《The who that I really am》Poor village

The plan is simple. We'll head towards the neutral lands, where we'll be safe and from then we'll try to find. Sounds like I'll be overusing the appraisal now.
«Do you understand the situation now?» (Me)
«Yes but...» (Laura)
«Will you join us?» (Me)
«Yes!» (Laura)
With her answer and the seeming disappearance of her doubts, I put my mask back on.
-I don't know why but I don't really feel safe walking around without the mask...-
«Let's go into the city. We'll stay there for today and get a good night of sleep before we keep heading north.»
When we walk into the city, we finally realize that demons are just as bad if not worse than humans. Despair is king and poverty is queen. Disgust can be seen on everyone's faces, mainly on Noemi's.
«I had heard that only the main cities had good living conditions to motivate the warriors and soldiers but... this is just too much.» (Noemi)
I look around and notice that all the prices are higher than in the city I was previously. They get less money and have to pay more to survive.
-This is fucking ridiculous.-
«Let's find an inn. Next time we see a city like this, let's avoid it.» (Noemi)
It was sad but the most logical option. If we stayed too long in such cities, we would end up making a ruckus asking for better living conditions, maybe by force even.
«How much money do you have? I have some on me if needed.» (Me)
«Don't worry. I always carry a lot with me.» (Noemi)
We walk into an inn and the receptionist tries to force a smile. She manages it but it's obvious that she had quite a hard time.
«Welcome, travelers! How may I help you?» (receptionist)
«We would like two rooms for today, please.» (Noemi)
The receptionist looks at us and a cheeky smile appears on her lips. At that moment, it looked like her dark hair had regained all its color.
«Just try not to make too much noise at night alright? Otherwise, I might have to fine you.» (receptionist :3)
«Eek?!» (Laura)
I look back and find Laura hiding her mouth and blushing along with Gonzo who was looking away to hide it. When I look to Noemi, she is also blushing lightly and looking down at her toes.

«We-we haven't gone that far yet...» (Noemi)
Noemi looks up at me as if she had lost control of the situation and seeking for help. She gives the money to the receptionist and she gives us two keys with the numbers 7 and 8.
«Let's go, we still have some things to do before it's night time.» (Me)
We walk out while we still feel the cheeky smile on the back of our heads.
-Experienced ladies sure are scary...-
We walk to the market zone and find a bunch of merchants selling their merchandise. Laura walks around like a child, filled with curiosity.
«Would I not know that we were still in the demon country, I would think this was a normal human village. Their appearances are the same as ours.» (Laura)
«Most demons developed a human transformation for convenience. Some kinds of demons are just too big to live in a society. Having human forms like this makes it a lot easier for everyone.» (Noemi)
Suddenly we hear a lot of screams coming from behind us.
«Come here you fucking brat!» (???)
An old man is running after a young boy. The boy seems to be around 10 years in human years. The old man seems to be a merchant and it's running after the boy whose hands are filled with bread and a few fruits. In this case, the boy had the size advantage as he can go through people much easier than the old merchant. He passes by us and at that moment I turn to Noemi.
«Stay here. I'm going after the kid.» (Me)
«Don't just act as a hero of justice now!» (Noemi)
«I'm not!» (Me)
I jump on top of the roofs and start running along with the boy, who was running through the crowd in the market.
-I don't know if I should tell them I appraised the boy...-
When the boy passed us, I appraised him and found a very interesting thing. A skill called "Glass canon". This skill more than triples everything related to attack but more than triples the damage received as well. Not only that, he also possesses "High magic talent" and "High magic potential", which means his magic is top notch but his defense is absolute garbage. Even though his only magic seems to be water Lv 1 and air Lv 2, if we manage to get him on our side and nourish him into a great sorcerer, with just a good piece of armor or someone protecting him, he might become one of the best offensive mages to ever exist.

