Albert sent out the pigeon with the letter that Brunhilde made, according to Albert, it would take the pigeon an hour to arrive in Alphon, half an hour of preparation, as stated in the letter, and probably 4 hours for the entire party to get here so overall, that's 5 hours and 30 minutes of free time. I looked at everyone who had happy faces, looks like it's time to be an ass again

"No breaks, all of you spar with each other, Uno will patrol the area while I stay with the dragon" I stated

I watched the happy smiles turn to bitter ones, well, only Brunhilde was the one whos smile turned into a grin

The sparing pairs were like this:

Brunhilde vs. Reina

Melphis vs. Albert

The pairs drew some distance from each other before engaging in combat. Brunhilde and Reina fought with speedy attacks as their forte. Albert didn't bother drawing his bow and engaged in close combat, Melphis also used her rod as a weapon and fought off Albert's attacks.

After half an hour of intense fighting, Brunhilde won but she suffered some injuries while Reina was down on the ground, struggling to catch her breath. Melphis and Albert had a draw with both sitting down on the ground, there wasn't much of a damage between the two but they've both exhausted their stamina

"GOOD JOB! NOW REST UP, AS FOR YOU BRUNHILDE, SINCE YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE LEFT STANDING, WE'LL HAVE TO FIGHT LATER" I announced with a shout, is this how the trainers do it? damn, my lungs hurt... if I had one

After announcing that, everyone grinned at Brunhilde and surprisingly Brunhilde let out a confident smile which only pissed off the other three. I called Guardian 1 back so that he can watch over the dragon while Brunhilde and I have our match.

After resting for an hour, Brunhilde was ready, the others? they were eagerly waiting for Brunhilde's defeat.

I readied my stance, I will fight Brunhilde bare handed while she's using the Bee Rapier.

"Come at me" I spoke out

Brunhilde didn't waste any second and dashed forward, she thrust forward. I used the back of my palm and fended off the attack, she didn't stop and instead slid behind me before standing up and using her signature move, she rained down speedy rapier thrusts on my back but I moved to the side and her attack hit nothing but air.

"[Greater speed enhancement]!" Brunhilde roared out as she was covered in a green light

She started dashing forward, she attacked and as usual, I fended off the attack but this time, I sensed another attack on my left. I leaned back and evaded an attack, I sensed another attack but this time, I jumped up as Brunhilde's leg swept the ground. I supported myself with my hand as I pushed myself up and back into the air. The ground underneath me was riddled with holes from Brunhilde's attack

I landed 6 feet away from Brunhilde

"Use your ability" Brunhilde stated

"Nope" I replied

"Then I'll force you!" She roared out before dashing forward, she started attacking, each attack leaving an after image. I couldn't possibly fend off all of them so I instead, I moved and evaded the attacks

But wherever I go, an attack was sure to follow me, I got irritated so when I found the chance, I put more force on my next attack, once the back of my palm hit her rapier, she instantly lost balance and almost fell down. She managed to recover and pulled out another rapier, I did give her two Blood Bee rapiers.

She threw one up in the air as she attacked with the rapier in her hand, I dodged every attack but soon I was forced to dodge another set of attacks that appeared above me.

Brunhilde is really serious about this huh

On her next attack, I pinched the rapier with my fingers. She abandoned the rapier and picked up the other, she continued her attack but I pinched the rapier again with my other hand. She was at loss so she abandoned her last weapon and just used her bare hands, I threw the weapons away before flicking her forehead

"You lost" I stated as she sat down, exhausted

"Strangely enough, I'm happy" She stated

"The feeling is mutual" I chuckled

"Still though, Brunhilde almost took you down" Melphis commented

"Nah, If you observed carefully, Zeno wasn't even attacking much, he only defended most of the time" Reina stated

"Yeah, I agree with Reina" Albert followed up

"No, come on Brunhilde, tell them that you almost beat Zeno" Melphis ignored the two

"Yeah... as much as I'd like to believe that, I didn't even have the slightest upper hand during the fight" Brunhilde smiled as she replied

"But you had a chance, period" Melphis refused to back down

"Yeah, Brunhilde and everyone here can defeat me if they train enough" I stated

"That's too high of a hurdle" Melphis replied

"... do you guys know why I picked you?" I stated

"We were curious at first but we almost forgot about it because of the harsh training" Albert replied

"Well, I think it's about time to tell you guys"

I don't want them to follow me to a battle without even knowing who they're facing, if they will leave after I tell them, then I am ok with it

"I haven't seen any of them here but in the other country, there have been recent attacks by monsters unlike any other you guys have seen. They were called "Invaders" or "God's Angels" but I call them, "The Colony" they're a collection of large insects that crave for blood be it, humans, animals, monsters, or even they're own ally. They are extremely dangerous if left alone" I explained

"Which leaves the question... how do you know all of this" Melphis asked

"They originally came from my country" I replied

"Wait... so you're not from any kingdom or village around here?" Albert was surprised

"Yeah, believe it or not, I'm not from around here. I met Princess Cynthia back in the other country, from there we journeyed together until I helped her reclaim her throne" I stated

"...So you're not her own personal Knight?" Reina asked

"I'm more of a friend" I nodded

"Then this monsters, did you come here to kill them?" Albert asked

"No, I didn't come. I was taken, before I knew it, I was already here, I wanted to lead a peaceful life away from all the fighting but in the end, I was back to fighting" I sighed

"Alright, tell us more about these creatures, if you consider them dangerous then we're going to be in a lot of trouble" Reina spoke out

"Like I said, they're mostly overgrown insects but they have tough exoskeletons, the weapons you use right now won't be enough to break through their defenses but they did seem to take damage from magic" I replied

"Then... how can we non-mages fight them?" Reina asked

"What do you think of Brunhilde's rapiers?" I asked

"They're sharp, hard, and light, I can't say more but they seem to be weapons of high quality" Reina replied

"These rapiers are made out of one of the highest ranking among a colony, the King. I plan to go for them and gather enough material to arm everyone here" I explained

"Just us huh... which means the army won't be equipping any of those things... then, what will happen to them?" Albert asked

"I want to hunt down each colony and kill their leader, their Queen. Once that is done, the entire colony will fall on itself. I wish to kill their Queen before they can even mobilize their army" I pointed

"Then that means, we're going to be assassins?" Reina stated

"Yeah. Melphis is for the magical damage, Albert as our eyes and ranged support, Reina due to her background in assassination, and Brunhilde for her experience and talent" I pointed out everyone's quirk

"I see, I can understand why you're training us so hard now" Albert nodded

"I hope you guys won't change your minds once we face them"
