Junior Medical Officer Marsha Wilson set the tablet down next to the acting captain. As the
acting Chief Medical Officer she was part of a different chain of command from the rest of the crew.
Thinking about the Medical Section's operational orders she was glad. Thankfully she could still keep
those details a secret without alerting the crew.
The battle had been hard on her, when the first weapon salvo hit their ship a power surge arced to
the medical bay's isolated grid. Unfortunately one of the Nano Surgeons acted as a ground, and exploded.

officer instantly. Marsha was assigned to the graveyard-shift because of her
stubborn belief that a doctor has sovereign authority over her patients. When the shock of the first barrage
wore off Marsha threw her patient out of his cot, he was off duty with an STD that had managed to make

it onto the ship and turned to the other patients around her and shouting, “If you aren't dead or dieing
report to your duty station; you three clear this corpse and clean this station. Brancof, you're the ranking
officer, clear the waiting room for triage.”
By the third exchange she admitted to herself that they were fighting a losing battle. Whatever
was special about their experimental vessel it left it vulnerable to every form of conventional weaponry.
Eventually their boarding parties managed to disable the enemy vessels. The enemy responded by
boarding the Ghoul en masse. At some point the enemy vessels were destroyed.
The boarding battle took 3 days. Marsha and the other survivors ended up in the quarantine ward.
Core life support went down. With all the boarders and the active combat the oxygen was used up before
the problem was even noticed. It was a week before Marsha decided to see why the sounds of fighting had
stopped.

New Game (Reborn as a Reluctant Demon Lord, Book 1)
Portal Fantasy. Isekai. A daydream of nerds everywhere, leaving behind their boring world and living in a fantasy one that is full of adventure. A daydream that became a reality for me and 1000 other Comic-Con attendees. Except for me, it was more of a nightmare. Wanting nothing more than to find a way home, and also saddled with being the world's new [Demon Lord], I found myself trapped in a gamelike world and also somehow a part of the [Hero's] party. So join me as I tell the tale of my struggles. A tale of levels and skills. A tale of cagey game admins and bugs. And a tale of our party's grand quest to defeat... Well... Me. ---- What to expect from this book? 1. A main character who is not overpowered (and instead has to go from near-useless to strong. Not just weak to strong). If you are looking for an OP [Demon Lord] who laughs at his weakling enemies... This isn't for you. 2. A meandering pace as the characters aren't told how a lot of the world works and have to figure it out themselves. (And because there are a lot of characters. Whose idea was it to have a party of 9? I blame Jake) 3. A tragedy. A lot of things are not going to go well for the protagonist. (Not that everything is tragedy all the time. There is humor, laughter, friendship, and even a mascot monster character who got way more popular than I expected. But this is not a story that will leave you uplifted and inspired after every time you read it). ---- Release Schedule and publishing information: Book 1 is complete! I will include a link to book 2 once it has been started. Feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. ---- Other notes Book 1? Yes, this says Book 1. There are probably going to be 3 books. No, the plot as you can guess is not going to be tortured to drag out all the way to book 3. That would be ridiculous. If you can guess the plot of books 2 or 3 at any point before the last chapter of book 1, please use your clairvoyant powers for something more productive. TitusGM? This story is intentionally told under the username TitusGM because the idea is that he was the one actually writing everything down what happened after it all is over. I initially planned to answer everything in character on this site, but that just really didn't work out. If you want an in character response to a comment, simply prefix it with IC: (I also try to leave that as a reminder in the author's note after each new chapter) Cover art? Authors notes: Hey guys! This is the rewrite of A.C! If you are an original reader, I've tried to keep some of the things that made A.C unique. There will only be a handful of original characters, the rest will be unique. Anyways enjoy :)

8 325GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
