《Reborn: Last Chance to Ascend》2. Searching For Dinner (Refurbished)

I woke up on the cold and hard stone. The entrance was still blocked, making the already dark cave even darker. I stood up and stretched my legs. Then, I tried to move my broken arm, moving it in a few circles. I didn't feel any pain.
'Alteast, my arm is healed.'
So I activated my [Torch Hand]. Flames ignited around my hand, illuminating the whole cavern.
''Finally, I can check my status without worrying about ambushes.''

System Tutorial
First Open Information: SP in full name stat point/skill points can be exchanged for stats or new random skills and spells.
First Open Information: CE in full name Celestial Energy is existence in most primordial and elemental form. It can be exchanged for skills or to trigger evolution when stored CE reaches a threshold. Evolutions will allow entities to unlock more powerful skills, increase stats, and grant unique skills. These functions are available due to the presence of [CE absorption and control] skill.
First Open Information: Each living system entity has a predefined talent for each stat. This talent changes the growth speed of its respective stat per level. It also controls the rate of gaining proficiency of skills and spells affiliated with the individual stat. This talent is represented with ranks from lovest G to highest SSS.
''Looks like this whole system thing is pretty user-friendly with all of these explanations. So I guess it's' time to use my SP. I don't' need new skills, for now, especially random ones. I will rather improve my current skills. This means that I will use all of them to increase my stats. Should I empower my already strong magic or compensate for my weak vitality... I think that I should go with vitality as I will get plenty of other stats per level due to higher talents.''
I put all of my stats into vitality, boosting my HP by 300. I planned to check the content of the store, but my growling stomach had a different opinion.
''Of course, I hadn't eaten this whole time. I should hunt one of these hogs.''

Massive stones blocking the entrance slid out of my way with grindings sounds, letting in a little bit of light as I pushed them with [Telekinesis].
It wasn't much because a dense canopy of ancient oaks created perpetual darkness.
I slowly walked out of the cave and spotted the corpse of a bear still covered in its stone armour. I ignored it, as its meat was ruined by a death attribute of my spells.
Then I ran in the direction of muddy parts of the forest where I fought hog last time.
An hour passed without me spotting any living animal except for a few small ones. My speed decreased as I tried to avoid dirtying my clothes and shoes with mud.
Another half an hour passed, and I kept walking until I heard something. I couldn't help myself and started to smile.
"Oink! Oink!" came from my right side, and I looked in its way and my smile immediately vanished.
It wasn't' a [Blazing Hog], but an ugly bipedal pig with a huge belly. Its face was ugly, covered in mud, with massive tusks and snout. It wasn't' wearing any pants, to my total disgust, so its ugly, dirty thing was swinging around as it walked.
''Is this a legendary orc? I was wondering if orcs in this world are these pig-like ones or the green ones. Maybe it is intelligent. I should try to speak to it.''
I shouted in its direction, "Hey, you! Are you an Orc?"
"Oink! Kiii!" Its only response was some weird pig-like sound.
Then it went on all four of its limbs and started to charge towards me in some semi bestial style. It was smaller than a classical hog, and it was fast, but still not as fast a [Dark Wolf]. It was accelerating towards me with mud flying around it.
I did not wait for it to get close to me, so I cast two [Death Lightning] in its direction. Tendrils of purple lightning erupted from the tips of my fingers on both of my hands, and two surges of purple electricity flew in the orc's direction.
It bent its hind legs and used them as spring to jump two meters to air, jumping above the first lightning. However, it couldn't change its trajectory in midair. Second lifting hit orc straight into his ugly swinging thing. Purple lighting enveloped it, burning it into a cinder before spreading into the rest of the orc's body.
Orc immediately fell to the ground. It started to roll on the ground while screeching incomprehensible sounds. Its high-pitched screams of pain were echoing through the forest.
'How does it survive so much electricity running through its body?'

Its thing started to slowly regrow as it got up and glared at me with freezing hatred.
"Hey, it was an accident. I wasn't' aiming there," I said teasingly before analysing the situation in my mind. 'It has some kind of regeneration, so the fire will be a way forward as novels and games of Eart taught me. Luckily I had access to console and books when I was held in the lab.'
Without waiting on it to get out of shock, I threw [Death Flame Fireball] on it while preparing another one in my other hand. It made a slight sidestep letting my spell harmlessly fly by its side, so I threw the second one while already preparing another one.
It made another sidestep, dodging another spell so I threw the third one.
It flew directly towards an orc that was still recovering from its last dodge and directly hit it into the neck. Flames burst out of its neck, quickly spreading over its whole body and burning it to ugly smouldering mass.

I looked at the disgusting, burned remains. 'I am hungry, but not angry enough to eat something like this. I will keep searching for proper piggy.'
With a quick step, I returned to my search. It took me fifteen more minutes to finally find something to eat.
It was beautiful fat boar with flames coming out of its nostrils.
I was so hungry that my starving gaze and aura caused the hog to flinch. I had used the same strategy as before.
I sent two bright blue lightings towards a charging boar. As before too slow to dodge it released a fan of flames towards my bolts of lightning. Bolts of lightning again passed through the flames and hit the hog into its big head. Blue tendrils enveloped the whole boar causing its bones to show up.

A delicious smell filled the air and I approached a dead hog. It was already even cooked by powerful lightning!
"Ohh, piggy, you made me so happy! Hahaha," I laughed with the joy of finally founding a snack.
Then I slowly dragged my spoils back to my cavern with the help of my high strength. It must have looked comically, a small girl carrying a hog bigger than her.
I feared that the smell of meat would attract some wolves or other monsters, so I speeded up a bit. Soon I arrived back at my cave.
I looked at my soon-to-be meal and decided that I needed to remove the skin at first, but I had no knife, so I grabbed a sharp piece of stone that came from stone spikes made by a bear, a piece of cloth, and a wooded stick. From these, I crafted a simple knife. It was pretty easy with the experiences I gained during years of hiding and escaping from my pursuers.
I quickly removed the skin and entrails. After that, I impaled the hog on a massive branch. Then I made an improvised fireplace and started to grill to make sure it was properly cooked.
'It is already cooked by lightning but better to be safe. I doubt that lightning travelled through every tendon in a boar. The last thing I need is to catch some kind of disease. There is a chance that the smell will attract something, but this cave is easly defendable and easy to barricade, so I should be safe.'
I decided to shorten my waiting by checking CE unlockables.

'Now this is a problem, there is a bunch of handy stuff, especially that [Item Box], but I am also missing only 500 to evolve.'
I spent more than an hour thinking about this problem as the meat slowly grilled. Finally, I made the decision to take one skill.
System Announcement
You gained a new skill [Item Box I]
[Item Box] gave me the ability to store items. At level 1, it was capable of holding 100 KG of items. Time inside of it was slowed down ten times at level 1, and the temperature inside was equal to the temperature of my surroundings.
Soon my meal was ready. I cut away a piece of tender, juicy meat and ate it.
'Pretty good. It misses some seasoning, but I am so hungry that I don't care. Anyway, it's still much better than the shits they fed me in the lab. '
After a huge dinner, I threw as much as possible of big hog into my item box. Then I dried hog skin with [Dry] utility spell and put it on cold stone floors to make my sleep more comfortable. Finally, I barricaded the cave and went to sleep.
