《A New Light In Interria》Chapter 14: History [2]

Hmm, even in a parallel world, war is still something inevitable. I sighed as I thought about the drops of blood sacrificed on this continent.
"Unfortunately, truly unfortunate." I thought to myself.
I've also eaten all the meat on the table, I should bring the plate down to Amae and dispose of all the evidence when I've finished reading this book. Suddenly I heard a conversation in the bathroom.
"Listen, Mr. Hades is not a bad person." Veene was probably talking to herself.
I went to the bathroom and knocked on the door.
"Veene, is something wrong?"
"Oh no, Mr. Hades, I just…just…" Veene began faltering.
"If nothing happens, that's fine. But are you done yet?"
"Yes, I'm done, Mr. Hades."
Veene came out, wearing a white pajama after taking a shower. And then she slowly walked to the bed while thinking.
"Aren't you feeling tired, Mr. Hades? You can sleep on the bed if you want." Veene said in a rather worried voice.
"It's okay, you go to sleep first, I'll sleep later." I coaxed Veene.
Veene started to sleep, but she didn't seem to be comfortable with me being up at night like this. But maybe she'll get used to it because it's still a long time before I can get a good night's sleep. And where did I leave off, that's right the consequences of the Holy war.
*The Holy war has changed many things throughout the continent of Interria. The gods that helped the dragons were held accountable. Those gods were Rebelius became the god of chaos Chaosius, Decaius became the god of destruction Destructius, Foreverius became the god of death Deathius, and Politicius became the god of cunning Foxius. The Allies of Humanity disbanded. The Dragon species is said to be extinct. The death of the tree of life transformed the fertile land of Arania into a harsh ground for all hominoids. This is called the era of war.*

*50 years before the birth of the Glorian Empire:
- The non-human faction united under the name of Arania under the command of Demon Lord Morlock. Faced with the danger of being overtaken by the hominoid faction, humanity suddenly cast a high-level spell that summoned powerful heroes from another world.
-However, what did not expect was a large-scale military coup by the first hero to be summoned, Andrew Griffin after 10 years of living in Avalian.
- After the successful military coup, Andrew began an expedition to unify the kingdoms lasting 40 years throughout the human territory to form the Glorian empire. After the expedition, he named himself Griffin I, Emperor of Glorian. This is called the Glorian period.
* Year 0 to present imperial calendar:
After successfully conquering the human territory, Griffin I joined hands with the demon lord Morlock in the renewal of both nations. He quickly developed the economy, introduced science from another world, eradicated poverty, reduced class distinctions in society,... But there was one thing that he and Morlock still hadn't achieved: create a good relationship between humanity and hominoids. That is what he and Morlock regret most until the last moments of their lives. However, if only counting his achievements in human territory, it is more than enough for the people of Glorian to believe and love him.
-However, on the day of his son Griffin II's coronation as emperor in the 30th year of the imperial calendar, he was assassinated in front of the entire population by a hominoid assassin. Griffin II then fell into an unrelenting rage combined with hatred for the hominoid that led him to initiate the Great Holy War.
The great war lasted for 10 years. The human side summoned heroes to speed up the battle. Hominoid did their best to minimize casualties and property, negotiate on the political front, and defend and counterattack on the military front. However, due to the superiority of the heroes, the demon lord Morlock had to directly negotiate with Griffin II to end the intensification of the war. Morlock gave up his own life to stop the destruction of his people's homes, before that he assigned the Beast King Leonidas (his right hand) to become the successor to the demon lord title. Morlock's body was brought back to Arania's capital, Morlock (changed after the demon king's death) in memory of the demon king's devotion to his people.*

Finally done. I closed the book. Veene seemed to be asleep, so I quietly went downstairs with the plate and the evidence. Now, what should I do with all this evidence ?.

What if you can build a town that moves faster than the speed of light? Silas Creedy, a retired Olympic Fencer in his late twenties, has befallen hard times in a crashing economy caused by dwindling rare minerals on Earth and Helium-3 on the lunar surface. He works as a manual laborer for the Space Force, accepting a measly pay while maintaining a strong physique. Silas accepts, but on an Earth-like planet he comes across a seemingly unmanned crashed spaceship that has a remarkably similar aesthetic to his exosuit. Silas soon finds himself in the midst of a war between two Kardashev type-3 civilizations vying for dominance over the Milky Way. With his new AI companion, Tracey, Silas decides to go on the run to keep Earth’s location secret.
