Chapter 1 ~ Point Awakening

My name is Nishihara Yoshiyuki.

I'm currently 13 years old, 1st year in junior high.

My mom died 2 years ago in an accident. But, the culprit vanishes as nothing happens. We try to search for clues. But, we can't find any trace of the car in question. My Mom died without any justice.

I wanna end up my life 2 years ago. But-

"Yukiiiiiiii!" A really loud voice came from the door.

'She's here again.' *sigh*

"What do you need now?"

"Hey! Why you're still not wearing your school uniform?" She's mad again.

"Ok, ok, I will going to change..*sigh*"

By the way, Her name is Yoshino Masumi. She is my childhood friend, that my mom mentions protecting her before she died. She's the reason why I continue to live my life, even I have no more family to go to. She's the one who takes care of me for the past 2 years.

"Hey! Why you still taking too much time!" She's really mad now.

I reply immediately "I'm going to make my lunch."

*she entered the house* "Hmph!" *pouted* "You don't need to do that. I already made your Obento."

"What's with that smug face, Huh?" I close my face to her and whisper in her ears. "You like me huh!" While trying to conceal my smile.

"W-what did you say!?" *blush* "I didn't make it because of you!" Avoiding my eyes, "My mom just told me to make your lunch!.... B-Baka!" Pouted once again.

'What's with the tsundere mode?' I smile, expressing my gratitude to her.

"C'mon, we will be late for the school bus. Today we're going on a school trip."

"Ok, ok, I'm coming..."

These past 2 years...I can control my ability, make my sword style. Because I need to protect this girl in the future. She may be brave outside. But, she's a scaredy-cat inside.

We arrived at the school bus.

"Hey, president Masumi. Good morning, your pretty as ever." one of our classmate. who's being a bully to me greet Yoshino.

Well, I'm a loner. I can't deny that. And walking with Yoshino, always attract those eyes of all the student. I can't blame them, Yoshino is the most beautiful and no.1 student in our school. I only have the looks and the brain, but my communication level is below -1, which's why I never able to make a friend.

"President, why you're walking with garbage again?" *everyone's laugh*

There glare that show's how they hate and despise me.

"Hey! MAT-SU-RA-GI-KUN?. Did I permit you to use my given name? And bullying in the morning, you wanna get reported?"

Everyone remained silent.

She always fights for me, Even it ruined her reputation. That's why I fell in love with her.

"Yoshino, I'm ok. You don't need to protect me" put up a fake smile.

"Yuki, didn't I told you that you must call me on my given name?" disappointed.

"About that, it's e-embarassing. We're like standing on a different world."

She looked away from me.

'Did I make her mad again?'

After a few hours, we came to stop on a villa and eat our lunch.

Faith became unfaired, as we're going to leave. A group of men fully arm raided the villa and taking us hostage.

"Please, spare us"

"Don't kill me"

Everyone's frightened even Yoshino, She's shivering and covering her ears while looking down on the ground.

"Yu-Yuki-kun, we will be a-alright, right?" her voice is shaking so bad.

"Don't worry, I'm going to protect you no matter what happens, Ok!" Putting up a brave reaction to motivate her, Even I didn't know what to do.

I hug her tight and she calmed down a little bit.

A man spoke at our front, handling an M14 rifle.

"Ladies, and gentlemen...I know that everyone knows what is there situation is. Meh, I'm Right?"

*silence*

As no one answers, everyone is frightened, when the man suddenly shot someone.

*Bang*

"I said, IF I'M RIGHT!?"

"iyaaaaaaaa!"

"Ahhhhh"

"yes! You're right!"

Shooting down one of our classmates.

Some of them scream, and some of them respond.

"I call the president to gave me "500Billion Yen" exchange for your life's. Every hour that they didn't bring the money. One of the students in this whole class will get shot down"

They started to cry, even Yoshino that seems to be always brave, making tears and sobbing silently.

I motivated her once again. But, she didn't calm down anymore.

