front of him and he immediately entered.
"How was your day today young master?"
The one who spoke was Kaili in the driver's seat, which didn't seem to have aged at all during the last ten years.
"It was fine, but I think I won't be coming here anymore."
"Oh...
May I ask why that is the case?"
"Heh, I beat their head instructor two months ago and now I even beat a junior instructor.”
"Aiaa, young master you have to stop beating people up. Although the head instructor was a planted spy of a rival family...
May I ask why you beat up the other instructor?"
"I just didn't like him."
"Is that so?"
Kaili looked at the mirror and saw his young master relaxing with his eyes closed.
‘You are to brash and to kind for your own good, but that may not be a completely bad thing. '
.......
Two hours later Caid in was inside a large indoor pool swimming with all his strength. He cut through the water like it was nothing and would be on par with a first tier professional swimmer.
"Stop, that's enough for today."
"Hah, hah ,hah...
Caid stopped and got out of the pool, but something was strange. As soon as he did he was surrounded by water vapour, like he was boiling, but the explanation was more simple. The water he had been swimming on had a water temperature on no more than 2°C.
"So, Kaili, how was the time."
Kaili who was holding a stopwatch smiled.
"Not bad. You were 2 seconds faster than your previous record.
Congratulations young master!"
"Is that so? Well, I'm in a pretty good mood today, so that may be it.
Is the sauna prepared?"
"Yes, young master."
"Prepare me a good meal after I get out in thirty minutes.”
"Yes."
As Caid left Kaili kept looking at him. His eyes shined looking at the thick shroud of aura surrounding Caid's body.
‘Master, you don't know it yet, but you really are something else.'

Maker of Fire
On a world where magic kept civilization firmly in the bronze age, the Gods dropped an accountant and a mining engineer to start a political and industrial revolution. They wanted enlightened governance and a fast track to the iron age. They got indoor plumbing, paper airplanes, a cranky queen, and one very grumpy prophet. Dramatis Personae Aylem was a bookkeeping student when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as the greatest mage ever known, born into the ruling class of gigantic, magic-wielding humans. The Gods expect her to conquer the world and introduce double-entry accounting. Though Queen and numerical reformer, world conquest is stalled because everyone is scared of her and she doesn't like war. Emily was a retired engineer when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as one of the enslaved class of small, magicless humans. The Gods expect her to drag the world out of the bronze age. Though she's already recreated matches and wrought iron, introducing technology isn't going well because she was born a slave (oops) and having escaped, wants nothing to do with so-called "civilization." Asgotl was a whale when he died. The Gods reincarnated him as a griffin and expect him to have the same role he played in his previous life: to keep a reluctant prophet from walking off the job. If only they had remembered to tell him about it. Revised update schedule will be once a week on Saturdays, noonish Mountain Time (in North America)

A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
