《Slayer of Kings》Chapter 53 - Sneaking Into The Building

Finally, all the weapons have been transported. It took thirty minutes and a lot of going back and forth.
At least this yielded a lead. The building made of black wood. That is a target, but getting inside will be the problem.
He had to find a way. Leo looked around for anything that could make him enter the building.
The building was big. Much bigger than the others. It had two entrances opposite to each other.
After looking around for five minutes, he came up with a solution. Be a cleaner. That would allow him to go into any part of the building. Simple and effective, but this was dangerous as the likelihood of him running into Aldous or the armored man would be high.
There was a line near him where buckets filled with water and wooden mops kept inside the bucket. Leo moved to the area.
As he reached a person walked to him. He had a spear tied to his back. "Boy, you want to work?"
Leo nodded.
The guard pointed his hands to one bucket. "Take it, follow the group and touch nothing. You only touch the floor."
Leo nodded once again and picked up the basket. He made sure to not let the water or the mop fall as he followed the group of cleaners to the building.
Leo kept his low.
They entered the building. The floors were made of seamless wood. Light brown. A big contrast compared to the outside. The walls were all painted unlike most of the buildings in the city. There were many paths he could take. The group of cleaners did not seem to care which path they took as all of them went their separate ways.
Which way? He had never been inside this building and there were no signs. He followed a small group of clearers. Three. Down a corridor.

It was wide. The rooms were all spaced wide apart. The building looked bigger on the inside when compared to the outside.
Leo cleaned. He had done many jobs like this before as part of his disguise for missions. This would be his first time in this world. Well, him being a young boy could also be a disguise, but the body he has is his own body.
The three cleaners who Leo followed split up. They left Leo on his own. There were people going through the corridor, but they were less. It was lit up using torches. The ceilings were high, so they kept the torches high up. The torches had a circular plate under them likely to collect fallen pieces of wood or fire. Also, he got to know the woods used as torches were special. They would last much longer than a normal torch did. Which made sense otherwise they would have to change it always.
He had to find clues as right now he is doing nothing other than cleaning.
He got his chance. The cleaners in front of him knocked on three different doors in the corridor. The doors opened, and they went inside.
This building should have secret entrances, but finding them will be difficult. He could not enter all the rooms and the people in the rooms rarely left.
The cleaning took one hour. Leo found no lead. At least he did not run into Aldous or the armored man. He had checked all the rooms he entered. Many of them were filled with papers stacked on top of each other. One time, when he was cleaning a stack of the papers fell down. From those, he got to know it contained information about the people in the city such as their age, name, medical condition and many more.

He had failed today. Will he get another chance to look inside the building? Because tomorrow Mia and the others would come. And if they cause problems that would destroy his chances of finding anything.
He had to take the risk. He would not leave with the other cleaners. He would hide in the building until night and keep searching. Then, once night arrived, he will use it as a cover and escape. He still had his old black clothes as the new one was on top. Leo tore his black cloth in the same spot he did with the new clothes. To avoid suspicion as his black cloth did not fit in with the people here.
He decided to hide in the bathroom. Leo waited there for thirty minutes to make sure all the lingering cleaners have gone.
He could go out now and search, but the risk will be high. He could disguise himself as a Pune. This will give him more time, but the risk will be high or he could wait until night for searching. The risk will be less, but the time he can use will be short.
He risked it. Leo waited in the bathroom for thirty minutes, so any lingering cleaners would also leave. Then he walked out. He made his way to one of the bigger areas where many documents laid on the floors. He picked one of them but got stopped.
"Which division are you from?" One man asked.
Division? He knew none, but he knew about room numbers. "Room 16."
"Then those are not the files. You must be new. What are they thinking by giving jobs like this to children?" the man said as he made his way to another area. "These are the ones."
Leo picked them up and left the room. As he left the room, a familiar voice sounded in his ears. Aldous.
Leo stopped and made sure no one was watching. Then he gently dropped the documents to the floor and acted as if they had fallen by mistake. He made sure his head was now in sight as people inside could not see him. He would have to lean inside to see what was happening.
Aldous was talking to some people. Then danger erupted. Aldous walked towards him.
He could not pick up all the letters in time and he could not leave them here. Leo lowered his head. Aldous walked past him. He looked down, but Leo kept his head down, so Aldous did not see his face.
Leo finished picking up the papers. He then followed Aldous.
This would be his chance.

8 160Quirkless?
As a small child my whole perception of the world changed. I was surrounded by liars and fakes. Humans are such a cruel species, if someone doesn't fit they are cast out. People turn a blind eye to cruelty I've faced, people don't care about the quirkless. Except I'm not quirkless. Far from it. All I can say is my treatment in this world made me strong but cold, bitter and apathetic. I was the only human I could trust, I and I alone. Here is the story of how I ended up in my version of hell, UA. Surrounded by, well you know, just about every single person I couldn't get far enough away from. And an overkill quirk just about everyone wanted a piece of. Yeah I was dealt some pretty shitty cards, now you'll see how I play them.Uploads depend on my schedule but I'll try weekly also error will be made cuz I dotn proof read, when I've finished I'll go over it 😅 The story follows Izuku but if there's a change in povs there will be a indication ⚠️ warning swearing and violence⚠️

"Leave me alone, JBI." Piper scoffed, as JBI gasped, turning to his camera for a second."No denial!" He said, as Piper rolled her eyes."Just go away!""One last question..." JBI called, still struggling to keep up with Piper as the girl groaned. "Is it also true you're suffering from a crippling depression because you're not over Miss Fabray?"Again, Piper hesitated, having JBI rubbing salt in another wound. Still, she kept on walking, trying not to give him too much of a reaction."Screw you, Jacob..." She mumbled."Another dubious answer!" He said. "Is it true you and Miss Fabray haven't spoken much since the birth of her bastard baby?"Sequel to Picture Perfect - Book 1 that you can find in my works!Set in Season 2Disclaimer: Some of the dialogues aren't mine and most of the characters aren't either
