《Virtual reality: Sorp》Chapter thirty three: Is this still virtual reality?

The recording of Sorp killing eleven people in succession has been met with great criticism. People were not just questioning the morality of it all, but also whether it was real.
Some people cannot fathom the darkness that seeps into the minds of men. The absolute horrors they will commit.
This is in spite of history repeatedly proving how cruel, how sadistic people can become. And in this video the stark difference between the two worlds is apparent.
No matter how people viewed the situation, Sorp attacked unprovoked. Every piece of evidence pointed towards Sorp being excessively cruel.
But nothing would happen to Sorp. this was a game after all. No matter how the twelve protested. No matter how the world’s outrage.
What the world agreed on, was Sorp was a monster. His popularity skyrocketed. This was notoriety.
Yet what people met with, as they tuned into his feed, his recordings. Was a rigours training scheme, shocking amount of food intake and frequent sexual interactions with multiple different women.
While Sorp did not overtake the most popular recorders, he did manage to land himself on what isn't considered the front page.
Hundreds of thousands of people were watching at any given moment. Sorp ignored it entirely and never even looked at then options around recording after turning it on.
He ignored it because he wasn’t interested in it. He instead did what he wanted to do. He trained, ate and partook in his carnal desires. As did the other guys.
The cruelty Sorp displayed was eventually downplayed. It took only three weeks for a large faction to emerge, heralding what Sorp did as an heroic feat. ignoring the moral guidelines broken.
Six weeks into the training, noone was qualified to take the test. Meaning no one was promoted and the next test would after two weeks.
The reason for this is that the crafting difficulty proved itself to be a harder obstacle to overcome than expected.
Majority of the camp meets the physical and B.F.M. requirements after roughly three to four weeks of training.
What was strange, was that Sorp would choose the more deserted areas of the camp to practice. One can only assume it is because he wants others to have ideas and attack him.
While it was awkward for the four guys to chase Sorp around. His obvious actions could only make them feel exasperated. But they would never question his actions.
Sorp never knew why those twelve men had followed him and his friends. What he did know, to the best of his knowledge was that he had no instigated the hostilities.
What Sorp gathered, was that one of his good friends had caused some problem, and these people had come to take care of them.

Noone came after Sorp. This was due to a simple reason. Majority of his enemies had been forcefully cast back to the original spawn points.
While they had the opportunity, assuming everything went perfectly, to return back to the Second wave reinforcement camp. They had still not prepared another revenge plan.
Even if these twelve do not prepare another attack, Sorp and his friends very violent entertaining habits cause them to garner enemies fast.
Instead of worrying about any potential attack, Sorp and the guys began focusing their efforts towards their crafting. They needed to be capable of creating every in their recipe tab.
Alongside this they need at least a seventy percent completion on everyone one of the items.
Every item has a degree of completion. This is something that the advanced Artificial intelligence judges.
This Artificial intelligence is not like the virtual humans. These two possess similar traits but the virtual humans do not possess one percentage of the intelligence that the artificial intelligence network possesses.
While virtual humans can only be compared to humans, this is already an enormous feat. This is because what virtual humans are capable of, is something that is inherently hard for computers to emulate.
Humans are good at a lot of things. For example, identifying a person by their outwards appearance. This is something computers are not good at.
While computers can be made to recognize humans from appearance alone, this requires enormous amount of resources. This is in comparison to a human’s casual glance to do the same.
The two types of intelligence can be split into two. Virtual humans can be considered a waste of resources in some sense.
It is exactly because virtual humans are so similar to humans that they are hard to distinguish. And it will only become harder and harder as time goes on.
This is because they continue to adapt to society and because soon enough, billions of humans will enter this world, their variety will make it harder to differentiate.
Dart put a great deal of thought into this matter. Dart’s problem is that he was a hoodlum. He was cruel and in some sense, dumb.
No matter how he tried to predict human nature, he was still too inexperienced. This has a lot do with the absurdity, that is Sorp. Anyone that knows this person, cannot fit it into the puzzle that is human nature.
While what Sorp did can be considered evil. In every sense of the word, Sorp is evil. He is something to be damned. A creature unfit for human society. Yet he here still is.
In a sense, it can be said that society has failed to restrict him. He grew up in object poverty, at least what poverty means in this socialist society.

