《Munivit Anima》Chapter 5 Decision

I kept on following them until we reach the Emperor's audience chamber, i hid my presence with the knowledge of my past life and actually i'm surprised it was effective. I believe there is another way of hiding your presence by using magic, but i can't even use magic yet so it's impossible for me to use that spell.
"Hmm.. So this is the audience chamber...." There are quite a several people inside, but the Emperor isn't present yet so i was able to blend in with the noble without them noticing that i'm a Prince.
The Audience Chamber gives you the feeling of awe. The walls have the same color of gold and the light of the sunset reflect from the big windows which make the room brighter and the walls are releasing a gold color glow. The floor is made of yellowish ceramic tiles, but in the center of the floor, there's a big red gem embedded on it and i wonder why would they place such valuable gem on the floor, there's no carpet placed on the floor but you can see a lot of different carvings and designs. If you look in front, in the higher section of the room there are currently five empty seats and in the center of those five is probably the Emperor's seat because it has more imposing designs.
I placed my attention back to the Priestess and her subordinates. They're currently feeling anxious by the gazes of the surrounding nobles.
"Came here to plead again?" One of the nobles said it with a grin.
"No. Maybe she's here offering her body this time." Uttered by the small noble who's currently locking his gaze to the priestess bosoms and the priestess who felt unease about it and tried to cover her body.
After a few minutes the Emperor together with four of my siblings entered the room and when everyone noticed them, they immediately bowed their heads until the Emperor reach his seat, actually i'm the only one who didn't bow down and since i'm still small nobody noticed it.

When the Emperor is finally seated, he immediately look at the priestess with a disparage gaze, though he didn't say anything yet you can feel the heaviness and cold presence around him, his eyes are empty and i have a good idea what cause this guy to turn out like this. It's my first time to see the Emperor personally, i saw some paintings of him, but that wasn't enough to give me a full impression on him, but now that he's right in from me, i can tell that this guy is actually very strong, i'm on the far end of the room, but i can feel so much murderous intent leaking out from him.
But priestess did not waver and stepped in forward.
"Your Majesty! Show your mercy upon my people, please let them go." The priestess was bowing her head while saying those words.
Silence filled the room for a few seconds, then the Emperor spoke.
"...You know very well that the only thing keeping me from making you a slave is because i don't need any slaves to use for now. I can send you as a give to any nobles, but i didn't do it as a respect for your courage to come all the way here just to meet me, But now you're starting to annoy me and maybe i'll just make you a slave and send to someone as a gift"
When the priestess heard those words her fox ears twitched in fear, but she didn't show it to her face and without bowing her head she continued to speak with the Emperor.
"...I'll do anything to save my kin..."
"Hooo... I heard that one of my subjects, Ressy Trus asked for your body, but you refused and took your chances to speak with me just to save them. Do expect to find a different solution " The Emperor voiced out in a mocking tone.

"I'll tell you this, It's impossible for a mere Beastkin to make a bargain with me and if you ever try to request an audience with me again, then you and your kin will personally die in my hands" with tone full of disgust Emperor Zion gave his answer to the priestess fox.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wow, that was quite a show. I never thought The Emperor of this big empire is an asshole." I said it to myself while waiting for the Priestess to come outside with her subordinates. After her audience with the emperor i quickly get out of the room to avoid noticing by him, i don't want to associate with the emperor as possible as i can since he didn't even bother visiting my mother or Lia's mother, i'll do the same to him. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with that guy.
When i saw the priestess came out of the room, I noticed that her subordinate is panicking or some reason so i decided to get close and listen to them.
"Priestess Selyn you can't...." The oldest Beast-Fox said worryingly.
"It's the only way.... If my body and life can save them, then I'll have no choice but to do it..." The Priestess with a voice full of dejection responds to him.
"....There must be another way.." He replied back while closing his eyes, seems like he doesn't want to see the sad expression of their priestess.
The priestess was supposed to say something again, but then she noticed me.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" After she noticed me, she asked me in a worry.
"Uhm.. I'm lost? Maybe?... Ah yeah, that's right, I'm lost." I gave an unconvincing excuse to her. I just can't suddenly tell her that i'm a prince because they might suddenly kidnap me and make a bargain with the Emperor and i don't want to worry my mother.
"You should talk to some of the guards. Surely they'll help you find your way back." She gently said those words to me with a smile and patted my head, but a person's eye can't lie, i know right now she's in sorrow and i at least want to do something for her.
"Uhm... Yeah, i'll find a guard and ask them for help" I pretended to leave, but of course when i reach a good distance i'll keep on following them.
"Umm.... Be careful on your way back okay?" While I'm leaving, she suddenly said those words. It seems like she's a very caring person to worry to a stranger like me. I smiled back to her in response.
After i managed to have a distance with them, I again hid my presence and follow them. One of the guards is escorting them and i suspect that they're heading to the noble Ressy's place.
While following them, i began to make my plan. It's true that i won't gain anything by helping them, but you don't need a good reason to help someone do you? Maybe one of the reasons is because slavery disgust me so much. Slavery is a thief, it takes everything from a person, their choice, their chance to prosper, their honor and take even the future of peace because slavery will only bare hatred into the hearts of the sufferers.

In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension. Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them. **** Warning **** This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)). I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book. Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.
