《Reborn: Last Chance to Ascend》60. Unexpected visitors, part 2

An idiot with black hair kept looking at me while the dust in the air slowly settled down. I had no clue what to do.
We both kept staring at each other for a few moments until he spoke with a grin plastered on his red flushed face.
"You really must love me if you are stalking me."
Anger started to boil in me as I started to think about beating him down, "Shut up! I have enough of your nonsense..."
He abruptly interrupted me, "You can try to deny it, but I know your true feelings."
I stretched my hand towards him, and his legs slowly lifted from the ground, and he grew even redder as he started to choke, flailing with his arms and legs.
"Bang!" doors abruptly flew wide open as his companions walked in. Expecting a fight, two pairs of wings spread on my back, creating a halo of energy behind me. The wooden floor under me started to rot at a visible rate, and the wall started to warp in a kaleidoscope of colours. A surprised expression appeared on my adversaries' faces, but to my surprise, they vanished almost instantly.
"What have you done, Jim? You idiot!" shouted his brown-haired friend while the girl remained standing on the place with her arms crossed.
Doubt crept into my mind, 'Something is wrong! They don't seem to care about their friend choking... That's too. Why is he soo weak if he can block my [Analyze]?'
"Shouldn't we help him? It would be pretty bad if his level drops?" the girl finally spoke.
The brown-haired boy started to walk toward me, but he stopped as an invisible force stopped him in his steps, "Wait! Please pardon my stupid friend here! He... He fell on his head as a baby!"
I sneered at the stupid excuse, but my anger subsided a little bit as interest and amusement replaced it.

"Gahh!" Jimmy finally breathed out as the pressure on his neck vanished, even though he remained suspended in the air. Then he opened his mouth to say something, only to close it back after a glare from his companions.
"Who are you, and what is your purpose for coming here!" I said coldly.
The brown-haired boy hesitated for a few moments, but after a while, he slightly bowed down and spoke with a proud tone, "We are the heroic champions of gods on the mission to save the world from demonic armies coming from the cold north."
'Now I am glad that I let them live... who knows what problems would their deads cause. Maybe I would even become hunted by the whole world.' I internally breathed out in relief, 'Is it possible that they are lying? Yes, but it's implausible with their manner of speech and naivety. Hmm, wouldn't it better be to slay them while they are weak? No, it is not worth it to solve the potential future problems while paying such a huge price immediately.'
"So now that you know how awesome I am, are you going to join my future harem?" Jimmy asked with a voice full of pride.
"Zuuum! Bang!" I waved my hand, throwing him against the wall. Small cracks formed on its surface, before he fell to his knees. I gazed towards his companions. They remained standing in the place with the girl shaking her head.
'And these kids are supposed to save the world... This world is doomed.'
Jimmy slowly stood up and spat out some blood before his smile returned to his face.
"Stop causing trouble!" Both of his companions shouted at him at the same time.
'What are these theatrical nonsense... It is not even amusing anymore.'
Then I finally retracted my wings to wherever they go when they vanish.
"Anyway, where is the rest of you? I see only the three of you here? Are the four others in this city too?"

"How do you know that there are seven of us?" All three of them threw suspicious gazes toward me.
'Ooops, it looks like it wasn't public knowledge... well, let's use the ultimate excuse.'
"I have my sources. Now, answer my question!" I raised my voice in intimidation.
"We split from them because they are so stupid! They are blabbering about justice without any break. They have no plan. They just want to rush toward the north without any preparation!" Jimmy shouted loudly before his friends could stop him.
'Well, if this idiot calls them stupid... Then I feel pity for them. 'I grinned inwardly, 'Maybe I can extract some information from these visitors, maybe even manipulate them for my gain.'
"Well, now that I know who you are, I would like to offer you accommodation at my castle. You deserve it as someone who risks their life for this world.", then I pointed towards the wall that was warped and crooked with sections of it replaced by random materials, "At the top of that, it looks like this room. Will fall apart soon."
Jimmy opened his mouth to speak, but the brown-haired boy stopped him by putting his hand on Jimmy's shoulder, "I think that we should discuss your offer between ourselves. Can you give us some privacy?"
I nodded and walked towards the door while cursing inwardly, 'I just hope they will not cause any trouble... But as I overheard, they just want to train in the dungeon. '
The doors closed behind me, but I grinned inwardly as I knew that these thin doors were nothing to my senses. I focused my hearing in the direction of the room.
I waited and waited, but no sound came from inside. Suspicion arose inside of me as I realised that they probably realised my intention to listen to their conversation, 'Why are they preventing me from listening? Are they planning to stab me in the back? Maybe it is a mistake to let them remain in this city. Should I chase them away before they can finish their scheme? Nah, I am probably just overthinking it again. It is very likely that they just want some privacy without any malicious intent. Even if they are planning something, it may be better to keep them under my sight.'
Doors finally opened, and the three heroes walked out. Most eyes catching was the red handprint on the Jimmies face. Their brown-haired spokesperson spoke, "I am afraid that we must refuse your offer." After noticing a frown on my face, he continued, "It's not like we do not appreciate your offer. It's just that we do not wish to gain too much attention."
'Shit, they are probably really planning something... but wait a minute, if they are really planning something, I bet they would go smarter way about it. Also, that reason about attention makes sense, too. There is probably lots of individual willing to assassinate them. Still, I will let someone follow them, just in case.'
"Well, do as you want.." I looked at them threateningly with purple and red energy swirling in my eyes, "but do not cause any trouble on my land, or you will be punished even with your status."
After my speech, I walked back into the room, spread my wings and took off through the hole in the roof. My destination was the dungeon entrance as I wanted to collect enough death energy to be able to activate [Reaper Form] in case of an emergency. Also, I needed to vent out my frustration with the trio of heroes.
