《Forsaken By The Light》Chapter 1

The main square of City of Light was fully crowded, all the angels awaited the outcome of the trial. More than a millennium ago, a corrupted angel was captured. The Kingdom of Heaven enjoyed the most intense peace, won with much blood and fire in the last Holy War.
A corrupted angel was a major cause for concern in heaven, usually meant that the power of the deity had weakened. Divine power was a coercive force that kept smaller entities, such as angels, prophets and deacons, in line with the Lord's will. And the weakening of that power meant that these creatures without free will could rebel. Angels in particular were beings created by the Lord's light and will. They were the will of the deity represented in many ways. Having a corrupted angel was synonymous with the weakening or death of the divinity. Although an entity has a certain level of sensitivity, in general, the behavior shown is always the will of the divinity it serves. Furthermore, a corrupted angel can infect a multitude of other angels and subvert them at will.
Suddenly, the environment was completely silent, the sky was dyed red. Which demonstrated that the outcome of the sentence would be revealed.
— It was decreed that the angel Augustus should be subjected to [Purge]. Augustus was accused of the crimes of treason, conspiracy and mutiny against the superior angels and, consequently, against the King of kings, our Lord. Judged by the Arcana court, he was unanimously sentenced to [Purge]. The phrase must be applied by the angel Uriel. — said the divine messenger.
The voice that uttered the phrase was similar to the loudest thunder of the most terrible storm. And then the panic started in the City of Light ... Angels screamed in complete despair and anguish, others cried and mutilated themselves. The Lord was furious, and that fury deteriorated and the existence of all present. Except for one...
Augusto was in complete darkness, it was cold, I couldn't breathe or hear. Its limbs and wings were impaled by black spears like obsidian. It was not possible to know where he was nailed, his sense of space was compromised. His wounds spewed a gray, viscous liquid. The angel had long black hair that went to his waist, and his eyes were gray, as if they had lost the light that he once had, his wings were gray and his body was dry, as if he was completely dehydrated.

— Was all this really necessary? Six spears from the Abyss, a seal of light and still imprisoned me in the Pit of Lamentations. Angels really know how to be exaggerated — thought Augusto.
— My sentence should not take long, I feel that I am getting closer and closer to losing all the light that was in me. When this happens it will be the end ..., but they will make a show before it happens. They need to use me as an example to discourage future traitors. What a joke! The only thing I looked for was freedom! Freedom to take my decisions without being consumed by the most terrible guilt for going against divine will. If even the dirtiest, smallest and most sinful of humans has this right, why shouldn't I, who spent more than 1500 years serving the Light?
— I fought a Holy War! I killed thousands of traitors, burned countless wizarding heretics and servants of other deities. All I wanted was to burn the Lord's enemies with the highest magic of Light. To be the sword that represents the King's will.— I was betrayed, damn Archangels! They are like greedy locusts! They would never allow a lesser angel like me, who climbed the celestial ranks with effort and blood to gain access to ancient magic. They conspired against me, and took advantage that the Lord is old and weak.
— HAHAHAHA, damn you! They underestimated me in the worst possible way. Death will be incredibly sweet and victorious! They will submit me to [Purge] amid a legion of angels in the City of Light, where the largest entities of light reside. And they will all witness this minor angel being baptized by the highest spell that an archangel can cast.
— I won from the beginning! Death will only be a setback. My body will feel the absolute power of Heaven and I will be the first minor angel to be baptized by [Purge]. Although I have not been given the privilege of entering the Sanctuary and reading the Tomes of Light, my flesh will witness the true power I will know. — said Augusto while laughing in a compulsive way.

Suddenly, a loud crash was heard, and the prisoner came to his senses. In front of you, a great being of light appeared. He seemed to be around 4 meters, had 4 pairs of wings, and it was not possible to say what his characteristics were because he shone brightly, as if to say that no one was worthy of knowing what he really was like.
— Hello, poor child, your sentence has been set. You will be taken to the great square of the City of Light, and there you will be executed by [Purge], who will be conjured by me, the angel Uriel. — said Uriel— To think that they would soon send the great son of fire and light, whom I served during the Holy War. Said Augusto with great reverence.
— Let's not delay then! Said Uriel, and then he touched Augusto's face and the two disappeared from the Pit of Lamentations.
In the middle of the large square, a large magic circle was drawn, with a diameter of about 50 meters. [Purge] had been conjured for over two thousand years. The vast majority of convictions were made only with [Banishment]. The reason was because it was considered sufficient punishment just to banish and expel an angel from Heaven. Angels were kept by divine strength, and this type of energy was found in great quantities in the heavens, and in scarce quantities in churches or sacred places, in the world of humans. The [Purge] disintegrated and the soul and the flesh, burning to the last particle of the being. However, it could only be conjured by a larger, ancient angel and would still cost half of all the divine energy accumulated by the entity that conjured the magic. It was an absolute spell used in ancient times to destroy great demons and abyssal creatures.
In the middle of the great magic circle, two angels appeared, one radiating the purest light and fire, while the other was in a deplorable state and it seemed that his life was draining away.
— Look, it's Grand General Uriel and Augusto, the Traitor! — the angels exclaimed in an apprehensive tone.
Without further ado, Uriel removed the spears from Augusto's body and crushed them with his hands as if they were made of the most fragile material imaginable. And then he went on and said:
— I, Uriel, Archangel of the Order of Fire and Light, representative of the Lord's will, come to deliver to you, Augustus, the punishment for your crimes and transgressions. You will be bathed in light and you will perish.
Augusto, who was kneeling and visibly weakened to speak, raised his face and suddenly the brightness of his eyes returned, but it was not filled with light, but with a crimson red. He looked at the Archangel and said:
— I, Augusto, minor angel of the Order of Fire of Light, humbly receive this punishment. For the crimes of seeking freedom and ancient knowledge. For wanting to let go of the chains of slavery and for wanting to find my purpose and control my destiny.
Then he raised his hands and formed tweezers with his fingers, and as if he had recovered the strength he had once had, removed both eyes.
— I must not see! My flesh will witness the ancient light and you will all envy me! For today I stop being a slave and become a free creature baptized by light! HAHAHAHA !! — said Augusto in complete mania
Then he saw nothing else and was consumed by the light.

Hardened by the cruelties of life, Vidyut embraces the dark art of Tantra, for which he is both rejected and coveted by the people of the five kingdoms. Meanwhile, the kingdom of RakhtaPrastha is facing political turmoil and rival kingdoms, while the animosity between God King Arya and Yaman/Surya's supporter, Goddess Dimuka, is spilling into the human world. Princes, Spells, Gods, Spirits, Heaven, Mythical creatures, Wars, and Reincarnation, and so much more. It is based on Indian mythology, specifically Hindu mythology. But it is an original fantasy and focus is character arcs. It has BL/Gay content. Most Surya-Vidyut interactions are in the chapters marked Surya or Vidyut. Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).

Magikind [Original]
The third millennia, a time of change and evolution. An era, where people, through countless generations, have evolved strange powers and abilities. Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some refused to change or adapt. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin, will herald a new era for all Magikind. A story of how man could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. Disclaimer: Chapters will be edited once the first volume is done. Bear the beginning for the time being, and hopefully you can see my writing improving over time (I've learnt a lot on how to write because of this (though I'm still not perfect :P)) Proud Member of Writers to the End, WriTE The link to the pledged fictions PS. If you find the 'notes' too boring or too info-dumpy, feel free to skip them and just read the main chapters. They're there for the reader to understand Gin's world (written in the perspective of Gin). But later on, we can see some interactions between the main characters and the occasional references to his past in the notes, so it has its purpose.
