《Jormungandr's calamity》Book 1: Chapter 10 : A talk with Vroul

I had just fallen asleep and as I was asleep, I took the opportunity to ask Jormi several questions.
Me: " Jormi like you can see since yesterday I have taken at least 4 cm. Is this normal and why is my venom not like the other snakes? While I was questioning him, he told me to calm down.
Jormi: Young people always in such a hurry, calm down, I'll explain everything to you. As far as height gain is concerned, it is normal for you to grow up because all living things after birth will have a huge growth spurt. But your case is different.
Me: How is it different?
Jormi: Let's take the example of a human, after birth he starts to grow up until he is 21 years old. After this time his growth stops and this is where we are special. Indeed normally every living being at a time when he must stop growing, but this is not our case. We will continue to grow throughout our lives.
Me: Does this mean that I don't need to do anything to become more powerful?
Jormi: You can take it that way, but it is better that you feed on other living things. Let's say you absorb a quarter of your father's blood, you'll gain a total of 85 cm. It is therefore preferable that you hunt prey because your growth will be greater.
Me: Thank you but what's wrong with my venom, why can I use it only on rainy days.
Jormi: I don't know, I was born with this myself how could I know why we are like this. My theory is that the creator allowed us to use our venom only on rainy days because otherwise, we would be too powerful.
Me: Why is the creator so angry with our species?
Jormi: It's not just on us that he has placed limitations on our powers but on all his creations because otherwise some of them would too powerful

Me: Do we know who this creator is?
Jormi: No one knows, the only thing we know is that it exists and that's it. You mustn't say a bad thing on him otherwise he might kill you."
I was intrigued by this thing that calls itself a creator. Several questions were trotting in my head like who was he? Is he that powerful? Is he real? But I know that I may not find an answer to these questions because even Jormungandr could not meet him with the power he possessed.
Now that Jormi had left my subconscious and I was alone, I began to play my first day in this world. You could say that it was rich because I was able to learn a lot and also that I will surely be hunted during my whole life. That was the only negative thing about that day.
Before I left my mind and really fell asleep, I visited my little planet but nothing had changed. It's a pity because I would have acquired information about the abilities I had because I'm sure I could conjure up water or something like that because otherwise, I won't be able to use my poison and if I can't conjure up the water I must surely have some other ability otherwise I won't be a legendary monster.
Right now I need to focus on more important things like being able to feel killing intent. Well, I'll ask my father in the morning for a place where I can hunt without being too dangerous. And so I left my subconscious because if I spent the whole night in this place, my body will have rested but not my spirit.
What I didn't know was that moonlight was illuminating my body and being illuminated by this source of light my body was growing even more than yesterday. I was 90 cm tall before I fell asleep and had grown 4 cm but now Bagir's body was 96 cm tall.

His body had absorbed the moonlight and had grown even more than it should. What did Bagir have to do with the Moon?
The next day I woke up and noticed that I had grown up again but that was normal but I didn't know that I had grown more than normal. As I had not done so yesterday I silently sneaked out of the cave and went in search of the bear to ask him for a place where I could fight beings who would not take my life but would offer me a fight.
Why didn't I just ask my father? Very simple I was going to do it, but my father would surely have made too much noise and thus woke up my mother. Once she was awake, she would have refused to let me go out alone, so I had to contact the bear.
After going out, I saw him in front of the little stream, I walked towards him and went to meet him because I had not yet had the opportunity to speak to him and my parents had not introduced him to me.
Me: "Hello could you please give me a little bit of your time?
He looked at me intrigued as if he wondered if I was talking to him.
Me : Yes, I'm talking to you.
Vroul: You should stay with your parents and stay away from me, you don't know what will happen to you if you are alone.
Me: Why should I stay away from you? You're part of the family or you wouldn't be with us no and you'll protect me if there's something dangerous.
Vroul: That's where you're wrong, I'm not here because I want to be but because I was forced to be.
Me: What do you mean by forced?
Vroul: If you want I had a fight to the death with your father because I attacked your mother. When the fight was over, I had been defeated by your father and he left me two choices: to die or to become your guardian. So I choose to live even if it is a cowardly choice.
Me: It's not cowardly everyone would do that in your place.
Vroul: I don't understand. You know I just fought your father. Why don't you run away?
Me: Why would I run away? It's not as if you're going to kill me, on the contrary, you have to protect me and I was taken by a crazy laugh. How ironic an enemy who becomes your child's guardian only my father would come up with such an idea.
Vroul: You're a strange little one, a normal person wouldn't have accepted my presence and would have run away after learning what had happened but you just stand there and even laugh about it.
Me: You could say that I am not normal because I have the same blood as Jormungandr.
Looking at this young snake, Vroul saw himself as a child. Indeed he too was strange compared to the others. He felt another emotion when he looked at him, and that was trust. How long has it been since I've felt this way? Even my henchmen who had fought with me for much of my life could not gain my trust. The only person I trusted in my life was my mother.
Vroul: Would you like to hear my story?
Me: With pleasure, I would like to learn more about my protector."
