Lucky, made his way down to the Scholars Orphanage for Needy Children at downtown Chicago. This was a well established Orphanage for Victims for Child Trafficking. It is highly supported through charity of the world's elite. Lucky entered the front entrance. Nearby people gave way for this smelly homeless looking kid with tattoo marks on his face and oversized jeans. He sat down into a waiting chair. He cleaned the dirt from under his nails as he waited. "Excuse me." A middle aged woman tapped his shoulder from behind. "Hmm?" Lucky looked around. The woman's nose twitched slightly. "Young man, how may I help you?" Lucky met her eyes. "Hello ma'am, I need help getting myself settled with identity documents." The woman looked him over. "I will need to do an age test. By federal law, we can only help those 18 years or younger through the identity documents program. And I will need to take your statement and record on why you need these documents as well as a small summary of your circumstances. " Lucky waved his hand in agreement. "Fine." The woman came forward and grabbed Lucky's chin. She held his mouth open and swabbed the inside of his teeth with a small device. It let out a high pitched beep and she withdrew it. Lucky was a little annoyed at how roughly she had treated his face. The woman didn't seem to care about his opinion on the matter. She acted as if she had done this a thousand times a day. She read over the device and nodded her head. "Your teeth are aged exactly 18 years. Did you turn 18 today? " Lucky was stunned. 'I.. am I really 18 years old?' "Y-yes" he replied a little dazed. The woman eyed him, her gaze containing pity and sympathy. She reached out her hand. "Don't worry young man, I have a son about your age. He attends school at Montgomery High. Have you gone to school before?" "No, I don't think so. I can't remember." Lucky answered. The woman's pity intensified in her gaze. 'Poor boy. He must have been trafficked since a young age. Those scum, they always number their victims. Was he abducted as a child and couldn't attend school? Damn!' The woman decided. She would make sure this young man would get a chance to get an education and set up a student identity for him. Her gaze softened. "Alright, please fill out these forms for me." She pushed a small paper clipped bundle into his hands. "What's your name?" She asked. Lucky looked at the documents. "My name is Lucky." The woman blinked. "You are... Your name is Lucky?" Lucky looked up and smiled slightly "Yes, Lucky S.P." "Lucky S.P.? What does the S.P. stand for?" she asked curiously. Lucky shook his head and shrugged avoiding the question. He couldn't say it was like a tracking number for corpses, right? "My name is Mrs. Jane. Don't worry Lucky, I'll make sure things get squared away for you and have you all set for your future." Jane smiled a motherly smile. Lucky nodded his head. 'Mrs. Jane was very kind and motherly woman.' 20 mins passed quickly. Lucky was taking pictures for his identification and sorting everything. Finally, the documents were all settled. Mrs. Jane bound the documents together with a small paper clip and walked into a back office. A photo copier hum sounded from the room. Mrs. Jane told Lucky he was free to use the facilities here. He should clean himself up a bit. He took her advice and spent the next 30 mins cleaning himself. He took a warm shower, received a pair of donated clothing, and 300$ spending money from the charity. Lucky was feeling really content. He ate some snacks, received some money, and processed his new identity. Mrs. Jane walked out of the office and handed Lucky his identity documents. "Alright, Mr. Lucky. I sorted everything out for you. " She passed a passport ID with Lucky's profile picture. "Also, I went ahead and applied to send you to the same High School which my son is attending. You are qualified as a part of the Orphan Recovery Program which was put forth by Burst Industries donations." She smiled warmly. Lucky was curious. "Is there such a good thing? I already feel very content with a warm shower and the donation money. You didn't have to do this." Mrs. Jane explained "Lucky, evil people have been abducting orphans since the end of World War 2 hoping to do nasty things with them. And many philanthropists specifically founded charities and initiatives exactly like this one to help people like you, who manage to get out and to have a new hope. Your living expenses will be taken care of as long as you maintain a GPA of 3.0 or more in the program." Lucky's eyes widened. 'Th-this..' "Thank you! This helps me a lot." Lucky felt touched. 'There are good people in this world.' He grabbed the documents and school registration documents, then turned and left the building. He walked towards Montgomery High to hand over his transfer documents as a new student taking part of the recovery program. ... Lucky called a cab and arrived at Montgomery High in only and hour. He finished his registration at the registration office and was assigned a dorm on campus of the high school and handed the key. He unlocked his new dorm room before entering and closing the door. He laid out on his bed tiredly and shut his eyes. The school had on campus dorms for students in the Recovery Program like himself. It seems those philanthropists are very serious about this program. He got ready for bed and turned off the light before going to sleep.
