Toulan shouted at the top of his lungs, whilst standing up abruptly with a wondrous gaze "Good, Good little warrior! Now follow Greyhound he will begin your premature training to prepare you ahead of all the other little friends that will participate alongside you!" Toulan gave Greyhound a slight nod.
Greyhound understanding the situation, moved to the right side of Jie, placing his right hand across Jie backside. Jie was such a cute and small child that Greyhounds hand covered all of his back. He then started to slightly push, urging him to start moving.
Jie feeling the hand understood what it meant, he turned around and began moving to the exit of the main hall. however, he noticed that Wenrou stayed behind and kept his head down. He looked a little confused now, but Jie was just a child he didn't notice earlier that his dad didn't mention Wenrou once. He's just a kid, how could he pickup on such things?
Jie moving slightly slowed down, the further he went the sadder his brother looked from behind. His heart started to ache slightly, he stopped! However, Greyhounds hands kept pushing gently urging him to continue to the exit, but he turned around lighting fast with a scrumpled face like he was dissatisfied with Greyhounds actions and shouted, his shout was so loud that it turned into a scream at the end "stOP!"
Greyhound hearing this was slightly startled, but he closed his eyes and continued to push with a bit more force. Jie feeling this was now beginning to understand the situation, he felt his heart pound, he could hear the noise 'bump' .. 'bump' .. 'bump' the main hall was deathly silent. You could hear a pin drop on the ground within this huge hall.
Wenrou just wanted to be dismissed, he hated being the center of attention he knew the gazes of Jie and Greyhound was lingering on his backside he knew his brother was going to get the best treatment, and he didn't wish to stand in his way. But he looked up at that moment and asked his father solemnly "Can I be dismissed lord?"
Toulan looked at him without a hint a love "No. You will not. You will stay by my side and in this house and you will take on more duties around the mansion and learn the family business"
Wenrous heart began racing at this instant, his throat went extremely dry extremely fast! He had to gather saliva and gulp a few times before he could even start thinking clearly, his forehead had small drops of sweat accumulating, his face pale. He slightly raised his head and continued to speak "I don't want to learn the family business, I don't want anything to do with this mansion I wish to do greater things with my life" Wenrous voice started of really weak, it was hoarse at the start and just barely slightly regained his usual voice at the end. He was confronting his father for the first time! Would he be able to? What was this feeling in his heart, in his body?

Toulan already standing up moved his hands behind his back and held one hand in a fist whilst the other was wrapped around it. He took a few steps towards Wenrou, releasing his aura as he was walking down the platform the throne was placed upon, whilst speaking extremely sharp and strict "No. You have no talent to become a warrior. You will be useless, you will just hold back Jie. You are lucky to be in this mansion, if it was any other mansion you would have already been treated lower than a dog."
Wenrou started sweating profusely, he raised his head but didn't look his father in the eye he was looking at his fathers chin. He knew if he didn't say anything now he would regret it for the rest of his life! His face was already turning red his heart pounding, his fist clenched even tighter, he bit his tongue and said without any regard to servant or lord title whilst swinging both his hands out in a confused manner "Lord I never wished to be treated any differently, I never asked for anything yet everything was given to me. Tell me one time did I ever ask for anything? Did I wish to be treated differently or be given anything?! Tell me Lord!"
His voice starting off aggressive and maintaining his firm stand it was like he was fighting with his enemy, like he never liked this person standing in front of him. However, this was fiercer there was a deep wound in there somewhere that caused this speech to become sharper than it should have been. Wenrou knew the situation had already gone past no return, like an arrow shot out of the bow. He could do nothing but just continue biting his tongue and think of a way to leave this mansion.
Toulan looked unhappy right now. His son dare defy his order? He should just grow up and understand he has no future as a warrior, just take this moment to come to terms but Wenrou was still defying him? What a stupid kid he thought to himself.
