《The Chaos Within》Reborn

Kira was so worried and scared. She kept sobbing outside, waiting for the doctors to come out. Marcus was walking down the hall after visiting his daughter when he saw Smith, standing beside Kira who was sobbing.
"Smith?" Marcus called as he approached them at a quick pace. "Is everything ok?"
Smith sat down with his old buddy and had a conversation with him, explaining the whole situation.
"And that's pretty much it, now we're waiting for any good news regarding that kid"
"I see" looking straight ahead something caught his attention during the conversation with Smith.
The Emergency room's door opened and the doctor walked out. His expression was so obvious, it showed how displeased he was with the results.
Leo was taken to an intensive care room and was connected to different devices.
The doctor went to them. "I'm sorry, there's not much we can do, he has so much internal bleeding. His right arm was broken for the second time, a fatal stab to the back, and a heavy concussion to the brain not to mention he's lost so much blood and it seems he did a blood transfusion recently. I'm so sorry but there's nothing we can do"
Kira was sobbing, fearing for Leo's life. Her father patted her back a few times trying to comfort her.
Marcus noticed something on the doctor's patient file of Leonardo, he nodded to himself upon confirming it with Smith's story then went back beside Smith and Kira, trying to comfort her.
"Doctor, we need you right now!" one of the nurses yelled.
The doctor rushed to Leo's room, Smith, Kira, and Marcus stood outside the window. Kira sobs intensified while watching them trying everything to keep Leo alive.
TetTetTetTet... Teeeeeee
The heart rate sensor made the sound, the sound which Kira was hoping she'd never heard.

Leo's heart stopped beating, the doctors were trying their best with the electrical cardioversion.
It was all happening in a bit of a slow-motion to the witnesses especially Kira.
"Clear!" The doctor prepared the defibrillator for the second shock.
"Clear!"
Tears were pouring down Kira's cheeks, watching the one young man she loved laying dead, her fingers were entwined, shaking with fear and praying for him to survive.
But you don't get everything you wish for.
TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. The sound of the heart rate sensor was confirming the death of Leo.
"Time of death, 10:14 PM" the doctor nodded to his assistant.
Kira walked slowly towards Leo with tears dripping down her eyes. "Don't die–please!" She held Leo's hand in hers.
The doctor tried to place the white blanket on Leo's face but Smith pulled him gently by his arm." Please, let her give her goodbyes, he was a good kid". The doctor nodded and took a few steps back, giving some space to Kira.
She then remembered every moment she spent with Leo, their first meeting, and how he pulled her away from the truck and grinned at her. How Max made fun of him, pushed him aside yet he just grinned and pushed himself up. How she saw him get beaten up in the alley yet he kept his grin even though the tears fell down his left eye. How he made the blood transfusion to her and how she saw him grinning at her while she was in the hospital bed, she wasn't sure why she could remember that moment now. And how he angered the two gangsters to get their attention away from Kira, fearing for her life, taking all that beating and holding on with every bit of strength to keep her safe. The last thing she could see was a memory of Leo, grinning at her in class.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so–sorry" Kira sobbed. She leaned closer to him and gave him a first and last kiss on his lips before stepping back slowly to her father's side. She turned around to her dad, sobbing as she was leaving the room. Her dad also left the room to comfort her outside.
"Can I have a moment with the kid? I knew him and I'd like to say my goodbyes, please" Marcus asked the doctor politely.
The doctor nodded. "I'll give you a minute". The doctor waited outside for Marcus. Two minutes passed and Marcus walked to the door, disappointed with a sad look on his face.
Kira gave Leo one last look while Marcus was there standing in front of him, blocking her vision. She then walked away with her dad.
TET... TET... TET.
Everyone could hear the heart rate sensor, including Kira herself. She looked back, shocked, and ran back towards Leo's room window.
"Doctor?!" A shout came from Leo's room, it was Marcus's voice.
The doctor rushed back inside and instructed his assistant to hand him a syringe. Marcus stood aside, observing.
TET TET TET TET TET TET TET TET TET TET
The heart rate sensor started beeping faster and faster as Leo's body started to shake rapidly.
As soon as the doctor injected him with the syringe he stabilized and his eyes closed again.
The doctor was so confused. He remembers clearly that he shut down the heart rate sensor after confirming Leo's death. How did that happen then?
Two minutes ago, after Marcus requested some time with Leo. He took out a syringe full of the X-520 serum he'd worked on. It was made of the Salamander Axolotl genes, mixed up with special chemical substances and some other animal genes to create the serum. A month ago When Marcus was sitting on his desk and rechecking his research he came out with a theory that the rarer the blood type the higher the chances for the serum to work.
O -80%
A +45%
A -85%
B +75%
B -90%
AB +87%
AB -91%
The desperate scientist's daughter's blood type was B-Negative. If there was the slightest chance for the serum to work on Leo then it would definitely work on his daughter and save her life.
So, the desperate scientist took a chance, hoping for the serum to work on Leo. He injected Leo's chest with it right away while pretending to be giving his goodbyes.
The serum reacted with Leo's blood cells right away and a spark of orange electricity ran through his body until it finally reached his heart, wrapped around it then went through his veins inside his heart, shocking it again and again and again until the heart muscle recovered and started bumping again, at the same time an orange charge went through Leo's body into his chest and went through the heart rate sensor's wire, charging it with the abnormal electricity and turning it on. That was the moment the heart rate sensor reacted and confirmed Leo's survival.
And so Leonardo lived. Kira hugged her father but this time she had those tears of joy running down her cheeks.
Kira insisted to spend the night with Leo until he wakes up even though the doctors told her he was still in a coma and might not wake up at all but she still had hope.

Unbound Deathlord: Challenge
Due to Amazon's Kindle Unlimited rules, I had to pull most of the book content from RoyalRoad. Only sample chapters remain. To read a fiction that will never be removed from Royal Road, I recommend my other fiction: Immortal Conqueror. The first two books of the series are out on Amazon: Book 1: Unbound Deathlord: ChallengeBook 2: Unbound Deathlord: Obliteration Book 1: Challenge When virtual reality becomes real enough that people feel as if they’re being transported to another world, Valia Online arrives.A man running from his past joins the game to forget it all. Calling himself Jack Thorn, he chooses an undead race, Deathlord.A mage by choice, and a swordsman by necessity, he soon finds out that he’ll need to use much more than magic and steel to survive; strategy, creativity, and carefully chosen words can often accomplish what simple attacks can’t.As the game becomes too real and touches a part of him that he’d rather leave buried, he is faced with two questions:Who is he, really? And who should he become?

The entire novel's philosophical proposal is about finding meaning in a nihilistic world. This novel is a fun juvenalia take on the impact of the 'Death of God' and Descartes's skepticism. ;) (Back cover)

Superhuman Magus is a title that is based on a concept. Can't say more as it's a spoiler. I prefer the first title but it's just that the current title might attract more people. First title didn't make the novel seem like it's fantasy based. >>Motivation to create Novel: I created this novel to implement the vast imaginations I had while I was not creating a novel. So, there will be a lot of extreme imaginations. Most of these imaginations can only be implemented afterwards as it's a story. So it will take a while.
