《Hunter X Hunter Overgeared》Bloom X Gloom

The reporter continued to speak as more images of the devastated city were shown. Buildings in ruins, streets unrecognizable and bodies all over the place. Some of them had lost limbs, some of them had become a mush of blood and bones and some had burned completely, turning into human charcoal. This definitely was something gory for anyone, but Caid just stared at it unblinkingly, not bothered about the bloody images that were shown.
' The shape of the fallout cloud is not something new to me as I have seen it before, albeit behind the screen of my computer. Even in my dreams I didn't expect I would be able to experience it.
Miniature rose, or the poor man's rose . A horrible , compact , chemo- explosive weapon preferred to by small dictatorships because of the low cost of producing . A devastating weapon that could even melt the sturdiest rocks and comparable to an atomic bomb of my world.
The initial explosion was so strong that could destroy several city blocks, but it would also spread a deadly poison to those in the vicinity of the blast area. Then this poison could also be transferred from person to person, creating a chain of dead bodies. Clearly a weapon designed kill as much people as possible.
I now can somewhat truly comprehend the last words of Netero. '
His shock was great, but he wasn't anxious as he knew that as he was right now he couldn't do anything , but only plan for the future.
' Most importantly this was the weapon that Isac Netro the Chairman of the Hunter Association used to ultimately kill Meruem the king of the Chimera Ants, who was powerful enough to endanger all of humanity together with his two royal guards Menthuthuyoupi and Shaiapouf.
This....

"Hello?"
.......
The man who was sitting beside Caid was looking at him in wonder. His eyes seemed to bore a hole though the skull of the child beside him.
' This child....is strange.
Since I brought him here he hasn't made any sound, let alone cry. He was taken away from his mother , but he doesn't seem bothered at all as if he doesn't care at all. Also, the way he is staring at the TV is like he can understand what is beeing said, but that is impossible. He is just one year old.'
*Ring Ring*
The sound of a phone rang and the man imediately took a smartphone from the inner pocket of his suit and answered.
"Hello?"
"Did you find him?"
The one who answered him had a rough authorative tone that made you feel inferior.
"Father!?
Yes, I found him in the house after tracking the phone. He is completely fine by the looks of it, but Bianca....
"Speak!"
"When I arrived at the house I found her on the ground, in a pool of her own blood. She seemed to have been wounded by some glass shards that broke of from....
She was on the verge of death."
"So that means she is still alive?"
"Yes."
"See to it that she is taken care of by the best doctors, but don't worry about it anymore. Your job right now is to take care of that child until the situation calms down.
Don't disappoint me."
*Click*
The call ended and the man turned his head to the side seeing the child staring at him. He frowned heavily and a silver of doubt rose in his heart.
"Gaaaa aaaa....
Caid noticing the situation stretched his hands and smiled while making baby noises.

*Sigh*
'I must be going crazy. Me an enforcer of the Yalan family getting flustered by a mere baby? I will become the laughingstock of the family if someone found out.
But his eyes.....
........
In a room furnished with all kinds of expensive furniture there was some sitting there silently. He was a man in his fifties with a huge frame and a bald head. He had green eyes, thick eyebrows , a rough face like it was carved from stone but the most sticking feature was a big faded scar on his forehead.
He sat there on his chair with his head held low , his expression unseen. To his side, on a gold ashtray was a half finished a cigar that slowly created a line of smoke going to the ceiling. The rising smoke from the cigar and the accumulating ash on the ashtray was like a clock that showed that the time was still moving in the otherwise still room.
*Sigh*
' There is no time for worry. Right now I have to do everything in my power that the status quo doesn't change. I can't let those bastards trample over me.'
The man took some deep breaths to calm his nerves and the then called someone .
"Leech, come in."
*Click*
Not one second later the door opened and a man came in. He was a large man, with a big nose. He was wearing casual clothes ,a grey T-shirt , casual trousers and a pair of sneakers.
"You called me?"
"Let's cut to the chase. Because of what happened the whole nation is in a turmoil and that includes my Yalan family. A lot of small bosses under me have died in the explosion, creating a power vacuum. "
"He, sorry to hear that , but where do I fit in all of this?"
"Because of the power vacuum that has been created the other Don's will try to take advantage of the situation to take territory from me. So, I'm going to give you the resources to make them keep their sticky fingers out of my pie.
Do you understand?"
"Heee, that sounds dangerous, but I'll do it.
It'll cost you though."
"Just do it, and I'll pay as much as you want"
The man who was called Leech stuck his big slimy tongue out and gave a creepy smile.
"Heehee, this is going to be fun. I'll have them them play with my babies for a long, long time."