Toulan expanded his cold aura, enveloping Wenrou and resolved himself to kick this kid down to the same level as a dog "Wenrou, you think just because you are carrying the same blood as me, you can speak to me in such a manner? You are lower than a dog, you are worthless person, you can't even do half the tasks kids your age. You run around all day thinking you are equal to everyone else. But you know something? You are not, and I could make many more Wenrous with your whore mother that would be much more valuable than you. You have nothing to contribute to this family, yet you still think you do? Grow up you bastard"
These words came out extremely overbearing and fierce, each word was like a crushing mountain, but when Toulan said your "whore mother" this was like he had picked up a sword and chopped of his limbs one by one, then plunged the sword into his heart. He had a hint of watery eyes, and a fierce gaze he was unmoving even when his father was so close, this time he was looking his father in the eyes. He couldn't say anything at that moment except think to himself "this man is a lowlife, just because he is rich and had fathered me he thinks he can act as a father and decide my future?"

Even though Wenrou thought like this, naturally he was wrong. Toulan seeing Wenrous fierce gaze was slightly startled, his heart beat became erratic for an instant he thought to himself "This fierce, unyielding gaze? Where did it come from?" It took a moment to control his body, and calm his heart. He returned Wenrous gaze, looking directly at him.
Wenrou didn't understand, that Toulan was also killing himself with each word, this was his son he never thought like this at all but he needed his son to wake up! What was wrong with becoming a merchant and working with him? It wouldn't be so bad, yes it would be simple and less adventurous than a warrior but it would still be a providing job, a job that would produce a good man. But Wenrou was blinded by his ambition to become a warrior.
Wenrou, seeing his father so close, the overbearing aura flowing out and crushing him he clenched his teeth and fists harder, he began shouting at his father, whilst swinging his right arm in front of him, whilst pointing like it was some sort of protective barrier. "I don't wish to be your son and I don't wish to live my life out here under this roof. Even if I never become a warrior, I don't want to be in the same place as you!" Toulan hearing these words turned his head to the right, his right eye had a tiny tear flowing out of it.
These words were striking him beneath the skin, they hurt him really deep!
Toulan standing firm with his head turned away thought to himself "Does he hate me this much? What have I done to make him hate me like this?"
Wenrou standing in a fixed position, unable to change however much he tried. It was like he turned to stone right then and there! He wasn't able to move his right hand, that was pointing at his father and his two feet standing firm like it was planted into the solid ground. He took a deep breath, with each following breath he regained control of his body bit by bit. He looked back only to see Greyhound slightly crying and Jie bawling, with water floods rushing down his face, snot hanging out his nose and he was on the floor with his small body crouched into a ball
For that few moments it seemed nothing in the room was audible except Toulan and Wenrous argument, only when Wenrou turned around did the room return back to the world, the background noises came flooding back in like a tidal wave. The birds chirping, the wind howling and so did Jies crying. Wenrou felt like little pins began stabbing at his eyes for seeing this scene.
Toulan raised his head, it seemed he just now noticed Jie crying as well, he shouted angrily "GREYHOUND WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE? YOU OLD FOOL TAKE HIM AWAY NOW!"
Greyhound picked Jie up by the waist, there was no other way to pick him up he was crouched into a ball. He took Jie and moved to the exit, in a few short breaths he swiftly left the room, leaving the heavy atmosphere behind. When Greyhound turned around to look back it seemed like the room had another dense atmosphere so thick and heavy it could be seen with the naked eye.
Wenrou took to action as well, seeing his brother moving away so fast he didn't know what he was thinking except, he had to go maybe having Jie and Greyhound in the same room provided him with strength to stand up to his father, except now he felt his body turning cold this was a point of no return, he too slightly began to cry he began rushing to the exit.
Toulan seeing this looked up, feeling his son moving away, left him with a cold pain in his heart, he just wanted to say a few things more "Wenrou.. I.." Wenrou had already left the room. Not wanting to listen to his fathers words anymore. He directly left the mansion and began heading to the south.
Toulan stood there, unable to move. He was thinking of what happened mere moments ago, again and again and how he could have handled it to bear a different outcome. He kept thinking it was his own fault, and kept thinking what he could have done for a different outcome. His left land kept scratching his head above his left eye in a circular motion while his palm would scrape past his left eye, didn't seem like he was going to stop any time soon and his right hand was just resting on his chest feeling his unending heartbeats, within this quiet hall his heartbeats were like drums being played. He just stood there silently..
