《The who that I really am》Blacksmith

After such a... An interesting day that was yesterday, I think I should go around town on my own affairs. Alone. Or I might just fall into temptation again in some random back alley and my vitality won't be able to handle all of that.

«I'm going around town on my own today. I'll be here by nighttime.» (Me)

-I say that but I have no idea what to do...-

«Alriiiiight.» (Noemi)

-I bet you're satisfied for at least a few hours now...-

I look at Zey who seems surprisingly normal.

«Those walls are really thick... No sound can go through. Thanks, brother.» (Laura)

«Y-you welcome...» (Me)

-So she also did it...-

I head out and start walking around town. Not knowing what I was looking for, I simply looked at everything...

After a while of searching, I found a certain, slightly hidden blacksmith shop. It was located on a hidden street that branched from the main one. It had a humble feel with nothing but ragged black banners on its outer walls but the weapons at its doorstep were very well done. Driven by curiosity, I go into the little blacksmith shop.

«Welcome, buddy! How may I help you?» (Dwarf)

At the sight of a dwarf, I prepare myself to fall through a portal but, nothing happens.

«I something wrong? You seem frightened...» (Dwarf)

«Y-you just remembered me of someone else, I'm sorry. I saw the weapons at the door and thought it would be good to check it out.» (Me)

«You like my weapons? Most people just come here because they are cheaper than a professional blacksmith and say it barely does the job.» (Dwarf blacksmith)

«So, you've been getting scammed all this time? I say those "Professional blacksmith" weapons and they were just shiny pieces of glass.»

«Seriously?!» (Dwarf blacksmith)

«Yeah but anyway, show me your best works and your most unique works.» (Me)

The dwarf stops scribbling what looks like new prices and goes through a little dwarf-sized door behind the counter. He then comes back with three swords, an axe, and a crossbow.

The swords were plain but sharp and were all enchanted. Each of them would value at least thousands of gold. But the one thing that caught my eyes was the axe and the crossbow. The axe was large but with a small axe head, more like a halbert. The interesting thing is that it could be split in half turning into a small axe and a sword. And then the crossbow...

«Can you explain what's that?» (Me)

The dwarf gets the crossbow and gets closer to a practice dummy made of straw that was nearby. He bends half of the crossbow downwards as a *clack* sound is heard, exposing a hole. He fills that hole with bolts and then closes it, sounding the *clack* again

«You open it and load it with a bunch of bolts and now...» (Dwarf blacksmith)

The dwarf aims at the dummy and shoots. Then quickly a little piece of metal that seems like a lever and shoots again. And repeat until no more bolts are being fired.

«Like this, you can rapid fire without needing to load a bold every time!» (Dwarf blacksmith)

-It's really a good idea to have such a thing but it gave me a good idea...-

«Can I ask something custom made?» (Me)

«Of course!» (Dwarf blacksmith)

«The idea is a giant shield that can be split in half and turned into large hand blades and then back to a shield.» (Me)

I make an example by punching the air and then joining my fists in front of my chest.

«I believe that with that technology you used on the crossbow, that it would be possible to have the two blades spin slightly to then join and become a shield. What do you think? Can you do it?» (Me)

«Hmmmm... I get the idea. It's possible without a doubt but it might take me a while to work the kinks on it. Is that alright with you?» (Dwarf blacksmith)

«Yes, it's alright.» (Me)

«Want anything else? Want any of these?» (Dwarf blacksmith)

He shows me the weapons again.

«I don't really have the money, to be honest... Each of those would be at least a few thousand golds right?» (Me)

He grabs the crossbow and one of the swords and hands them to me.

«Now that I know the value of these, you have paid for them, my friend!» (Dwarf blacksmith)

The next few minutes I just stood in place, dumbfounded wondering what the fuck was wrong with this dwarf...
