《Allister Hale's Story Graveyard.》Bloodforests regency 1/5

She'll adjusted her dress. Despite the emptiness of her title she was she was still considered a peer of the realm. As such she was expected to make the right impression.
To the men of power she was nothing more than a doll. A lovely little pawn to be moved in their games of power. Her grand uncle had done what he could to shield her from the machinations of the inner court, but he had allowed her to hold the reins of power in her small barony for too long. Her rule had weakened his and her grand uncle, the King of the Blood Forests, abdicated the throne after appointing her a proper regent.
Chelsea “Chel” Engel was dressed in the supposedly fashionable cage skirt popular among the dolls of the inner and outer courts waiting for her regent. Chel idly pictured herself as a bride waiting for her groom. The man’s appointment as her regent was close enough to that of an arranged marriage that the image brought her a degree of satisfaction, even as her temper flared.
“Chel, focus!” Ginny’s hiss brought Chel out of her thoughts and back to the entry hall she was standing in. The room was sparsely decorated by the standards of nobility. Perfectly polished wood floors, a brilliantly dyed rug in the center of the room and portraits of her grand uncle and her own family hanging in full view of the great door.
Chel was just about ready to greet her regent when the Great door opened suddenly by a strange man who allowed a pair of foot men carrying a trunk to enter before him. They set the trunk just inside the door as the strange man entered the room. He absently nodded to the footmen and gave them a polite “Thanks” as they left.

The man took off a strange looking rucksack and set it on the trunk before he walked up to Chel and held out his hand. “Hello, name’s Alex, Alexander West. I’m your regent. How do?”
Chel stood there confused. Her skin began to perspire as she realized he was who he claimed to be. Chel clenched her jaw as she took a deep breath. Who was this man that he thought he could invade home and insult her like this?
Ginny must have noticed Chel’s rising temper as she hastily broke protocol by asking, “Pardon me sir regent, but where is Lord Larchwood?”
“Larchwood? He seemed a bit indignant to have been given the honor of ferrying me here. I hope you don’t mind, I had him make up an excuse to leave right away because I didn’t want to deal with him.”
Chel relaxed a little. Isaac Larchwood was one of her worst suitors and a stickler for court protocol to boot. Ginny openly suspected that the man would be perfectly happy if she were to drop dead on their wedding night should the two ever get married. Chel tended to agree.
“Hello Alex. I am Chelsea. When protocol allows you may simply call me Chel. This is Genevieve, my handmaid and companion.”
Ginny gave the man a polite bow and added “Ginny.”
Chel watched as the man awkwardly fidgeted with his hand before he let it drop to his side and smiled before saying, “Awesome, mind if I get settled in then? I for one would like to get into something more comfortable before anything else. Would you send for me when it comes time for dinner?”

Living With Magic
Arthur, a young magician, is struggling with crippling social anxiety. The issue has reached a point where he likely won't graduate from University. Reaching a crossroads, he must decide whether to try and return to a family he despises or make his own path in the world. Is the magical power he has actually beneficial in the real world? Authors Note: I'm terrible at writing a synopsis, but over time I hope to write a better one. One of my favorite series of books is the Magicians by Lev Grossman and I hope to follow that same line of thinking within my story. How would a society built around magic actually exist and is power and magic actually as great as other stories make it out to be? The story and characters will be completely original and I will try to update the story on a regular basis. Also, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
8 114Ishbula-na' (I've joined the family of the lord of the 7th ring of the Abyss, help!)
While staying overnight at his best friend's place, he unknowingly entered Ishbula-na's residence at the seventh ring of the abyss. Now this big fat floating eye is calling him his son and his best friend is teaching him how to hunt many strange lifeforms in this strange void, while he tries to maintain his regular life at the same time. AN (Posted Nov. 4th): on about 3 weeks from now I have two exams which will define where I am in a year after, so updates will come at a slower pace until the 26th. I will still try to get things out, but there won't be as many chapters/week as there have been so far.
8 190Storm of the Elementals
The apocalypse was something that people were expecting to happen sooner or later, rising sea levels and everything. What our protagonist didn't expect was it to be from a system, let alone the fact that he missed it. Waking up as an elemental and being given frighteningly little info from a system that seemed a little off , stuck with 3 other eccentric individuals that he could almost swear are a bit dodgy, and not being quite sure he was human anymore, it was the start of a long day. It only got longer when he found out he was moved to a whole different world. ~ This is a slow burn story, focusing on the world and what happens if an eccentric historian gets transported in a world with systems and power that are not quite meant for him. ~ Some things you can expect: -No harem, god no. -Yes the protagonist is strong, no he isn't completely OP. -Other people who have been changed, he isn't the only special or chosen one who got transported or messed with. -It is sad to actually have to put this here, but the main character does shockingly have common sense.
8 173Through the Wormhole
|11X WATTPAD FEATURED| Daniel Matton wasn't ready for an adventure, not until 5022 sent him into space on a journey to prehistoric times. The prehistoric animals test his patience, but at the end of the day, Dan must endure all the pain and suffering if he is to return home safely. *** Have you ever wanted to see where life first began? Meet Daniel Matton, a legendary adventurer who ventured to the past, present, and future in a starship known as PPMC, by traveling through a black hole, wormhole, and white hole. Now, did he want to be the star of the PPMC Project? Heck no, but he loved paleontology. However, things never go according to plan, and he experienced things well beyond our imagination: volcanic eruptions, eight-foot-long millipedes, man-eating dinosaurs, terrifying saber-toothed cats, and above all, disaster. He did not sign up for that! What the heck, 5022 Greenville, South Carolina? It may sound like a suicide mission, but it's not. Dan's story is different. It's a chronicle of survival-one worth writing down to share with the world: a tale of love, friendship, horror, and letting go of the past (not to mention escaping all those insane, prehistoric animals who kept trying to turn him into the blue-plate special). Despite this, Dan's love for paleontology did not save him when he died. And all he could ask himself was, "Will I rise?" *** ⭐ Featured on @WattpadTimeTravel || The Clock is Ticking | Action/Adventure.⭐ Featured on @adventure || Space Adventures.⭐ Featured on @YA || Interstellar.⭐ Featured on @BecauseDinosaurs || Original Dino Stories.⭐ Featured on @TeenFiction || Between Worlds.⭐ Featured on @PrehistoricCreatures || They Evolved on Other Planets, Too!
