《Chocolate Obsessed Genius Mage》Chapter 28. How to avoid the DISASTER?

Alex's(the MC) POV:
-Haah. - I sigh loudly after preparing an almost 500 metres in diameter huge magic circle, made of many smaller and bigger formations intertwining each other, the smaller geometric figures combined to create the big ones whereas those are merged together to construct the huge ones. If you looked at it from above you would think that it's the most intricate work of art in the world but the amount of energy it was emanating had already scared all of the living creatures in the span of 6 kilometers, if not more. It's not like I would bother to check, duh! Any human trying to get close to this place now would find it impossible - and if they still tried, the sole magical pressure would leave them as bare bones before they even got relatively close to here. And a little later even the bones would've turned to dust as well.
Me, as well as Blue, had protection so it was fine and while I was busy with drawing the ritual, the other me was preparing the toy's aunt for the world shift - adding tons of defensive charms all around her. I mean what I'm doing is pretty dangerous, I even had to create some new spells on the spot, since I never really tried to swap places of 2 people from different worlds before. And I'll probably never do it again anyways. It took about 2 hours to finish the whole circle and it tired me out - for me it felt like an eternity to finish this! I rarely have to do such troublesome things and it never takes so much time! Well, anyone other than me would say I'm crazy if they heard me say this after I created something they never could but who cares? I mean I never even heard of anyone else being able to do this thing anyways and most wouldn't understand even the smallest of the formulas drawn here, without mentioning the ones bigger in size. Why should I care about someone so stupid?

I took out a chocolate bar out of a dimensional room where I keep a lot of snacks that were prepared beforehand and left for when I really needed it - like now - and I took a short break under a conjured parasol and a bed to lie on while I was drowning in pleasure. Of course, seeing me like that, Blue couldn't stop himself and did the same thing - just that he started to eat a slice of a chocolate cake he took from the Blackhill's palace while no one was watching. Somehow nobody freaked out then while we both hid it in our dimensional space under the table during the party. I guess they had to see it to actually get scared. Hmph. Country bumpkins, didn't even notice the spatial disruption.
Well, I finished the magical circle and rested a little, I guess it's time to go back now?
-Is she ready? - I asked Blue, still not getting up from my half-lying position in case he says 'No'.
-Yeah, all done. No matter what you try to do to with her, with the tons of defensive spells put on her now, she would even survive the world explosion. Well, at least until the lack of oxygen becomes the problem...
-I guess this is a goodbye then? It was nice meeting you, Blue.
-Same for me, Black. You could visit sometime if you feel like it, I wouldn't mind.
-I can already imagine Lucy's face when she sees the two of us at once... I might come someday just to see that, hehe.
-Oh, that would be great. Oh right!
Suddenly, I could see that Blue was really troubled by something.
-I hope you don't make the same mistake that I did... You see...
After Blue told me everything, a thick layer of sweat appeared on my face. To think that...A monster was waiting for me when I came back to my world...

-Blue! I owe you one! You're my savior!! I will never forget what you did for me today!!!
-Well, good for you. It was me who already had to go through... that... It's something I would wish only for my worst enemy... And... they both came out...
-No way! It was that bad?!
I'm seriously glad that I decided to come here at this moment. I dread to think what was awaiting me otherwise...
-Blue... No matter what you ask of me in the future, I will do it. No questions asked. For what you did for me today... will never be forgotten. I'll even write it in my 'Don't forget' list. You know how easily we forget some things sometimes.
-Yeah, I get it, Black. Good luck with trying to avoid this particular disaster.
-Uuuuh, if I think about how I can prevent it now, I won't be able to focus on this Anagha woman!
-...wasn't it Anaga?
...
-You see?! I already can't concentrate! How can I go back to my version of the world like this?!!
...
-Would you prefer to stay here forever, Black?
-No! I can't do that! I can't leave Lucy alone!
-The only way you can go to her is to focus. So meditate, go as deep as possible and you'll be fine somehow. Do it for Lucy, you know she would have serious problems if left alone.
...
-Eh? You think so? - the original inhabitant of this world added after a moment.
-What is it, Blue?
-Well, Mist Sprinkled Rose woke up and has an advice for you.
-OOH! That's great! I couldn't bring her essence with me since it's just my mind that's here and we don't share it, just the body. At least I'm not a ghost since the world provides me with a temporary body each time I transfer worlds like this. Can't have a random ghost disrupting the planet's peace, right?
-Yeah, that's handy. Anyways, for how you can avoid the disaster, Mist Sprinkled Rose says you have to........... it has to come from your heart......... and you can add anything else you think is worth a shot.
-Mist Sprinkled Rose... Blue... Thanks a lot! I don't have to worry about what to do anymore!

MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)
