《One Eyed Wanderer》Chapter 9 -

Saito slowly retracted his hand upon gaining his composure, he was initially surprised by what had happened but managed to link it to his recent transformation. But what about the voice? The tempting voice which urged me to kill Kyoko.
Beads of sweat rolled down Saito's cheeks, however, he had no time to think about what had happened. What was he going to do to turn the situation, he had almost laid hands on an influential figure that itself is a crime.
"My apologies Mr Sasaki, I practice mixed martial arts I can't help but rely on my instincts in such situation. I hope you are not deeply offended by my action"
Sasaki And Kyoko who had witnessed the scene where dazed, Kyoko was mostly frozen in fear. What type of martial arts allowed someone to move at that speed?
"Saito I may not seem intimidating as an influential figure but I will not tolerate any sort of action against my daughter, even if she is wrong as a father I can only stand beside her and support her"
Kyoko who managed to gather herself together took a seat reaching out for a cup of water, the incident had caused her to reconsider her opinion of the other side.
"Wait, Saito...."
Upon realising his father mentioned the name Saito she slowly turned her gaze towards the boy with white hair only now noticing the resemblance.
"It cant be you don't play GQO"
"Kyoko you have already met this young man?"
Kyoko gulped as she realised her situation, although she was prideful, Pride wouldn't help her gain power within the game. although its only been a month since the release of GQO most influential companies have started investing in big guilds and setting up branches within the game. Grand Quest was seen as the second world and with enough power, anyone could strike rich as long as they were at the top. She couldn't afford to let go of these legendary materials according to rumours they are artefacts which can no longer be obtained.

"Father he is the one that bullied cousin"
Sasaki immediately understood the situation, compared to this he had been in many worse situations. all he had to do is turn the situation to his advantage and complete the trade. Even Sasaki knew that the future of business would prosper in virtual reality which was why he was so fond of her daughter who had managed to raise her guild to the top 10.
"Why don't we all take a seat"
Sasaki signalled his bodyguards take step back before seating himself.
"Saito I don't play the game so I wouldn't know the worth of these items if you don't mind my daughter and you can converse about the trade"
"Of course"
Saito was going to use this opportunity to get back into school, he also had a chance to embarrass Kyoko in front of her father.
"S-Saito, do you still plan on selling the materials?"
"Well of course, what happened in the past won't affect this trade. Is that what you wanted to hear?"
Saito grinned enjoying Kyoko's misfortune.
"Saito I need these materials, I can increase the price if that's what you want. besides, the value will drop once people realise that at the current stage of the game there are no legendary blacksmiths"
Saito frowned at Kyoko's words, what she had said made complete sense. even though the materials were legendary there were no blacksmiths that could use them due to their low level.
"But why would you want to buy them?"
if there were no legendary blacksmiths why did Kyoko look so desperate for the materials?
"My brother the leader of Twilight Order found a unique skill that allows him to forge items ignoring the tier of the material, however, it only gains 40% of its original stats. as long as I give him the demon horn he will make me a robe from the demon skin, I play as a fire mage so it will be advantageous to me"

Kyoko hesitated a bit before replying.
"Although its only 40%, at this stage of the game a weapon of that calibre could still be considered overpowered. now that I know it has a value what makes you think I won't raise the price"
"The price cant exceed $350,000, although the equipment has high value if you don't sell it to us you won't be able to sell it such a price to any other guild"
Saito weighed the ups and downs before deciding to sell it. what Kyoko said was true, the value would drop greatly once the large guilds realised its value. besides, it was only one horn capable of making a dagger, so it was only limited to certain classes such as thief. Saito also needed money urgently, he could no longer rely on other people he had to stand up for himself.
"Alright ill sell both items for $350k, I also need you to retract my exclusion as well as apologise to me in front of the class"
Kyoko's veins started to appear due to her contained anger, however, she couldn't risk the trade. Pride at this moment was nothing to her what she really needed were the materials.
"F-Fine, But you have to answer one of my questions"
"Did you meet The One Eyed Wanderer, and whats with your new appearance"
"I'm not sure when I first joined the game I met someone who was clearing her inventory. Once she noticed me she asked if I wanted her Junk and traded me the two materials. And for my appearance it has always been like this, I was born this way but decided to hide it until now to not stand out"
Kyoko was eagerly listening to Satio not daring to disturb him whilst he was speaking about the legendary player. The one-eyed wanderer had never been spotted before so this encounter to her could only be described as heaven-defying luck.
"Wait did you just say She?"
"Yeah it turns out he is actually a she"
Saito obviously made the story up, it would make it more difficult for people to recognise him in the future. if he was captured by the gaming company who knows what would happen to him.
"Anyways transfer the money to my account and ill see you in class"
Saito left his account details and headed out, once the transaction was complete the other part would automatically receive the materials.
As soon as Saito arrived home he made his way towards his computer visiting the auction site. he confirmed that transaction allowing the money to come through and the items were sent to Kyoko.
"I won't be able to log in until tomorrow, what I experienced the other day with the goblin king. It must have been advanced Ai, how could they produce life forms such as goblins and place them into virtual reality it wouldn't make sense. But the conversation we had, it didn't feel like a game at all. I guess all I can do is wait till I find concrete evidence"
After confirming that he received the money he shut down his Pc and went into the living room to pass some time. soon the sunset as darkness engulfed the city. Saito went to sleep immediately as he had nothing else to do.

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
