《Lucky SP》Chapter 7 - Bodie

"You made it. Where is Andy?" She nodded at Lucky and then questioned Marian about Andy. He snorted and ran past her to the dumpster near by picking up a piece of iron railing and bent it into a broken crowbar. Lucky answered for him. "He didn't make it." He shook his head. Tonya looked to 77 and she tossed a shiv to Lucky. He caught it and turned to face the dorm door. About 30 seconds later the metal door had sounds of the thing thumping against it . "Hungryyy" it spoke muffled behind the door. THUMP BANG BANG Then it went quiet for a few seconds. "Maybe it's weakness is dorm doors" Zero joked. Then a transparent image of the creature phased through the door slowly. It was about the size of a man's forearm now. "Gaaahhh" Marian threw his crowbar and hit the creature perfectly, but the creature just ignored the attack. Just when everyone felt like there was no hope. A small crossbow bolt swirled around in a swirl -like pattern surrounded by a red-black aura and pierced through the creatures left leg. "Huurts... Hungry... " The creature started to crazily bounce around at abnormally high speeds as more crossbow bolts swirled in from the side. "Get away little kids. This thing can't be killed with normal weapons." A man wearing a belt of small crossbows and a green headband around his neck/collar. He looked to be in his mid twenties and his hair was short. He wore tactical geared pants and a tank top. He appeared about 20 feet away without any prior signs he was there. They would have not noticed the man if he didn't speak. "Huurts HURTSSS" the creature began bouncing even more frantically as 2 more bolts covered in red-black aura pierced through its sides and. "Tsk, this thing isn't Rank D. It's a Rank C. I need to get a bit serious." the mans gaze hardened. "Meta-force Technique: Display Direction" The man waved his hand and muttered. His hand was surrounded by the red-black aura and touched each of the small hand crossbows hanging along his belt. The crossbows hummed and floated up behind the man in a semi circle and fired 3 shots each from the 12 crossbows. Each bolt covered in red-black aura swirled and moved at unpredictable patterns. *Swish*Swish*Swish The bolts seemed to predict every possible move of the creature and closed in on it. *Tsssssssss*Tsssssssss*Tsssssssss*Tsssssssss 4 bolts penetrated different sides of the creature as it deflated like a balloon. "Huuunn...ggrr..y" It dissolved into red-black particles. The crossbows floated back down onto the man's belt. He walked passed the students and watched as the creature dissipated. "How did this thing get so strong so quickly?" the man muttered to himself. "What was that thing?" Zero crouched down curiously and poked the red-black particles. The man's gaze landed on Zero, but then turned to look over each of the students. "It.. was a spiritual entity, called a Bodie. And it was a rather rare, strong one, too." the man once again swept his gaze over the students. All of them didn't avert their gaze from him, it looked as if the look of fear had left their eyes. Now there was only a thirst for answers. The man laughed lightly. His voice was raspy, but it was pleasing to hear. He snapped his fingers and red-black energy surrounded his hand. He watched their reactions. Each student's eyes constricted slightly. They could all see and sense his meta-force. He extinguished the energy. "Alright, you passed my test. It seems all of you could see the Bodie right?" Each of them nodded. Marian spoke up "Why can't some people see those fucking things?" The mans eyebrows rose. 'This kids has quite the mouth.' "Only certain people can see them." he answered. "I don't have much time. We'll talk tomorrow at your school." the man turned and quickly fled the scene. Lucky met the rest's gazes and helplessly sighed. The sound of police sirens sounded as they approached Montgomery High. ... The police collected each of the students statements and collected the bodies of 22 and Andy within the dorm. The police were stumped in trying to figure out what exactly happened to cause the drill like holes in the wooden doors and bodies. The police force detectives determined this to be some kind of supernatural power and handed it over to a special Alpha-gene task-force for further investigation. The students were allowed to temporarily stay in a motel for the next few days, while the scene was recorded and things were cleaned up by the school. ... A red-black disk appeared on the Montgomery High dorm's roof. The surface rippled like calm water. A humanoid creature with red skin and two white horns moved through the disk, stepping through it like a portal. The disk disappeared behind him as he left it. The creature had bat like dark-red wings on his back. He was a tall 2 meter tall humanoid demon-looking creature. He flapped his wings and hovered over the investigation team, his face held an amused expression and distain was clear in its red eyes. None of the people could sense him. Only one sickly man had any kind of reaction to his presence. The sickly man shivered in fear and felt uncomfortable. "Pathetic" The creature lost interest as none of the humans noticed him. He turned his head away and went to a random wall and spoke in his low voice. "Meta-force technique: Opposing Archways" Zzzzztt Another red-black portal-disk formed on the chosen brick wall. The creature passed through it before the disk disappeared. ... Lucky, Marian, Zero, Tonya, and 77 all gathered together the next morning and walked to Montgomery High campus. They had bee put in the same motel and had grown a bit closer after the strange situation which happened last night. They were silent as they walked, thinking about the situation. The horrifying creature which only a few people could see. Lucky stared at the sidewalk under his feet. He had too many questions. What was that thing? Why was he able to see it? How should he deal with it if he meets one in the future? Everyone was thinking similar things as they arrived on campus. Other students from different classes also were arriving. A few stares were directed their way, but they ignored them. They climbed the stairs to special orphan recovery classroom 309. Each of them all sat down quietly. 77 looked at the empty seat on the opposite side of Tonya and her eyes flashed with grief. Marian also seemed to be affected. His buddy Andy's seat next to him was now empty. He cursed at nobody in particular. "Fuck, today is shit" The buzzer rang for classes to start. Mrs. Beck did not enter the classroom as usual, instead. The crossbow man from yesterday appeared in casual clothes and a backpack behind him. "Hello, Kids. Mrs. Beck called in sick today. I've been recommended as your substitute teacher today."

The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.
