"It's weird, people seem to have stopped accusing me of being a lesbian since Susan came out." Anne said, currently lying in Abby's bed with her head resting on Abby's shoulder, they were both reading the same book which turned out to be logistically difficult. "I'm done."

Abby flicked the page, "I feel sorry for Susan, have you heard the names she's been called?"

"I think she quite likes Sapphic Sue!" Anne chuckled, "and at least she can be openly affectionate at school now."

"Yeah, but she effectively lost her best friend for that benefit."

"Makes me feel doubly bad thinking we may not be able to hang out with her if we come out."

"I'm done." Abby flicked the next page, "It's a bummer she can't come for movie night tomorrow, I think it's the first one she's ever missed."

"Pretty sure it is, it's going to be weird without her." Abby agreed.

"I'm done." Anne said, "You know, Susan said telling her parents was really easy, they're super supportive and accepting."

"Yeah, but if we told our parents do you think we would get to do this?" She put her book down and slipped her hand across onto Anne's stomach then kissed the top of her head. "Anyway, homework is done. What now?"

"I'm tempted to read the rest of the book, I like this." Anne suggested.

"I like it too but I've already read the whole book so I'm less keen!" Abby admitted, "Want to see my painting? It's coming along really nicely."

She disentangled herself from Anne and fetched a canvas from under her bed. "It's got some work needed. I'm not happy with the hand and I'm still to finish the background but I think it's rather good."

Anne blushed, "It is good, really good. I'm glad I didn't let you talk me into taking my bra off, this thing is going to hang on our wall at some point. I don't want our guests seeing me naked!"

"Ooooh, already fantasizing about living with me? I'm flattered." She put the painting back under the bed. "You know, I could do a tasteful one that doesn't show anything? Something like you sitting looking back over your shoulder, the bare expanse of your back, a hint of bum?"

"Finish this one and we'll see." Anne said firmly. Once she had gotten over her initial shyness she had actually enjoyed modelling for her girlfriend, Abby had obviously appreciated it and her picture was nice, though she thought it was perhaps overly flattering. "At least this one is big enough that I know you won't carry it to school!"

"Erm, yeah, about that. I need a portfolio for university applications, I was wondering if perhaps you would let me… use this one?" Anne's eyes widened at the request. "And no one at school would see it, and you're not naked in it!" The eyes narrowed, "or perhaps you could model for a different one? Fully clothed?" Abby fumbled with her bedspread. "It's just, I really like this one."

"Tell you what, I will promise to model for you for a few more and if that one is still needed, well, we can talk about it." Anne relented. She chewed her lip for a while, "and I might just let you do the back one."

Abby tackled Anne into a hug, "thankyouthankyouthankyou!" She squealed, bouncing with excitement. "Can we do a clothed one now? I can do a really quick charcoal?"

Not wanting to disappoint her, Anne submitted to modeling for another hour until Abby's parents got home.
