Sunshine.

Bright, brilliant sunlight shown through the window and directly onto Leviene’s face.

“Damn it, who left the lights on?” Leviene whine while pulling up the covers to block the hated sunlight. Covers are nice. It keeps you warm in the middle of the night and can block out the sun.

The same trait is its bane, especially during the summer months when it is hot and humid.

Leviene tried to sleep with the covers over her head, but it becomes too hot for the short Perrian Let to continue her journey into dreamland.

“Damn evil relative, it is all your fault.” The cranky Leviene placed all the blames onto Sylphie and Erica when she was the one who tried to sleep under layers of blankets.

Shuffling out of bed, Leviene tried to make her way to the bathroom, only to hit the wall. Habits are hard to break.

“Gah. People still need to use the bathroom even if it is a virtual reality game!”

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: I can make it happen.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Wah?

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Silly brat!

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Gahhh.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: What gah? Don’t even recognize your own mother. /cry

Leviene was finally awake enough to figure out the situation. She hurriedly explains herself and correct Madalinos’ assumption, or else.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: I was asleep. Why did you have to wake me up?

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: I felt something interfering with our bond, so I’ve been probing the situation. You’ve been asleep for the last three days.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Three days!

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: And three days before that, you were unresponsive. I was worried.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Did you figure out what happened?

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: No. That what made me worried.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Sec. Let me check myself out.

Leviene notice her unusual choice of words. She was glad Madalinos wasn’t very good with American slang.

Leviene started off checking her physical self. No deformaties or changes noted. The stupid tail was behaving itself for a change and her wings are still black and white.

She pulled up her character screen then scream in surprised.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: What’s wrong?

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: I’m level 30. I spent three days to get to level 30! Yay!

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: I don’t see it is remarkable to get to level 30. Your friends are already level 30.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: It is the reward for no effort.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: But you did put in the effort.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: I don’t remember doing it, therefore I didn’t do it. Hehe

That silly concept of Leviene gets her out of trouble with her family many times before. Her family was helpless with the current predicament. They could only let her pretend nothing happened.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: That doesn’t make sense.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: A lot of things doesn’t. I’ve been told it is best to chalk it up to me being me.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Aside from the gain in levels, how are you?

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: I’m perfectly fine. In fact, I’m better than fine.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Good. Don’t scare me like that again. I was about to go into the personal dungeons and find out what happened to you myself.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Please don’t do that.

Leviene doesn’t want to imagine the havoc Madalinos can cause when she breaks the rules of Arashia. Her gut instinct tells her it would be bad. Since her gut instinct saved her butt many times before, Leviene is inclined to trust her instinct.

Leviene did wonder, what happen when a GM breaks the rules?

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: I won’t do it if you’d keep in contact with me. Btw, what happened?

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: No idea.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: I see.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Well, I’m sure there is a lot of things you need to do since you level to level 30. I’ll leave you to your wondering for now. Contact me when you have the chance.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Don’t wait too long though.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Aren’t you going to pry into my problems like all mothers do?

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Do you want me to?

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Not really.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: Then I won’t. I respect your decision.

Leviene can tell how much the last sentences cost Madalinos. It feels comforting.

There is no doubt Leviene has many family members who are interested in her welfare. They’d kills for her if it was what Leviene wanted. They’ve done so before.

However, few would respect her decision to be independant. They want to lock her up in a cage. “It is for your own safety,” they would say, but it isn’t what Leviene wanted. Now there is a super powerful woman who loves her, yet respect the decision she made no matter how contrary to her instinct it may seems.

If Leviene realized all of Arashia is a cage she’s trapped in then she wouldn’t feel so happy. In this case, ignorance is truly bliss.

[Leviene whisper to Madalinos]: Thank you.

[Madalinos whisper to Leviene]: You are welcome.

After making sure the worry wart is gone, Leviene did a jig in her room. “Level 30. Level 30. Level 30. Oohhh, maybe my other characters might be higher than level 30. Hehe.”

Leviene pulled up the main menu and checked out her other characters. Altreyes - level 30, Rayael - level 30, Arganox - level 3,000,000

3,000,000!

Levienes eyes widen and bulge out as she saw the level of her last character. No way was it possible!

After rubbing her eyes a couple of time to confirm the level wasn’t a hoax, Leviene did another jig.

“I can kill all the bosses in the game and get loot! Money!”

The silly player finally settles down and tried to change into Arganox only to get a pop up screen.
