Angel swung his sword to kill the last Blood-Eyed Rabbit before him. Mayor Bernard stood behind him while his hands kept hugging Cley and Claire who stared at him admiringly.
He sheathed his sword and turned his gaze to them.
"It's safe now."
Cley and Claire ran to him while their eyes stucked to the corpses of monsters that scattered around them.
"Sir, your should teach me how to fight like that." said Cley in excitement.
"Sir, you are so great to be able defeating those monsters." said Claire while clinging to his hand.
He looked at them with puzzled expression.
"Blood-Eyed Rabbit is a common monster. They almost everywhere, an adult should be can defeat them easily as long they keep their distance from its mouth." he explained.
Mayor Bernard walked to him and smiled.
"This is their first time going outside the city after eight years. I hope you can pardon their behaviour."
"Oh... I didn't know it's their first time." He looked at Cley and Claire who still stared the monster corpses.
"They should be around ten years old, it's means they never know what outside the city looks like."
"We must keep moving, the garden should be not far from here." Mayor Bernard continued.
After a short walk, they arrived at a garden with a 'monster barrier' formation in the middle of it, this barrier keep the garden safe from monsters around it. They walked into the garden, beautiful flowers, shady tree with fruits neatly arranged, formed a beautiful formation. Some small water fountain was seen in the corner of the garden with some bench on each side.
"It's clearly, the late king built this place is not only for the prince memorial... but also as a place for travelers to rest."

He turned his gaze to Cley and Claire who looked excited running around in the garden as soon they arrived, while Mayor Bernard looks hassled looking after them. He smiled as his mind began to drifted away remembered his past when he played around with Ilex and Ophelia at Golden Light Castle's garden.
"If that incident never happened... If father was still alive... And my hair color never changed, I wonder if we will fall apart like this..."
He sighed as he threw away his impossible thoughts and looked around him. A man statue holding a small child caught his attention, he walked closer to observe the statue more detail. He looked to the statue before him, the statue wore prince Euphorion's uniform, had a warm face with a smile on his lips, his hair neatly combed back like Ilex and had the same sharp eyes like him. He wiped the writing that covered in dirt under the statue.
To our beloved son, brother, friend, prince.
Prince Lucian Crimson Moonfall.
He turned his gaze back to the statue.
"Sir Chay is right... Except our eyes, we completely different." then he shifted his gaze to the boy statue that holding the prince's hand. Instantly, his eyes went wide open, his heart pounding fast. He observed the boy statue more detail, but the more he looked at it the more convinced he was. The boy statue is him when he was seven years old.
"But why..."
He swept his gaze around the garden searching for Mayor Bernard and found him chasing the kids to the corner of the garden.
"Mayor Bernard, who is this boy's statue?"
Mayor Bernard stopped his steps and turned his gaze to him
"I don't know either... But the late king said he appeared in his vision at Prince Lucian funeral ceremony." he said breathlessly.

"Vision?" he said with puzzled expression.
"Yes, the late king of Euphorion, King Eiron Magus Moonfall is well known as elemental spirit master but his actual power is foresee the future. He is a prophet... that's why when the prince died, he blamed himself. " Mayor Bernard replied, but then his attention back to Cley and Claire who tried to climbing a tree.
"Cley! Claire! Get down from there!" he shouted while his feet back to ran towards them.
"Prophet..." he muttered, then he returned his gaze to the statue.
"Did the late king know I will come?"

He wants to play the latest and greatest VRMMORPG game, but he can't muster up the cash for the fancy new proprietary hardware and membership license. After months of saving up cash and arduous work, he has built a behemoth of a machine relying almost entirely on seedy old technology and a DIY guide by some dude named "Jimmy Bob." This is the story of his entry into the game. This is also a story of intrigue, exploration, introspection, batshit crazy game design, and unintended but entirely predictable consequences. This is G.C.O. Undergoing a total re-write, mostly because I think things were too rushed rather than any content or direction changes. If you are one of the few who tried Shrike when it was briefly updating, consider giving it another shot. Of no relation to either The Great Crusade or the recent (in 2017 lol) Shrike book for Warhammer by Games Workshop. All similarities in these cases are superficial; please don't sue me. Feedback welcome and encouraged, never be afraid to review or comment. HQ/Kindle-Grade cover art. Book Cover 2.0: "From the Dark"
