Arc I - New Beginnings
[Chapter 5 : Exploration]
So I have a fair plan of future events but before we implement those we should focus on the present currently it has been an hour and this group of 76 has done pretty well. I decided to make it so that to gain skills for example chopping down a tree for timber the prerequisites to gain that skill would be to accomplish certain checkpoints.
[Feller] {Passive, Common} Level: 0
(You understand how to fell a tree.)
// Prerequisites to gain skill Feller
* By hand chop down a tree for the purpose of it's timber
*
* !!! Will not receive skill if your purpose is to gain the skill !!!
//
Skills can be learned without needing the class BUT the class helps you learn those class special skills faster or gain it. Not only that but the class provides bonuses to that skill.
And I have also written down the way to gain skills and no class is set in stone you can make any class you receive your main class BUT you cannot freely change it there is a time limit before you can change it again. I have decided it to be one week to change SUBCLASSES and one month to change MAIN CLASS.
This is what will be shown when they unlock the class.
*NEW CLASS UNLOCKED -
Class - Lumberjack
Main Class Bonuses:
+15% Wood Material Drops
+15% STR
+10% SP
(Making this a subclass will give 20% effectiveness)
If player choose to set this as Main Class they unlock these skills immediately:
Main Class Skills:
[Chop] {Active, Common} Level: 0
(The act of chopping away material)
+50% Damage
SP Cost: 10
[Split] {Active, Common} Level: 0
(Infuse the arms and axe with mana to split away the material)
+100% Damage
MP Cost: 40
SP Cost: 25
If the choose to make it a subclass they have a 20% bonus to wood chopping. That would mean they can gain the skills through hard work faster than someone without that subclass.
Learned Skills ≠ Given Skill
To avoid players abusing the switch main class to gain free skills you must have 100% proficiency in that skill to have "learned it" if you switch main class without using the skill you will forget about it. Skill can also degrade but this takes super long every time you master it or grow that skill it will soon become near impossible to forget about it.
But skill can slowly degrade therefore if you were say a master chef but never cooked for 10 years you may find yourself down at professional or average level chef.
"System do you understand where I am coming from?"
"Yes this method is really intelligent way to make skills an earned skill."
"I will start changing things live but first let's watch our players and see what happens before reacting and responding to that."

=== Back to Ice Prince's POV ===
As he was splitting the team into five as everyone here came from different places in the world but were all gamers in a sense they understood collaboration and most of them held their own livestreams or videos recording to post for content.

Although he seemed calm on the outside inside he was freaking out he was well known for being a professional MOBA and MMORPG gamer he rarely played any other games outside of that so when he was given this gaming cabin although it looked fancy he was still skeptical but as he played it the more shocked he was at this.
Even though he called himself the leader he still hasn't gotten the recognition of most players since they still wanted to do their own thing but are united for the prize and as there is a large part of professional and competitive players they always want the best item even if the result to get that item is based on how many players survive.
You can see happiness in all their faces of the experience they have while inside there is no tiny annoyances you would have in the real life such as the skin feeling like it's going to be sunburned from the sun or the feeling of discomfort such as body pains or strained eyesight.
This grassland space is currently being cleared by players and instead of doing it "normal" what you would do in real life they started to use their weapons to displace the grass and loose dirt. You would think that gamers could freely talk to each other without discomfort but as this felt like reality they returned to their own awkward selves as it is no longer disconnected as talking to each other with speech bubbles on a monitor.
Raising his arm up to the sunlight he can feel the warmth of the sun, the light breeze of the wind, and the smell of fresh outside dew morning.
"Hello, Ice Prince! It's so cool that we are on the same team!" Looking over its the other Korean guy called Autumn Winds a fan of mine. This is a team of six and as the last team to gather it had only six offensive classes. Three warriors, one mage, on assassin, and one archer all classes focused on dealing damage.
Warriors - Ice Prince, Autumn Winds, CuteCuddlyKitten
Mage - Frostbite
Assassin - Kage
Archer - Wilson
Ice Prince: "Don't be so nervous I am just a famous gamer I still enjoy making new connections. Tell me I am curious how did you all get here?"
Autumn Winds: "Well I just clicked yes on an email I received before getting the gaming cabin within hours after I responded to it."
CuteCuddlyKitten: "That is the same to me I got in through the email."
All the others nodded their heads.
Kage: "Hey, don't you think this is like an evil alien corporation with secret government hiding black technology?"
Wilson: "That's crazy no government would be willing to give such high tech in the forms of gaming they would keep it for their personal soldiers and then release it way later for a huge price for profit. But this corporation is willing to give away 100 free machines without asking for payment or even the cost of shipping."
Autumn Winds: "As cool as I would like to suspect how this came here I am a person more into playing the game so I think we should focus on what is before us after it would suck if we failed to receive the rare skill and equipment."

