"Finally, I can extract it," Cao said as he took out his sword while looking at Leo, who seemed to have died, he prepared to stab Leo with his sword and extract Leo's sword but just before he could do that something happened with Leo.
The area surrounding Leo glowed with a white light and a strange symbol came up from Leo's body Cao thought he had seen this symbol before, but he had no idea where but suddenly he remembered it.
It was not the exact symbol, but it had some similarities to the one he had seen before Cao knew what that symbol meant he had no idea how he managed to trigger the symbol he retreated backward fearing it might kill him.
The white light around Leo started to fade, but Leo also started to fade away with it this scene shocked Cao he knew Leo had not died, he needed Leo's body to extract the sword, but now Leo's body was starting to fade away he could not do anything as he was too scared to attack the symbol and the power behind it.
Soon Leo's body along with the white light disappeared from the area Cao looked at the area with a complicated expression he had almost won he had almost got his revenge.
He knew this 'almost' would continue to haunt him until he achieved his goals "Leo I know you are not dead I will search this entire continent if I have to and I'll make sure that the next time I see you I kill you,"
---
Leo opened his eyes in the dimly lit room. He looked at his surroundings and was surprised to see it was his room back in the village.
Leo felt something in his hand when he looked what he saw was two thick black lines on his left hand when he looked at them one line turned white and melted into his skin while the other one stayed for 10 seconds before sinking into his skin.

Leo had no idea what it was he didn't think it was related to the sword when he looked at his body, he realized that all his injuries were gone his body was back to how it was before Cao attacked him.
"How did I cheat death two times?" Leo asked himself the first time was when he was reborn into this world and this time he escaped death from Cao and was now lying on the floor with no injuries.
'How is it that Cao has got this much power' Leo had no answer to this question.
It was at this moment that Leo noticed something near him it looked to be a badge it was a circle which had a green outline with a sword and spear crossed against each other on its front the back was empty 'Does this belong to Cao?' Leo knew there was no other possibility.
'I'm sure Cao will be searching for me, I can't stay in this village anymore since it's the closest to the city the chances of him coming here are high' Thinking this Leo got up from the floor and left the inn since he didn't have any belongings apart from some money his dagger and his clothes that saved him a lot of time.
His plan was to head off into the forest and find a place he asked the manager where the closest place to the village was apart from the Moon Cave City.
According to the manager, the closest place to the village apart from Moon Cave City was Rynce City the manager also said there were a lot of villages and towns in between the village and city.
Leo was pondering where to go if he wanted to go to a village where the remote area will make it harder for Cao to find him or if the city where the vast number of people will make it harder for Cao to find him.

He decided he would decide on his way thinking this he left the village and headed towards the east.
The forest had a lot of trees and other plants that grew from the ground some trees had fruit in them but Leo wasn't sure if they were poisonous or not, so he decided not to touch or eat them.
He heard various sounds of animals in the forest, but he never contacted any as he would change his path as soon as he heard the sounds.
After about an hour of walking through the forest, Leo heard rapid footsteps coming towards him when he looked toward the steps what he saw was two gray colored animals with their mouth open wide and sharp teeth were running towards him.
Even a fool could understand why they were running towards him wasting no time Leo made a run for it, he thought of climbing a tree, but then he would be stuck there until the beasts go away and also the beasts may reach him as he was climbing, and they could attack him, he ran as there was some distance between them his plan was to increase that distance and then climb a tree or hide somewhere else.
However, as he ran, his plan fell apart the wolves caught up to him the main reason was he had overestimated the speed of his current body also the beasts were living in the forest and were used to hunting their prey by running between the trees, so they were able to reduce the distance between them and Leo.
Soon the distance between them was so less that Leo could hear their loud breathing Leo knew he had to fight he had no other option, so he took out his dagger and turned to face the wolves.
The wolves stopped in their tracks seeing their prey stop one beast went to the right while the other went to the left it seemed as if they were getting into a battle formation which they must have learned from years of hunting in the forest.
Leo held his dagger firmly as he changed his eyes between the two beasts now that he was near them, he could see more clearly how what they looked like.
They had gray colored fur paws that had sharp claws to them, their eyes were black, they had sharp teeth and had their tongue out salivating.
Surrounded by countless trees and plants the sounds from other places seemed to die out due to the sounds of hunger from the two beasts as one man prepared to face off against two beasts.
The two beasts charged at him with full speed.

Living in Paradise
The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. To them it was pretty boaring with the only thing interesting about my world being was a higher than average tech level for a non-spacefaring civilization; technology that wouldn't even work in this new world. All I brought with me was a peculiar mindset and the strong suspicion that there must be something more to life. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
