Chapter 0034
“What was that? What was that? What was that? What was that?” The thought echoed through Leviene’s mind as she raced towards the Eternal Palace and the quest objective, Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar.
During the gaming years, Sylphie is the guild leader of Slaughter in Dark Drake Kingdom. Slaughter is the best guild among the American servers. The players have the best gear on the server. They were the first to challenge new content and conquer it. Everyone wanted to join their guild.
The raid leader and the guild leader enjoyed the most fame and notoriety among the elite of the elites. They enjoyed more fame, given more accolades and had more prestige than their regular guildy counterpart.
Everything came with a price.
For Sylphie, the near god-like status came with the daily headache of managing the most arrogant, egocentric, drama queens on the entire server.
Who doesn’t want fame and glory when they put in the same amount of time and effort on the venture?
While there is a few laid back guys in the guild who log on to play the game, most join for the rewards and the bragging rights. These guys are probably shut in neets who live with their mother. Okay, not really, but that was the stereotype going around about gamers at the time.
Suffice to say, Sylphie bullsh*t tolerance is quite high. It has to be. She need to coral hormonal teenagers with egos bigger than the Nile river.
So given Sylphie’s crisis management ability, why did she lose it with Erica back there?
Granted, Erica can the try the patiences of a saint and is probably worse than a frat doped out on booze, but still… what was that back there?
Is there drugs in this world? Did gamer Sylphie revert back to drug addict Jessica? Cause the behavior there is like druggy Jessica searching for a high.
Leviene knows a drug habit is hard to kick. People can go months without a cigarette, then a crisis happen and the cancer stick is right back in their hands.
If Sylphie relapse then this little scaredy cat is going stay far away from Syphie as much as possible. Leviene knows she can’t handle Sylphie when she being diabolical. No siree. Sylphie run circle around Leviene on her better days, and that’s her being nice!

Yup, yup, stay far away from the drug addict as much as possible.
Yup, yup, wait for backup to come.
Yup, yup, find a place to hide.
Yup, yup, block all communications.
Yup, yup… bang!
“Whoa child.” Gentle arms held the little Perrian Let securely against a D-cup chest.
It isn’t strange for men to know the breast size of a woman. They ogle it enough to have a rough idea.
Leviene is staunchly female. Anyone wondering why Leviene knows the breast size just by being hugged, well…
Incident 1- Leviene 5 years old: Oh child are you lost? Let me help you find your parents. Aww, you’re all tired out looking for your parents. Here, I’ll carry you. A young Leviene pressed against a warm comforting B-cup chest.
Incident 2 - Leviene 5 years old: Oh what a cute child, here let Aunty hold you. A young Leviene pressed against a warm comforting C-cup chest.
Incident 3 - Leviene 5 years old: Coochie coo. Ah, come back, I just want to pinch your cheeks. Caught. A young Leviene pressed against a warm comforting A-cup chest.
Incident 4 - Leviene 5 years old: Oh baby, who’s the big meanie who hurt you. Let Aunty kiss it all better. A young Leviene pressed against a warm comforting B-cup chest.
Incident 5 - Leviene 5 years old: Ah sweetie, what’s wrong? You want the chocolate, but your parents forgot to give you money. Here let Aunty buy it for you. Say ahhh. A young Leviene pressed against a warm comforting C-cup chest.
The list continues on and on. Hell, even now Leviene get the awww cute baby treatment. Perfect example - Madalinos and baby talk. What is she, a walking chick magnet?
Well there was the time Matthew brought her to a bar and she was surrounded by women pourig their hearts out to her, and being the good future healer that she was, Leviene listen with an open mind and soothing heart.
That was bad. Drunk women talking out their problems… it’s fine if they pour out their woes and sorrow, but did they have to add their breakfast/lunch/dinner onto her clothes. It wasn’t one person either.
Leviene swore she never go to another bar with Wraith again. Rumour has it, he got laid. Rumours are rumours because they are just that, rumours. Leviene knows for a fact the rat bastard didn’t get laid that night because if you dare bring your sister to be your wingman/female bait, then be prepared to be cocked blocked by said sister as she tries to clean stains of dubious nature off her clothes and pulling said brother to help.

