A dim blue glow came from the lights in the room, giving off shadows. Large tubes lined the walls of the cold steel room. One tube, in particular, was lit, glowing cyan, frost covered the small window on the tank.

A beeping sound came from the tube and it began to open. Puffs of mist gushed out and spilled onto the floor. A large humanoid figure stumbled out, naked and cold.

“It has been a long time old friend.” a deep rumbling voice said to the figure. “I do not wake you to reminisce, however. I have found more humans who may wake them from their sleep.”

The humanoid creature hunched over and puked out blue liquid. Retching over and over again, till all the liquid left his lungs and stomach. He knelt there for a minute and raked his body with uncontrollable coughing and spitting. Gooey liquid covered his body like a newborn babe.

Large blue eyes followed its movement, all its attention was on the slimy creature that had emerged from the tank.

“Emarine lifeform detected.” a mechanical female voice said. “Successful release from cryopod.”

He was shivering from the cold and his naked body looked pale as a ghost. He managed to stand to its feet but lost his footing and fell to the floor like a fish out of water. Not giving up, he tried again, slower this time. He placed his slimy palm on a table in the middle of the room for balance then looked over at his friend who had spoken to him earlier.

“How long…” the figure gasped for air, “How long has it been?”
