《The Uncrowned King(LITRPG)》Ch 07- The Fallen King

***Aristle's POV***
I stared at the level 3 hunter going at it, he was elegantly dodging between the strikes of the brute orcs, at first I was hesitating, thinking that maybe this was a little too much for the young initiate, but I guess I was wrong, the way in which he calmly and accurately walks away from any sign of danger was amazing, it seemed like I was looking at a machine.
'This level of experience could not be achieved in mere days, according to the system notification, the initiates arrived at the island just two days ago, there is no way in hell a genius of this magnitude appeared among them this soon... Even if he already has a blessing from some God, it should take him months if not years to get a proper handle on how to perfectly use its powers...'
Another Orc was decapitated as he arced behind another one with simple footsteps, 'The only possibility I can think of is he's the heir of some Level 4-5 superpower that was given access to the integration to gain rewards.'
I bit my lip as I looked at him to finish off the last orc before picking up some coins, "You done?" I levelled my voice neutral without giving him any chance to read my mind.
'If he's from a level 4 powerhouse then helping him would definitely help me in the future, plus no matter what he would never let it slip that he's not an Initiate belonging to Planet ZX-458'
"Come on we need to talk-" I walked towards the next orc group that I could sense and then continued, "Do you know why the integration takes place?"
I looked at his slightly handsome face as it was etched with confusion, "Yes so that we could enter the tower and gain a chance for our species to survive."

'Heh, he's good...'
I shook my head and explained, "That's just a lie, well maybe not a lie but a half-truth, you have been blessed by a God right? Why would he/she do that? As you see there is no reason to give you any powerups cause you couldn't provide anything in return..."
"Umm..." He tried as his face was set in a frown.
"The System integrates new galaxies every 100 years, new species and characters are added under its control, fighting for the resources and stealing from one another, the tower as you said is the most basic survival test that there is, all the species that can reach the 100th floor gain access to the vast technologies of the universe and are initiated and granted level-1 technology."
"Level 1 technology?" There was a genuine confused expression on Ryan's face.
'Damn these level 5 superpowers are different huh!'
"Exactly, Intergalactic spaceships, gene evolving solutions, plus your whole species gain access to the system, after that the main fight starts, and if for example, your species manages to defeat all the representatives of the different species throughout the tower climbing to the 1000th floor, you will earn the right to own your galaxy and thus be promoted to a Level 3 superpower." I looked at the Orc group ahead and said, "Continue fighting I'll continue explaining..."
'Maybe he'll let something slip if he's focused on fighting.'
"To reach a Level 3 superpower is a difficult task for a level 2 superpower so that's why integration is soo important, each level 3 superpower is subordinate to one level 5 or 6 superpower's member and that superpower is chosen by who is the greatest warrior among the level 3 superpower. The God that blessed the chosen is given right to manage the newly minted superpower, so that was why a god took interest in you."

"So what do I need to do?" Ryan asked.
"What you need to do is level up because if you aren't strong enough then you can't help this pathetic king win against the other 3 rulers. Although the war hasn't started yet it soon would and I don't think the ruined emperor could help you, which would decrease your chances of gaining the rewards given by the system at the end of the tutorial."
"But how can I gain the rewards even if I get strong, our faction's guards and mercenaries are under levelled, and no matter how much I try I don't think I could do anything against them?"
"You just keep killing the orcs I'll handle the rest, what level are you?"
"Almost level 12"
"Hmm then we need to switch places, the orcs won't give you much EXP now..."
...
***Ryan's POV***
'The orcs aren't enough?'
I used the All-Seeing gaze on the Orc.
Lv 21-Orc (F)
HP = 3400/4300
MP= 1000/1200
Main Attributes- Strength, Endurance
As I dodged backwards to avoid another one of its brutal strikes I looked for a way to jam my dagger through his weak point.
"Stop wasting time with that thing, we need to go back so you can accept a class, that would improve your efficiency and then we can grind faster, remember you need to reach level 25 as soon as possible to get started on your evolution, the faster you reach E-grade the better. You shouldn't waste any stat point if you could help it."
I couldn't help but reminisce about how I desperately struggled to reach E-grade at level 54, those 100's of lost stat points would always haunt me as the difference between me and the elites were clearly visible because of them.
'Even then I only managed to complete my Grade-up quest because of the eye of Muninn...'
I backed away as I felt Aristle's hand clamp on my shoulder and then a feeling of weightlessness took over me.
'I wonder what class I'll get this time!'

Handyman
Real science is done on the edge of knowledge. If done correctly, you really are not certain of the outcomes. If done incorrectly, people can get hurt. This is the story of a researcher tossed across reality. Current update schedule is entirely sporadic, but I do commit to not dropping the story. I'm aiming for 1 small chapter a month at the moment.

Techno-Heretic
Eli is an ancient man sentenced to death for the crime of surpassing the sacred number of 32.8, which is the allowed percentage of increased mental ability from the use of AI chips. As he journeys through death and into a world of fantasy and magic, he finds himself approaching never before seen heights of magical power and ability. Powers that will shape the world and would see him go down in legends for generations ever after. But just because someone acquires magical abilities, that doesn't mean magic is suddenly the most important thing in their life. Some people aren't looking to be all-powerful gods, have the world bow at their feet, or spend their days obsessing over accumulating ever more power. Some people just want acceptance, stability, and the warmth of their loved ones to drive away the cold loneliness of the night. And in a world where magic is the bedrock of society, where magic is what determines who is preferred for siring children, where people with high magical ability are destined to live in great luxury and those without magic simply live to make due, this difference in values and perspective could not have a starker contrast. As Eli and the people around him navigate the misconceptions and deceptions of this world, he will represent a great and magnificent future for the human race. One where humanity will stand above the elves, dwarves, orcs, fairies, and all the horrors of the world. Sadly, men's tools are as fallible as the people who make them, and in a society where the potential of an individual is determined solely through their magical level, this seed of promise may yet turn venomous. The Nephlim Trilogy: Qleehl
It starts when someone takes a life that was never theirs to take.It ends when every shard drowns and nothing remains of what they once knew. Thirteen years ago there was a massacre; a witch hunt of the worst kind with the ashes of innocents falling from the sky. Now, the world is made up of fragile glass, the cracks sharp and jagged. Hatred boils the crimson sea beneath the surface. All it takes is one wrong move- A plan to change the world.A bloody smile with an unspoken apology.A girl with bleeding hair in the monster filled mountains.A change in destiny. -for it to shatter. This is the story about the second war between nephlims and humans. This is the story of how everything ends. -- (21JUN2020 story will be active for another week, I unfortunately do not have a backlog so I can't extend my chapter updates until another port call. I do not know when the next port call will be so I will be on another Hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. Scribblehub is not blocked on my work computer so I will be able to update my story on that website. It can be found here.) This story is a draft, I'll be doing my best to update monthly; work might get in the way of that so some update might be delayed an extra week or so. There will be roughly 31 chapters in total (I have the entire plot written down for the first book and the overall plot written down for the entire series.). (Summary is also a WIP and will change later to better fit the story. Any advice on how to write a summary for multiple POV's would be amazing)