“Little one, is everything alright?” a sweet gentle voice broke Leviene’s retrospection and put Leviene on guard immediately. Women with a sweet gentle voice are dangerous.
“Everything is fine. I apologize for bumping into you. It was my fault for not looking.” No matter how much Leviene want to run in the opposite direction as fast as she can, manners dictate she at least apologize.
“Think nothing of it little one.”
“I’m not little,” mumbled the short Perrian Let. Even a shorties has dignity.
“What was that young one? I can’t hear you. Look up and speak again.”
Leviene wanted to say she isn’t short, yet the words got stuck in her throat she look up to see who she was speaking to. Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar.
How lucky was she to run into the quest giver when she wasn’t looking? Very lucky, that what!
“Ahem, I ask are you Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar?”
“Why yes I am.” The eyebrow twitch. It is definitely the eyebrow twitch. Leviene knew the subtle action anywhere because once she entered puberty and lost the cute adorable baby look, she would get the eyebrow twitch when ever she asked a question.
Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar is definitely annoyed with her.
Leviene knew it was her questioning her identity that cause it. Oh well.
“My dear Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar I was given a quest by the will of the world to seek you out.” Leviene gave an elegant curtsey. Having been on the receiving end of the eyebrow twitch for most of her adult life, the short Perrian Let how to behave to sooth the annoyance she caused.
“Oh and what is it does the will of the world tell you to do once you found me?”
Ahhhh, Leviene cried inside her heart while she still kept a polite facade, “For one to become an Empress and rule, one must gain the recognition of her subjects. Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar represent the will the of the people.” Leviene directly quoted from the quest. She isn’t that eloquence. A fake smile while drawing blood from a 6 year old is the best she can do.
Leviene felt it is best to remain polite and while she’s not as off putting as Erica in the verbage department she does sticks her feet in her mouth often enough to limit her interaction with strangers. Beside, the eyebrow twitch still there.
“Impossible. A child trying gain the respect of an adult. You best go back home to your mommy and wait another thousand or so year before you attempt it.” Leviene’s luck can be considered good and it can also be considered bad. While she does ge lost and meet interesting people she also meet perverted people although they do have a common trait of trying to protect her/bail her out of trouble/parent her/guard her. And the coochicoos. What the hell.
After giving Leviene the shutdown, Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar proceed to go cutesy on her starting from poking to pinching to finally the most hate coochicoos.
Smack.
“Lady, I ain’t no doll face baby, so quit it with the coochicoos.” Leviene doesn’t know and no one tells her that she looks adorable when she’s trying to act tough. Leviene thinks she glaring the other side down when they are trying to hold in their laughter. It might be her eyes. The small Perrian Let has a pair of startling clear blue eyes that enlarges when she tries to glare. Instead of looking like menacing gangster, she looks like a pleading puppy with sad sad sad eyes. It could be her cheeks. Ever seen a chipmunk with a mouth filled with food? Leviene’s cheek get puffy when she tries to act tough.
All in all, an angry Leviene looks like a pouting 3 year old.
Few can resist her.
Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar can’t either.

He had nearly given up hope on being a mage when his family got him a new skill for his 18th birthday. Suddenly, with his mana pool expanded because of the skill, Kyle’s mana regeneration shot through the roof. But while humanity worked hard to loot dungeons and increase their skills and stats, Change was coming, and peace cannot last forever. The story is currently on haitus. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)

Greene's Monthly Contest
most writers don't have enough recognition. most of them only win awards based on the general aspects of a story; genre or theme, judged by the same things, not appreciating the genius behind the chapters. same awards, same results.--and we disagree with that.