Kage: "I just thought because this is so realistic it's as if we... isekai'd into another world."
Ice Prince: "This game is extremely weird it only gives the choice of class, some minor changes to appearance, and one passive class skill at the start there is nothing in here that shouts that it is looking for money, no cash shop, no starting bundles, no advertisements, it's quite weird."
As they chatted with each other on the thoughts they found their first monster after minutes of walking. "I see a monster up ahead!" The entire groups attention has been turned to the crawling blob ahead. "That's a slime their weakness is the core that looks like the eye you must aim for that otherwise it will not die."
Ice Prince runs up with his sword unsheathed held with both hands over his head before doing a downward attack aimed straight at the core cleanly cutting it in half.
Above the slime read Critical Hit* - 53
Killed Level 1《Green Slime》 Gained 〘3 exp〙
Without the core nothing to hold the liquid up together it slowly oozes expanding out pulled by gravity.
Ice Prince: "No monster drops?"
Autumn Winds: "Maybe try collecting it by hand after all this game is super realistic."
Looking over to the split slime core he grabs it before thinking about storing it in his inventory. The orb disappears from his hand looking at his status he sees the collected item in his inventory.
=== Inventory === {Items} {Weapon} {Armor} {Tools} {Consumables} {Materials} {Key Items} Currency: 0 {Materials}
NEW*〚Green Slime Core〛{Material, Common}
Amount: 1
Quality: Broken
Properties: ???
Ice Prince: "I had to pick up the item before being able to place it in my inventory here I will share you the image I got." Swiping his fingers he shows the panel of the new green slime core in the inventory."
Autumn Winds: "Maybe it will also work with the slime liquid."
Collecting the liquid into his hand as soon as he placed it inside another entry was created in his inventory.
NEW*〚Green Slime Liquid〛{Material, Common}
Amount: 20 ml
Quality: Normal
Properties: ???
Ice Prince: "I see this is really interesting." After the group started to understand how this game worked they continued exploring forward.
Kage: "This game is too easy." Finding out the gimmicks he stole the slime's core yanking it out the body killing it leaving him with a perfect quality core.
Frostbite: "It isn't as cool as my magic!"
Kage: "But it is more accurate you almost hit me before! Wasting like 60 mp to take down a single slime I only have to run up to it and steal the core."
Frostbite: "I only missed three shots that is 30 mp."
Kage: "Still missed."
Ice Prince: "Alright stop this childish bickering we are heading into the forest now, and from my past experience that means a stronger monster will be here." After minutes of walking in the open fields they approached the edge of the forest. They only found small groups of slimes hardly enough to level them up once they did get more used to their bodies.
The group of six slowly entered the forest in a leisure pace some tripping on the roots of trees still having a light conversation in a hushed voice suddenly a large shaking of a bush.
*Buuuu
"AH!" -74 HP
*Crunch
Kage the assassin who was still bickering with Frostbite the mage cried out in pain as he got tackle by a large boar into a tree with the sounding crunch of bones breaking.
"Watch out!" The entire group turned from their lazy aura into one of surprise and fear.
*Squeal!!!
The boar raised it's front legs before huffing and locking onto Frostbite.
"Don't go for me go for the others!" Turning around he started to run away. Ice Prince was shocked unable to move his body in shock and fear how can a game make me so scared? Just as he was hesitating to run or stay a shadow flew to the boar stabbing a sword into it's thick hide.
"Guys there are six of us we can defeat this pig!" shouted Autumn Winds. Frostbite who was running turned around to calm down his nerves.
[Boar] Level: 5
HP: 250 / 250
*Thunk -13
An arrow was lodged into the boar's hide.
*Squeal! The boar's brown hide started to turn red all over glowing in a red aura.
"Is it me or is this boar glowing red?"
"It's glowing red! Get away from it!"
Autumn Winds noticing how the boar is looking straight at him slowly backed up until he hit a tree. The pissed off boar scrapped the ground with it's feet. A noticeable amount of white smoke snorted out of his nostrils he stopped scrapping his feet and charged forward.
Seeing it come extremely fast at impossible speed he instinctively jumped up over the boar as it crashed past through the tree shattering the bark into splinters. The tree without the base supporting it fell sideways crashing the surrounding area lifting up loose dirt. The boar who crashed through the tree is now lying weakly on the grass with wood pieces in it's head which it used to charge.
[Boar] Level: 5
HP: 87 / 250
"It just injured itself! It's weak attack it!"
Seeing his change Autumn Winds drops his sword into the weakened skull of the dying boar's body. Weakness + Critical Hit* - 94 After seeing it die he collapsed onto the ground exhausted while the others shaken off their fear walked over to check up on him ignoring the person who was hit first.
Kage: "It's fine you guys don't like me but to not even ask if I am okay the person who was attacked by the boar? I almost died what is up with these forest creatures first they sneak up and almost kill you in one shot if I didn't turn my pain value down I am sure I would pass out because this HURTS like hell!"
Kage: "Huh?! I gained 8 experience even though I didn't do anything."
Looking at his notifications Autumn Winds found that he gained 22 exp.
Killed Level 5《Forest Boar》 Gained 〘22 exp〙
"This game is super crazy."

Will You Be Alone? After The End? Don't You Know We're All Still Here?
More than a century ago the world was devastated, but that doesn't matter. Nobody cares about the past, stories from that time are as wildly conflicting as they are ridiculous--when any stories exist at all. There are problems in the here and now that need to be dealt with, bringing the past into things isn't going to help anyone. The fact is that young people all over the world are developing mysterious powers, and the public reactions to these powers are far from positive. Fair enough, you might say. Who wants a young man around who can conjure heat from the palm of his hand? How deeply undesirable is a girl who can bend your emotions to her will? What use, I ask you, is a girl whose very essence crackles with lightning? No use at all, I'd say. As for this so-called Mr Fin and his grand ideals, well, all I can say is that his clothing is of better quality than his plans. Vague allusions to a 'sanctuary' and a 'mysterious and powerful statue' are all very well, but when it comes to solid results I fear you may find him somewhat lacking. Mark my words and mark them well, following one such as him will only lead to tears. All in all, I'd say there's not much you could reasonably expect from a world such as this. Conflict, perhaps. Hardship, certainly. Despair, heartache, loss... ...hope? No, don't be ridiculous. Where could one find hope, in this ruin of an existence? Honestly, I am asking. Where?Discord

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
