AUEINABDLLE
The grey-eyed woman was almost wolf-like as strands of black and grey hair began to bristle against the slight breeze. Her gazes darting from face to face of the crowd and lines that had formed in the neighboring stores and various attractions. Letting out a sigh she then made her way back into the store and with a breeze in her step made her way back to the staff quarters.
The room was shrouded in darkness. The only sources of light emitting from the countless rows of computer displays all accompanied by glaring eyes darting through walls of data. The only sound, rapid taps as fingers briskly and violently pressed countless buttons on various keyboards.
“Adaline is something the matter?” said a concerned voice as soon as the wolf like woman entered the room. She cleared her throat before making her way to the front of the room, where stuck on the wall was a massive smart screen, currently displaying various footage of cameras placed within the nearby perimeter including that of directly outside the coffee shop. Immediately, tapping that square resulted in the mini window being maximized to cover the full screen.
“Can we have a rewind of this camera to about fifteen minutes ago approximately.” She said sternly her voice having one of utmost authority as all eyes now flicked from the various desktops to the main screen which was placed in front of them. They immediately glanced back at their monitors as the footage displaying on the smart screen started to rewind until it reached the point where now standing in front of the coffee shop was the photographer.
He stood before the door his eyes locked onto the camera as though he knew this moment would come. Shooting a smirk at the camera before immediately ruffling his hair and changing his entire facial expression to one of panic and urgency as opposed to the calm and intellect displayed just moments prior.

“Pause!” she instantaneously screamed as the teen was about to enter the shop. Clicking onto his face immediately caused a green square to outline it.
“I want every little piece on information we can find out about him!” she screamed at all the attentive eyes which were now fixated on her some holding looks of mundane, others holding looks of exhaustion. A mixture of emotion spurred throughout the room but nonetheless the rapid tapping of keyboards once again resumed and within moments a new sound made its way into the dull room. Countless whirling of printers as document after document was placed on the pristine, birch wood desk of Adaline.
Opening one of the cabinets to her desk she pulled out a glasses case, equipped them with grace and skillful swiftness as she slowly began to read each, and every piece of information gathered by all those in the room. The pupils darting from side after side of the page, not a moment’s reluctance present, the action almost routinic. After each paper had been read, she placed it into the shredder which stood by her feet. The machine mechanically disintegrating the paper was the only sound which came from her region of the desk. After each page had been read and degenerated, she stood up and clicked the bones in her neck.
“It seems like we’ve got an anomaly on her hands. Report the situation to headquarters immediately.” Her final words before robotically putting the glasses back into the designated section of the desk and making her way back to the main section of the coffee shop.

The Solstice Wars
In the grey-cloaked cityscape of modern London, student William Whiteswift has two secrets: the Fae walk among humanity, and they are just as vulnerable as us. His childhood was filled with them; they spawned nightmares and episodes, dreams and obsessions. The nightmares remain, of course, but the fae are his normal. Now, he heals them, for William is gifted. When he saves a faerie -- a humanoid fae -- from an injury he can’t explain, William is forced to let her stay. Finally, he may have taken on more than he can handle; Ainsel could uproot his life in seconds. Instead, she cracks a Pandora’s box of mysteries: someone just flipped her home on its head. And because of that, she did something unspeakable. And somehow, she doesn’t want to hurt him. The longer she stays, though, the crueler his nightmares grow. Worse, governments hide secrets, too: they know of faeries. To them, all fae are monsters fueled by solstices and equinoxes. As the autumn equinox approaches, the culling agency COURT hurries to track Ainsel down. With teams across the United Kingdom and Ireland -- iron-strong despite the region’s history -- they are nearing success. A world away, their country wounded, the faerie leaders hunger for justice. In the looming shadows of war and of Ainsel’s mistake, can a human and a faerie protect each other against their own kind? Could their plight mend rifts between bitter nations and bitterer people? Or will it, like past attempts at peace, shatter? Quick note! I hope you all enjoy the Irish (Irish Gaelic) words here and there! All are defined or explained within the text. This is my chance to show off speaking it at least somewhat decently. Still learning. ;D -K