Unlike psychopaths and sociopaths, Sorp acts on his insects. A sociopath has no emotions, especially not protective emotions.
A sociopath may have certain inclinations towards those that they consider their loved ones, but they won’t be like Sorp. Sorp lacked the ego inherent in a sociopath.
No. Sorp is an animal. In every sense of the word. An intelligent animal. It can be said that humans are animals as well, only hiding behind the world civilisation.
This is not wrong and can be somewhat confusing or at least covaluted. Because humans are indeed animals. But they have created walls between themselves and animals.
Even amongst themselves there are walls. Thousands upon thousands of walls, creating individuality on a scale that appears bizarre from some points of view.
Sorp is not like this. Aside from what Sorp considers his family, everything else is prey. An odd thought. It even sounds like he has made the world his enemy.
It isn't that the world is his enemy, but that the world is his prey. Whether they acknowledge this position or not.
“Another spear?”
“Spears are good. Their range are long, they are fast and hard to dodge.”
“Jarem stop bothering Sorp and practice your poisons. Don’t think we don’t know what you want to do with them.”
“Shut your mouth, Pal. My righteous poisons are meant to assist all of you. If anything, you should thank me for helping you.”
“I’ll thank you for sucking my dick. How about that?”
It was conversations like this that made them famous. Because Sorp had an enormous view base, and the guys spent majority of their waking time with Sorp.
Sorp didn’t really speak unless spoken to. It is hard to understand why, perhaps he didn’t have much to say, maybe it was because he didn’t want to.
That didn’t stop the guys from bickering constantly, there were five of them, this is excluding Ret who was training with animals, and it took majority of his time.
There four of them, and while Dart didn’t speak much either, he still chipped in with a demeaning response every once in a while.
It was actually Jarem and Pal that were most active in these conversations. At least on the insulting front. Kom of course was very active as well, just less insulting.
Sorp did also join in. But these moments were rare. All this caused Pal, Jarem and Kom to gain some recognition from the viewers.
This is actually how things go in the entertainment business. The famous get more famous, to the point where being affiliated with them causes second hand fame.
It might sound exaggerated but this is how it goes. With fame there comes more fame, especially with controversy. Pal, Jarem and Kom were fuel for controversy.
Their conversations rarely strayed to appropriate topics and were usually on bad mouthing or talking about fucking some beauty or another.
Strange as it was, people loved to hear about their conversations. They were unruly and shameless. Just like anyone who they grew up with.
The main difference was that they suddenly had a spotlight to bathe in. and to their surprise, the spotlight seemed to love them.
Ignoring their conversations, they could be considered pioneers in crafting. Although there were quite a few people in different locations learning about professions, they were among those few.
Sorp spent his time forging weapons. His B.F.M tool took quite the toll on him, as did everyones tools.
Jarem was working with poisons and this required finesse. A slight mistake might ruin the poison or in dramatic cases, poison him.
Poison arts can be considered the most dangerous of the crafting professions. Whether it is when using materials or acquiring them.
Poison arts is actually the most popular crafting profession. This has a lot due to to four individuals.
These individuals record themselves are considered worldwide celebrities. They are not on the path that Sorp and the guys took.
But all paths have something in common, they all end crafting professions, as it is crafting professions that are key to all future progress.
The least popular professions is Synthesizer. Mainly because it does not provide expediente results. This is a profession, Dart is most interested in.
What is most curious about it, is that it is highly dependant on farmers to study. Farmers rear a type of bird who possess B.F.M elements.
These birds can launch a projectile three meters in front of them. This projectile can pierce human skin but cannot cut bones.
The B.F.M. material is concentrated in the nerves leading to the beak and the beak itself. This beak and the nerves are materials used by Synthesizers.
The only reason why Dart has not completed the crafting requirements is because he is studying two professions simultaneously.
He is going so far as to looking into a third profession. It is good that these three professions are all directly linked and an be considered sharing the same roots.
Engraver
Augmenter
Synthesizer
The Augments are very simple. At least at this point. They can be considered their own B.F.M. in a way.
These Augments can add length, a small thrusting boost, width and so on. Later these changes can add miraculous additions. These additions are loosely explained in Perpetuity lore.