"Yuki, we will d-die here" *sob* *sob*

4 of our classmates try to escape and get shot, and 5 died because the hour passed.

Look's like the government abandons us, who's fool going to use 500 billion for just a mere student like us.

'We're doomed at this point. Tsk isn't there anything I can do.' biting my nail.

I feel a chill on my spine. One of the criminals pointed the gun at Yoshino. I looked at the man while holding Yoshino tightly.

"Hey!, kiddo let go of her" his voice is so arrogant that I want to punch him so bad.

"What if I don't wanna!?" I reply arrogantly to him.

My classmate stares at me. Like they are so surprised.

"Boss!, this little brat didn't want to let the beautiful girl there."

The boss comes near us... My body won't move even I want to attack.

"Hey, kiddo do you have a death wish?" Arrogantly asked.

"Well, I don't have one. Is that necessary?" I try to provoke the boss to make him let his guard down.

"HAHAHAHAHA," he laughs intensely. "Your amusing little kid."

Yoshino whispers to me; "please don't g-give m-me to them."

"I promised, I will not! As long as I'm standing beside you."

*Bang!*

My mind goes blank, as I fell on the floor. Gritting my teeth. Holding the bullet shot from my right shoulder.

'This is so much pain,' i try to remain calm, 'I never felt such immense pain in my life. This is enough to make me give up.'

My hearing slowly came back, and I hear Yoshino's voice, crying for help, and calling out my name.

"Yuki, don't die. Please!" groaning loudly

"Hey, lift that kid and make him looked this way."

They grabbed my hands and hold my face. The bastard criminal tears off her uniform on the belly part and lick her face.

"Such youth! Subarashi!!!. HAHAHAHA" while smirking.

"You bastard!, Get that filthy hand of yours to my Yoshino!. I will kill you" Desperately provoking them to leave Yoshino.

'I will go full fill my promise to my mom, and Yoshino even I exchange my life. I will not let them humiliated you'

I calculated everything, From my surroundings down to their movements.

'If I kick one of these bastards. I can free myself. But, if I messed up even one's I'm dead.'

I jump and kick the face of the man.

*pow*

I immediately run to the boss and I kick his face.

Stealing the pistol, getting Yoshino, and getting the higher ground.

"Don't you dare to move BASTARD! I will shoot your head if you dare"

"Hey! Hey! Kiddo...I will let you guys escaped if you give me the girl, and let me have fun with her." Smirking and arrogantly talking.

"No one will believe your lies!"

I'm concerned about Yoshino's mental state.

"Yoshino, don't worry I have you now.." I looked at her, and she didn't stop shaking.

I didn't know, that stupid bully MATSURAGI hit me with a metal bat on my head, losing my high ground, and getting our situation tilted again.

My head bleeds, as my vision became blurred.

"Dammed you, bastard! You traitor!." 'I despised you. You bullsh*t"

"FU FU FU FU, Deserves you right NISHIHARA!" He's laughing like a villain now, "you know that I like Masumi, but she's always with you. If I can't have her, then no one will between us." *laughing so bad,* "such a waste.....your face is really good tho. But, this is the end for you."

"Matsuragi, I will never be going to forgive you!" Yoshino shouted to matsuragi.

"I don't need you to forgive me, you will die anyway"

"And so you little brat"

"Bang"

His head blows off.

'That matsuragi bastard......

"Now, Now, little brat," he intensely twists the point of the gun on my wound.

"ArghhhhhhHhhhh!*

"Please, don't hurt Yuki anymore! I will let you use me. Just don't kill Yuki!"

"See little brat, even your girlfriend choose me!" *laugh*

As I saw Yoshino's face. It's the total opposite of what she stated.

'I can't let her suffer!.'

I try to stand up.

*Bang*

"NOOOO!" Yoshino's begging those bastards to spare me.

My left hand got shot.

"Bastards, I will not let y-you have a wa-"

*Bang*

"Pl-*sob*Please. Don't kill him!"

My left shoulder got shot next.

