Prologue - One Eye'd Wanderer

Two Months After The Release of Grand Quest Online

12 pm at Seiko High.

"Hey Rikyo, Have you heard about the One-Eyed Wanderer" (Mika)

Mika Serato who is Saito Ushiba classmate and friend started getting into gaming due to Grand Quest online, in fact, most of the world has gotten into gaming because of this specific game.

"One Eyed Wanderer, is there anyone who hasn't heard of him" (Arata)

Rikyo another one of Saito Ueshiba's friends, he is considered a hardcore gamer and is one of the leading players in Grand Quest Online, however not many people know about this, in fact, he has only told Saito and Mika.

"i just wish i could meet him once to express my feelings towards him" (Mika)

She began to daydream about the how she would react in front of her idol.

"Hahaha Mika, do you really think you're the only one who wants to meet him almost everyone in the world knows about him, what makes you think out of everyone he would meet you" (Rikyo)

Rikyo looked towards Saito who was trying to catch some sleep before his next class began.

"oi Arata stop being a mood killer, also what's so good about him he's just a normal player" (Saito)

Saito laid his head back down on the desk as if that one sentence had sucked the life out of him.

"Normal player?, He can destroy the strongest guild in Grand Quest single-handedly is that average?" (Rikyo)

he gazed towards the half-dead Saito who was trying his best to sleep.

"Saito are you listening to me!" (Rikyo)

"what a bummer" (Saito)

Wack!

Arata slapped Saito's head with his book to get his attention.

"Stop ignoring me!" (Rikyo)

"Sorry master" (Saito)

Mika who was watching the boys arguing let out a warm smile as she laughed.

"hehe, so Rikyo or should I say 'Lord Rikiro', want to run a dungeon with my party after school" (Mika)

"i can't today I'm leading my guild to Zanos one of the great Dungeons so that we can raid it, ill share some of the loot with you once were finished" (Arata)

He looked at Mika with an expression of confidence as he finished his sentence.

"Saito-San why don't you try playing Gran.." (Mika)

before she could finish her sentence Saito lifted his head and replied.

"Not interested" (Saito)

"Bye Saito" (Mika & Arata)

School had ended Saito would usually go play basketball in the backcourt of the school, however nowadays it's mostly empty due to Grand Quest online, but this wasn't his only reason he was feeling extremely irritated.

"Finally im home" (Saito)

Saito lived alone, his parents had passed away due to a car accident and he doesn't have any siblings as far as he remembers, however sometimes he has flashbacks or dreams of his childhood with an older brother but he just ignores them as it could be delusions since he feels lonely.

Saito closed the door behind him and headed towards the bathroom sink, he lives in a small flat consisting of a kitchen, living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. the flat was quite new and looked surprisingly good for its price. there was a mirror near the bathroom sink which Saito was staring at. he slowly placed his finger onto his eye and removed a small round circular object.

"ugh I hate wearing contact lenses, they are so irritating"

The circular objects which Saito had now removed were brown contact lenses, he had his eye's closed and slowly opened them it revealed around dark Pink pupil. Sato stared at the mirror as he examined his eyes.

"i guess they won't magically disappear huh?, this is all because of that stupid game I'm stuck like this for the rest of my life now at least it doesn't look bad" (Saito)

Saito then took a bath to relax his muscles, he dried himself and put on some clothes his hair had which was Black a few minutes ago now had magically changed colour and turned pure white. Saito ran his hand through his hair as he looked at his reflection.

"I guess the hair Dye wasn't strong enough, it came off after one wash" (Saito)

Saito closed his left Eye and looked at his reflection, he suddenly remembered what Mika had said about the one-eyed Wanderer and blushed.

"It's not like I like her or anything.." (Saito)

Saito looked towards his bed, A virtual reality helmet laid on top of his bed staring right back at saito.

"It's been more than a month right.." (Saito)

Saito gazed at the Vision helmet remembering what had happened.

"i wonder what's going on inside the game" (Saito)

He walked towards his bed and picked up the helmet, he slowly laid on his bed and placed the helmet onto his head whilst making sure he was in a comfortable position.

Vision is the guide of the game which helps users connect to Grand Guest Online

"Updates found, installing Updates" (Vision)

"Game Updated" (Vision)

"Log In" (Saito)

"Logging into Account Name *Blank*" (Vision) ----------------- (*Blank* is there as Saito doesn't have a user)

Saito was currently sitting under a tree on the outskirts of a local village, he stared at the sky as the wind hit him he could feel the breeze and hear the birds chirping nearby.

"Last time I was here the whole world was filled with a frightening silence, I wonder if people know what the One-Eyed Wanderer looks like"

Saito got up onto his feet and walked towards the village in a distance. he a gave a faint smile and thought to himself.

"I wonder if Vision is still looking for me, how troublesome"

he faded into the distance as the leaves of spring flowed around without a destination.
