Why is the princess going to a frontier village like this?

I still don’t know what its name is.

I see Kin and the other villagers running towards the center of the village.

They must be excited to see someone of royal stature.

I look at my opponent and see that Calvin is still in a daze on the ground.

I look around and notice that the excitement earlier was immediately doused as every person here wanted to give their respect to the princess.

Royalty can greatly influence the masses. I guess powerful authority figures will always be a trend...

Well, I’ve got nothing to do anyway, so I’ll go with them.

I use my [God Senses] to check out the village.

The area where the princess is supposed to be has a very powerful person.

They are at least on the same level as the black men before excluding their leader.

That person must be her personal bodyguard.

Now... To find that stupid reptile. It suddenly ran off.

I use [God Senses] actively to find the wyvern.

I found it.

The wyvern is outside the village in a relatively safe place. It's far away to be considered safe but near enough so that it can swoop in to protect me.

Very impressive

The moment the wyvern sensed a powerful individual enter the village, it immediately left and hid but still kept my safety as a priority.

Should be I impressed or mad?

Also, what type of servant leaves their master?

I chuckle and hope it doesn't run into trouble. At least it’s smart enough to take care of itself.

I start to think of the amount of traveling I'll be doing. Maybe I can take it with me then.

After turning my active [God Senses] off, I walk towards the large crowd of people in the village.

When I arrived at the edge of the crowd, I see Kin trying to fit in to get a peek of the princess.

Kin tries her best to see the carriage carrying the princess but her small height and the thick crowd prevents her from doing so.

“Hey, ~~ Let me see.”

Kin is getting annoyed while puffing her cheeks.

Did Felina pick her solely because she's adorable?

I tap her shoulder to get her attention.

“ahh”

It seemed to scare her and she jumps a little.

“Oh, it’s just you. Jeez, don’t scare me like that.”

This time she’s pouting and looks at me annoyed.

I smile at her which mellows her a little.

Felina must have picked her because she can make adorable expressions. Her scary ones can help as well.

“Is the princess someone impressive that everyone wants to take a look?”

Kin makes a weird face towards my question but she notices that I’m serious and answers.

“Common people like us are usually curious about royalty. Even though most nobility is horrible, not all royalty is. Especially the previous king and current princess, they were actively improving the kingdom for both nobles and commoners."

"Previous?"

Kin nods.

"The previous king died and his brother replaced him who is kind of... A stereotypical horrible king."

Oh... Disappointing.

"But her daughter is continuing his legacy by handling all the projects he started. Even the current king can't prevent her due to her influence."

That's good. At least the princess is a good person.

I was about to take a look at the princess but Kin starts running her mouth.

Kin realizes that she said too much and apologizes. She returns to her normal self and looks towards the carriage.

I think of the princess and try to form an image.

A perfect human being? I don't think that exists.

Even the strongest mortals have flaws.

I think about the other strong presence.

So that strong being with her is her partner, not a bodyguard.

I recall everything Kin told me about how talented and how great this princess was.

I understand why she has managed to reach such heights.

She may be a human but she is a Godblood.

Godblood humans are blessed with Ragos' divine blood, giving them the potential to become heroes and make history.

Usually, I would not be surprised by a Godblood but Ragos created humans differently.

The blood of humans dilutes easily. If a human Godblood wants to have children that have the blood of Ragos, they must have a partner who is also a Godblood.

The moment a human Godblood has a partner that isn't a Godblood, their children will be a normal human no matter what, wasting the potential brought upon by Ragos' blood.

For a human to be a Godblood, there are only two ways.

The most common way is to have Godblood parents. Any of their children would carry Ragos' blood, making them extremely talented.

The other way is to gain Ragos' favor, which is hard. In all the eras, the amount of Godbloods blessed by Ragos doesn't even reach 20. This type of Godblood is stronger and even more potent than the normal Godblood.

