It was three days after that incident.

“Finally, I can play normally again. I’m pretty far behind others in my level. I must raise my level at least up to level 10 today. That brat was nagging me non stop for past few days because I couldn’t join her guild. You need to be at least level 10 to join a guild officially.”

After logging in, he appeared at the familiar town centre. When he materialized he checked his avatar. His body is feeling really weird, like a balloon filled to brim with water and could burst with a slightest vibration.

His body is overflowing with immeasurable energy like he he had never sensed before. He lightly swing his hand towards the ground and a ripple of force erupted from his hand and slammed to the ground cracking it sending small quakes through out the town as if a small scale earth quake occurred. He gulped, nervously looking around to see no one was near and quickly ran away.

“That was close. Dam is this the effect of increasing my attack? My strength hasn’t increased at all.”

When he saw his HP bar his blood ran cold.

“My HP dropped! Why? I just got in here.”

He widened his eyes when an idea hit him.

“Is this because…”

He went into a deserted ally in the town and crouched down while concentrating on his energy and tapped the ground gently releasing some of it. Ground instantly cracked as if it was hit by a 10 ton hammer.

“This is really dangerous. It seams since my strength has not increased proportional to my base attack my body can’t handle the stain. I thought Attack value was just a number. What’s with this uselessly realistic system. Just make it simple you know. It’s less work for everyone.”

“Haa.. whatever, I need to get used to this energy. I’ll complete those quests while I’m at it.”

After resting near the city fountain where recovery rate for HP and MP doubled till he was fully recovered, he went to the place where wolfs den is.

When he got there, that place was completely deserted. What he didn’t know was that after the calamity of red mist no player dared to come near the wolfs den fearing the rumoured dainty.

The first time he attacked a monster, it was instantly turned to a bloody mist. Even the monsters behind it turned to dust.

His HP almost got reduced by a half. After resting a bit he once again fought against a monster trying to control his attack and once again got rewarded with a bloody mist and some reduced HP.

It was night time when he finally learned to somewhat control his strength.

“Let’s go kill that useless mutt and finish the quest.”

After walking through the cave for some time he finally met the white wolf.

It was similar to the white wolf he met on that dungeon but several times larger. There are dozens of other wolfs around the white wolf guarding it.

“Well let’s end this” and he waved his hand towards the white wolf sending an Ice barrage towards it.

“.….”

Nothing happened.

“What the, ‘Ice barrage’…” he waved his hand several times but nothing happened at all. He saw his MP getting reduced by 20 each time but nothing happened. When he saw that wolfs are starting to get up he quickly ran away.

After leaving the den, he tried to figure out what had happened.

He used the skill one more time and tried to sense the Mana flow. Though here in the world of Asgurd there are no natural laws, he had been able to sense something similar to a faint echo of them when he concentrated really hard. Though Mana is a completely different from qi without any kind of life in it, he could vaguely sense that his Mana is trying to touch some kind of natural concept but failing from the strain. He tried the skill again and this time he actively feed Mana along his dissipating Mana to continue its task.

After some time five small icicles formed around him slowly and when his Mana ran dry they shattered.

“Player Lin Shen modified an existing skill to match his current attributes. He is the first person to do so. Hidden attribute fame +5000.”

After resting, he reached the boss area again walked towards those sleeping monsters. When he came near wolfs started to get up and looked towards him. All the wolfs started to growl at him and got ready to pounce at him.

He stopped when he came some what near them and he drew his hand back and punched the air.

Suddenly his arm shattered and a ripple of power blasted outwards striking all the wolfs including the white wolf. Most of the wolfs died on the spot and rest along with the white wolf got blasted away. At that instant he waved his arm sending an Ice barrage which got spread outward like a corn from his hand and three of the five shards collided with the wolf ding a massive damage over 30 000 instantly killing it. As soon as he collected the fang, without waiting for those wolfs who didn’t die to recover, he fled away from the cave without even looking at the other loots.

“Whew, that was really close.” He looked at his remaining HP.

“Oi old man here’s the fang.”

He took the fang and gave the leather jacket in exchange.
