《Slayer of Kings》Chapter 29 - Training

The clone and Leo stood face to face.
This was Leo's strategy to improve his skill and the clones and that was they would fight against each other. His opponents would be on guard the moment they see the clone as they do not know the clone can't actually do any damage with its normal attacks, however, he can explode the clone making the water splatter everywhere which can be used to distract the opponent. Then he can activate frenzy and strike his opponent.
Leo's plan was to make the clone attack him while he dodged as this would increase his control over the clone and also help the clone fight any opponent by itself.
The training finished after an hour. The clone had a much better control over itself without help from Leo since his control over the Crystal has also increased.
The next goal would be to increase the water pressure inside the clone so it would be able to hold weapons. His control over the explosion also increased as he could now slightly control the direction in which the water exploded.
Normally, once the clone explodes the water would splatter around the clone but now he was able to concentrate the water, hence he can utilize it to focus on a particular area which greatly increases its damage.
After practicing 'Water of Deception' it was now time to practice frenzy, but he took a ten-minute break before he began his practice.
Emilia now had four orbs of water, which surrounded her on each side. The orbs also had rings around their sides. She had her eyes closed and hands tightly pressed against each other.
Suddenly the orbs started to move. Their speed increased as the seconds went by but still it was slow as Leo was able to see them individually.

Emilia's eyes were tightly shut as her palms squeezed each other even harder, however, it was to no avail as water escaped from the orbs and started to fall back into the river. Soon all the four orbs disappeared.
She sighed, however, as soon as the sigh came, she went back into her previous state with her eyes tightly shut and palms squeezed against each other.
It was time to start the training.
Leo's body felt pain as he tried to activate frenzy. He knew this was because he did not rest thoroughly after practicing 'Water of Deception' but he would not give up easily as he continued to activate his cells while ignoring the pain.
The main problem with frenzy was the fatigue that came after using it as the more he tried to maintain it the more the fatigue would be once its over. This would be fatal because if he failed to kill the opponent, then he could be easily killed by them. So he had to get used to it for that he would need to activate it and maintain it for full fifty seconds then repeat the process.
This was even harder because he only had a ten-minute break from when he stopped practicing 'Water of Deception'.
He held the dagger in his hands as he thrust it into the air. His control of weapons was great because of his knowledge from the old world. What he needed now was to familiarize himself with the Magic of this world so he could incorporate his weapon skills into them.
Leo also needed to find a way to activate the sword in his body as the only clue showing its existence was the dragon tattoo. He desperately needed to activate it because he was certain Cao's sword has been activated so it was necessary for him to activate his sword if he wants to kill Cao.

Leo's speed increased the more he practiced. His reaction time and speed were above the rest, however, his body remained the limitation as it could not react in time to his commands.
Leo picked up two rocks and threw them up in the air after that he closed his eyes. Just as the rocks reached his shoulder the dagger moved swiftly as it split the two rocks into two.
The main reason why his speed increased so much was because of his previous life's training. The foundation was already there all he needed was to incorporate it into this world.
He practiced frenzy also for an hour after which he went to a tree and leaned against it as he needed to give his body some rest.
Emilia approached him looking finished with her training "You've been training hard Leo," She said leaning against a tree opposite to Leo.
Both did not talk for a minute. The wind, which made the leaves rattle eventually broke the silence. As the winds blew three light orange colored round fruits fell from a tree near them.
Emilia picked up the fruits with a smile on her face "Here taste it Leo I'm sure you'll like it," Emilia said as he handed one fruit to Leo.
The fruit in Leo's hand was slightly hard. The interesting things about this fruit was its yellow stalk which was big compared to others.
The fruit, melted into his mouth as a sweet sensation ran across his taste buds.
"See I told you'll like it," Emilia chuckled while taking a bite of her own fruit.
Both spent two minutes eating the fruit. The third fruit that fell was given to a brown bird with long wings and black eyes. It first bit the fruit once with its golden beak after that grabbed the fruit using its brown claws as it flew away.
Emilia's face was filled with hesitation as she contemplated for a minute after which her eyes looked determined as she turned towards Leo "Do you want to have a duel with me?"
"It will be beneficial to both of us," She added.
This was a good idea as the clone could only reach the beginner level when fighting. Even though Emilia lacked any real fighting experience apart from training and the fight with the beasts she will still better than the clone hence Leo found no reason to reject the offer.
They both went into the river and stood opposite to each other.

Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

Getting reborn as an Orc
MC gets reborn as an orc. He is going to grow in strength, going to gather his followers build up his clan then crash, slaughter, and humiliate the humans, elves, dwarves, and such. This is a kingdom building story with litrpg elements. Litrpg works well when we talk about single character focused story. But in my story MC eventually going to lead his troops against other people. So I invented something called the tier system. It is similar to the grading system other game light story's use but with much more clear and understandable rules, also uses a very simplified stats system. When you hear someone's tier you could easily understand what to expect. MC is a crafty guy, he usually uses tricks and shady tactics instead of brute force to achieve his goals. He gets ailed with unsavory humans to reaching his aims. So MC going to have a lot of dealings with society's criminal underbelly. I warn you, my English is miserably bad. If you seeking a kingdom building story with a crafty villainous lead who outsmarts his enemies you are in the right place. If you seek something written by someone competent in English please pass this story and please just don't write a review.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions.