This was how Supremas became an influential figure. He was a normal human that gained Ragos' favor and was blessed with his divine blood which led to him ascending godhood.

The reason why I am so agitated is that human Godbloods have the highest potential of all the Godbloods in existence, excluding Godblood dragons.

They even surpass demon Godbloods but demon Godbloods that mate with non-Godbloods at least yields a demon noble.

I take a quick look at Elizabeth.

She doesn't wait for my reply and immediately walks back to the carriage.

All the villagers stare at me and Kin.

She shies away but stays by my side.

When she realizes what just happened, she drags my clothes and lowers my ears towards her mouth.

“Magnus, I think the princess saw through my illusion.”

I nod and acknowledge her opinion.

I think that is the case as well, she had that troublesome skill [Truth beyond eyes].

I didn’t move from my position.

I watched her receding back as she returned to the carriage.

When she goes to ride the carriage, she closes the door.

Everyone looks confused and Kin proceeds to tell me about it.

“Hey, Magnus the-“

“Give her a minute.”

Suddenly, the carriage door bursts open and the princess stretches her head out to stare at me.

Once she sees me, she immediately goes down and walks toward me but unlike earlier, she lost her momentum and is simply brisk walking towards me.

She seems a little bit annoyed.

As a princess, she must be used to people falling over each other for her favor.

“Hey, you!”

I didn’t expect her attitude to take a sudden 360 change.

“Yes?”

I speak to her with my most polite voice.

“I said follow me, why didn’t you follow?”

I know she is a princess but I don’t really want to associate myself with her.

“I don’t want to.”

The village suddenly turns cold.

The knights tense up and I could see them hold the grip of their sword.

Kin looks at me incredulously.

The princess suddenly smiled mischievously, as she went closer to me and said quietly.

“Do you really want to be stabbed in the dark? Those eyes of yours are a big 'please kill me' signal.”

She saw through Kin’s illusion.

It seems I have no choice but to follow her for now.

Maybe I can ask Kin to use a more powerful illusion later.

“I will go but she has to go too.”

I nod towards Kin.

The princess thinks about it for a moment and then agrees.

This brought a giant smile to Kin. She must be excited to ride a royal carriage with her idol.

We follow her towards the carriage.

Everyone stares at us while we walk behind the princess.

The carriage has another woman whose beauty is unmatched as well but is slightly inferior to the princess.

I sit down while facing both the princess and her partner, while Kin sits beside me.

Kin is uncontrollably shaking.

I simply enjoy the ride as the carriage brings us wherever they want.

After a few moments of travel, the princess speaks.

“I want you to join me.”

I suddenly hear a gigantic crack from the back of my head.

It sounds like all my dreams were shattered.

Why does my first adventure have to be with this troublesome seedling?

Their eyes both stare at me but it seems her partner is mostly curious.

“No”

I really don’t want to join you guys ok?

The princess stares at me, while her partner is suppressing a smile.

Kin is looking at me with a surprised face but doesn’t comment.

“Why?”

The princess stares at me. She seems to be studying me.

“I just don’t want to.”

I say that I just really don’t want to be with a future hero.

Once that egg hatches, she’s going to be given responsibilities and by proxy, I am given responsibilities.

I just escaped a universal responsibility, I don’t want a small one troubling me.

What could she possibly want from a cursed person?

Does she want to kill me for the promised treasure?

I’m not really sure if she’s going to be given one since I'm sure that the one who cursed me is laying low.

"You seem to be saying the truth.”

I really am saying the truth, I don’t want to join you guys.

“Anyway, I want to explain the reason why I want you to join me.”

Please don’t. I don’t really care.

I start to stop her but she doesn’t seem to care and continues anyway.

“I saw through your illusion earlier. I know about your dangerous situation. The thing is, 3 days ago there was a situation which rattled the whole world”

I sweat a little.

Really?! What does that have to do with me?

I couldn't have been connected to any world-shattering events!

This time she stares at me seriously. I can guess what she’s thinking right now.