"Oi, Oi, you are going to die kiddo if you try to fight back now."*laugh*

'I feel how useless I am, but I will not let her ended up hurting herself'

I try to stand up again.

*Bang*

"Noooo!. Please!"

Again.

*Bang*

"YUKI STOP! DON'T DIE ON ME"

Stand up Again.

*Bang*

My 2 legged and hands are both unable to move. My tears fell from my eyes.

"Please, YUKI STOP! just let me.. save your self" she's desperate in her words.

"Yoshino, your fac-face didn't tell the same thi-"

*Bang*

"NOOOOOO! Please do it for me! That's my wish!"

I focused my healing regeneration on my left feet and arm.

I stand up quickly and when I almost caught the gun on the enemy's hand. The faith didn't favor me. I got shot exactly on my heart.

All of our classmates were startled.

The world became more slowly than what my ability can hold.

'I'm such a useless man, a useless friend. I didn't full fill my promise. In the end, I end up dying before saving her, Why? why fate is so unfair!?'

The hatred dwelling inside me is the same as when my mom died.

As I open my eyes, my surroundings became dark, and little light like stars lighten up the room.

'Why I'm floating?'

"Where am I?"

I saw many planets with no colors and it all look's like a Saturn. One of the planets lit up bright red.

"Goshujin-sama" A cute voiced called out from a faraway

'Where? I swear I hear a girl's voice'

"Goshujin-sama"

'Where did that come from?'

I looked at the planet that lit up red, and afterward, A girl with red hair and red clothes came out.

"What!...what is that?"

"Goshujin-sama, let me introduced myself. I'm the god of the fire element, living within your very soul" her lullaby voice makes me lazy and wanted to sleep.

"What do you mean?"

"I will give you the authority of using my abilities to your hurt's content." She suddenly became serious.

"I didn't get it. I'm already dead, didn't you see?" I'm mad because I wasn't able to save Yoshino.

"Look above you"

*looks up*

'W-what is that?' I'm shocked at what I saw!.

It's a giant black crystal with silver plating and diamonds spinning around on it.

"Young lad." an old man voice

"M-me"

"Yes! You are the chosen one, it's bad news that you died at a very young age. But-"

"But?" I asked with a mystified expression on my face.

"You wanted to at least save the young lady?"

It's like he can read my mind, knowing my biggest regret.

Without thinking I answer it immediately "YES!, can I do something, at least just to save her?"

"I'm the god of all elements, the god of spirits, the one who lends you the ability to calculate time. I will give you 10 more minute's to save the young lady you love." He talked like a general.

"But I can't do anything, I'm weak!". I think that this only a false hope.

"Young lad, the goddess of the fire element approved you as her master, you can control fire at will."

'But I need to avoid killing anyone, that's my mother's word's, I can't disobey it.'

"If your thinking about taking lives, no need to be scared young lad. As the moment you are born, your mother conceals all the elements and leaves the goddess of the phantom element, to make sure that the time you able to AWAKEN your ability, it will not make you tempted to kill a human. Killing human beings, even they disobeyed the rule of God. Killing a human entity is still sin in the eye of the lord.

"What's with that phantom goddess?"

The old man answers my question swiftly.

"The phantom goddess choose the energy, than the life force of a human, he' the forbidden element of gods, making all element useless and can't take lives. The goddess of phantom swears to not ever killed a human in this world and just take the energy that the human body can replenish after a day of sleep. And yes, your ability can't kill anyone. But making them sleep for 1 dah is enough for you to save the young lady. Don' worry about time, the time stopped on worlds while were discussing it."

I finally learned where my ability came from.

And some information. Such a waste...I will be able to use this for 10 minutes.

"You have 10 minutes to live on earth, your energy will be taken every minute."

"I've been prepared for any consequences, as long as I'm able to protect YOSHINO."

She became my second life in this world of pain. Even if I die, I feel the satisfaction, as long as you're the one who chooses your death.

"Wait for me, I will save you. No matter what!"