-This great opportunity has presented itself to me. Be it fate or whatever, I'll take it!-
The boy walks into an alley once he got far enough from the old merchant. I throw a chain down and gesture him to grab it. He does and I pull him up. The old merchant appears right after.
«Fucking brat escaped again. FUCK!» (Old merchant)
The old merchant walks away and the boy takes a deep breath.
«Thanks, sir.» (Boy)
«No problem but it's bad to be stealing like this. Why do you do it?»(Me)
«What would it be for? To survive! I have no other option...» (Boy)
Tears start forming in his eyes.
-You had quite a hard time huh... You really are thin.-
«Let me ask you a few things. Is that alright?» (Me)
«I-I guess so...» (Boy)
«Fist of all, what's your name?» (Me)
«Z-Zey» (Zey)
«Do you have any family or anyone close to you?» (Me)
«No... not anymore...» (Zey)
-I better not touch that subject too much.-
«Do you think this world is unfair?» (Me)
«Yes! Very unfair!» (Zey)
«And to finish it all off. Would you join me in a quest to change the world? You might not get fame or anything the like but you will one day be either a hero who saved the world or the villain that forced the world to save itself. What do you think?» (Me)
Zey's eyes shine like diamonds at the sound of my words.
-Looks like I hit the jackpot!-
«YES! but...» (Zey)
«What is it?» (Me)
«Food?» (Zey)
«Don't worry about food. We have plenty.» (Me)
«What would I do? I'm very weak and get hurt very easily. I have no good skills or stats and my magic is miserable...» (Zey)
«Nobody is born powerful. They have to practice a lot. You as well. I'll train you so you can be a great magician. Believe it or not, you have quite a lot of talent that would go to waste otherwise.» (Me)
His eyes shine once more as if all his previously crushed hopes and dreams had suddenly melded back together to form a new hope.
«I'll do it!» (Zey)
«That's the spirit! Now cover your face. We're going back to the market.»
Zey covers his head with the torn jacked that he's wearing and we go down. I jump and then he jumps so I can catch him. It would be bad if he broke his legs this soon. We meet with the rest of the group and finish shopping for supplies. Lots of food were bought and lots of random things were bought as well. Camping will be no problem for at least a few months now. We go back to the inn and ask for one more room for him, who had been sleeping in the streets for a while.
The rooms are simple with a single desk, a single drawer, and a single bed. It's only light source was a window that led to the street so as night fell, the room became dark, only illuminated by the silver shine of the moon. Everyone was already in their rooms and I was ready to sleep until...
«Pssst! Come here listen!» (Noemi)
Noemi was by my side, between me and the wall. She had her ear close to the wall and was blushing lightly. I approach the wall and what I head made me red as a tomato in seconds. I could hear the soft suppressed moaning of my sister. Her bed is probably next to the wall as well so if we listen closely, we can hear everything.
«So they are already at that stage...» (Me)
It's shouldn't surprise me but as an older brother, it still makes me feel weird. Noemi suddenly jumps in for a long kiss. Once we are separated again, she whispers into my ear.
«No need to envy them...» (Noemi)
After such words, I succumb to lust and start biting and suckling every part of her body. Hearing her moan softly didn't help me contain my lust. I fully strip her as she fully strips me as well. I then defile the sacred garden which is lightly died red of roses. From then on I barely remember anything. I can only remember the feeling of fusing together again and again and again until we were a mess of feelings and emotions again.
After a long time, we part and kiss again. It was something I could never forget.

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

The False Paladin
Divine Paladins, a title given to those who were blessed with the Lord's Favor, are the pillars of the kingdom of Calorin. However, a kingdom cannot simply be built from ideals of honor and duty. Sir Roel, the 58th Divine Paladin, knows that he's no hero. His sword is fake, his actual powers are middling, and his thoughts grow more cynical with every passing day. Upon receiving his next task, an order to assassinate a member of royalty, he wonders if the only thing he can do is bow his head and obey. Set in a medieval-era world in which brute strength is often subordinate to the schemes and machinations of the ruling class, this is a low fantasy story about a hero who struggles not only against monsters but also the idea that he's supposed to be the one fighting them. This fiction updates once to twice a week and each chapter is a minimum of 1000 words.
