Raghav taught Raman would leave after the Vadapav was finished. But he did not expect him to wait for him.

After eating and paying the bill the two of them began walking together.

“I want to quit the course,” Raman said.

“What?” Raghav stopped in his tracks. “Why are you going to quit the course?” he exclaimed.

“Why? The one who should be the happiest should be you right?”

“Yes…but” Raghav said slowly. “I mean you worked hard for this. Why do you want to quit suddenly?”

“Because it is not worth it” Raman said, smiling.

Then they began talking. Mostly it was Raghav saying and Raman listening.

As they approached near their home Raghav suddenly stopped Raman. Then he stared at Raman's eyes” you are not doing this out of pity over me, right?”

Seeing the doubt of Raghav Raman laughed. “No man, I don’t think I am that much of a big guy to stake my life for somebody else. From now on My life…My rules”

Raghav scratched his head. He did not understand what Raman was saying. But he had talked to Raman. At least Raman had not ignored him. This was a good start.

He laughed and waved goodbye to Raman.

Raman was filled with nostalgia. He observed his locality interestingly. He could associate the memories of a lifetime with this locality.

As he entered his house, he saw that the light was on.

Hearing the gate open he saw his mother coming out to welcome him. She looked at him smilingly.

For the first time, in the day Raman smiled from ear to ear.

Seeing that Leela was surprised. Even though she waited for him Raman did not smile that much. She thought it was a behavior trait he had gotten from his father. But seeing his son smiling also made her feel light.

“Son” Leela said,” Why are you so happy? Was there anything special today?” she asked eagerly.

“Yes, mom. I Talked to the principal that I am leaving the course.”

“Oh,” Leela said,” You talked to the principal that you want to leave the criminal investigation course?” she suddenly asked in a panicked voice.

“Yes, mom,” Raman said eating the curd rice on the table. It is so good to be home…he taught.

“Raman,” Leela said in a dangerously low voice,” why was this not discussed at home before talking to the principal?”

“Oh, I had not planned this beforehand. But after seeing my test results, I felt my compatibility with this course is too low. So, I wanted to do something that I like. I don’t want to do something for the sake of doing it, mom.”

Hearing him Leela calmed down. Even though she felt that the decision was a bit irrational, she felt her son should do what he wants to.

Then she asked him,” So if you leave this course what is your plan?”

“I think I will do BA,” Raman said smiling.

But his smile began to waver.

Because his mother was staring at him with a chappal in her hand.
