《A New Light In Interria》Chapter 21: Prayers

The man was brought into a room with a solid iron door behind the shrine by two knights. Some time after the iron door slowly closed, a scream was heard from inside that room. I think I would be nauseous if I saw what was going on in that room. Maybe besides me, the other people in the cathedral looked rather emotionless at what was happening. Z, the world you brought me into is cruel.
-Minutes ago-
"My dearest father, we have brought you this heretic, who has done unspeakable act behind the mountain lately, for you to bring down justice from our gods." One of the knights said.
"What do you have to justify your actions?" The father said softly.
"Come closer." The man said.
"As you wish." The father said in a soft voice and approached slowly.
The two knights tightened their grip on the man's arm with each step the priest took.
"Lower your head." The man said that when he looked up, bruises appeared.
"{You dare….}" said the knights in unison.
"Knights." The father interrupted the knights.
The father lasts down. He spat in the face of the father to my surprise.
"I have nothing to defend. Because what we do is right." He flashed a wicked smile.
"{You.}" The angry knights take turns in kicking his stomach until he spits his blood out of his mouth.
The father calmly walked back to his original position and took out a handkerchief from his shirt. Suddenly, a bell starts to ring from the top of the sanctuary. I swear I didn't miss a freaking bell on top of the sanctuary.
"Knights, We must pause the judgment. It is time to pray." The father spoke quite calmly.
"{Yes, sir.}" The knights knelt on one knee.

The father begins to raise his necklace. The faithful gradually began to pray. I looked at Sophia, she didn't seem to care about this so I also watched silently.
"Oh great powers from above, here today are our prayers for all you have done for Interria today. The one who knows, here we are today to thank for the knowledge and magic that you have brought to this wonderful world. The one who keeps the circle, here we are today to thank for your maintenance of the Interria's delicate balance. The one who guild time and space, here we are today to thank you for every second, minute pass by, for every change that happens around us. The ultimate judge, here we are today to thank you for every punishment you bring down to the sinners. The garden's queen, here we are today to thank for every seed you plant and grow from the ground, for every sunlight shining down from the sun. The leader of the intelligentsia, here we are today to thank you for your guidance to a better understanding of the knowledge we had. The most glorious duelist, here we are today to thank for your teaching about honor and the way of a knight. Knous, Circlus, Cronus, Orderius, Lifeius, Developius, Honorius. Gods on high. Higher than the sky. May all of you hear our prayer. Stand by us in darkest times with your divine power and send the worthy to the land you promised us, the land of Horizon. Our faith protects us. Always."
The father put his necklace back in place. The knights stood up. But at that time, something happened to the man, around him began to appear strange marks. He gradually ascended, purple light appeared around him, and his eyes and mouth glowed. When the knights tried to attack the man, they were blocked by an invisible force field. Everyone in the temple gradually became quite surprised by what happened, except for Sophia. Then the man started chanting things like prayers.

"Oh great powers from below, here today are my prayer for all you will do to this Interria on that day. King of chaos, Breaker of chain, here today is my prayer to spread out your teaching about revolt, and on that day, we will crush down the natural order. Lord of destruction, Bringer of ash, here today is my prayer to guide ignorances to the righteous path, and on that day, we will turn doubters into ashes. Commender of death, Lady of slumber, here today is my prayer to help you back to your legitimate palace, and on that day, we will storm this world with the legion of souls. Master of mischief, Prince of wisdom, here today is my prayer to outsmart the aggressors with your strategies, and on that day, we will strike them at their weakest points. Chaosius, Destructius, Deathius, Foxius. Gods from below. Down to the core of this world. May all of you hear my prayer. I will become your sword on the day of revolting against the divine, on the day of Dusk. My faith overwhelms them. Always." After chanting, he fell.
The faithful began to look confused, the knights approached and captured him, the father was thinking about what was going on. That's when Sophia approached the father.

Core .001
This is a story of Shiro, a 12 year old girl who wished to adventure around the world. Only to end up in an untimely death. When she wakes up, she finds herself in what seems to be a new world, and her body has changed to that of a catkin. Using her knowledge from knowing literature of people in similar situations and adventuring, she tries to make a place for herself in this new world. Only to find out that reality is far crueler than one would imagine. Even with what one would call an OP unique skill and other OP advantages, she finds things quickly fall apart regardless how hard she tries. Thus she seeks more and more power to not only survive, but to protect what is important to her. Unbeknownst to her though, lies within her an ancient power time primordial. A power so vast it can bring anything to its knees. This ancient power can easily be unlocked with just one sentence, but this sentence shall never be spoken. Instead, Shiro will embark on a new path to gaining a new different kind of power as she moves forward in this new world. WARNING: The first few volumes will have tragedy, which will disappear at around Volume 5 or 6. From then on it will be just pure OP-ness and having fun. While I personally like OP characters and don’t like tragedies myself, I think it is unrealistic that a person goes to an unknown and everything just magically go their way via plot armor. So I wanted to build up a more realistic OP reincarnation novel where MC struggles through a new world regardless of their advantages due to gaps in knowledge (despite how prepared she was) and simply not having enough strength at the time. ------------------------------------------- This is my first poor attempt at a story. I read a lot of novels overall and was in the mood to see how well I can write one. Expect a lot of mistakes here and there as I am pretty new to writing. Releases should be about 2 times a week(changed due to chapter size pretty much doubling) unless stated otherwise or inbetween volumes. I will at least commit to finishing the volume I am on (Nothing worse than a story being cut off mid story). So give me your comments what you think. I don't mind if the comments are bad and etc. Just lay off the grammar nazi (My only weakness)

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
