Leo looked at Cao with the hilt of his sword still gripped in his mouth his entire body was hurting so much that he could not even think.
It was now that Cao laughed out loud even though he was writhing in agony at this moment it looked like all he could think about was laughing, "Leo do you think you are the only one with strength here? Allow me to show you what true power is."
"Caetus sword, it's time to show me the power you have!" Cao screamed as the sword he was holding glowed with a bright white light. The light was so bright that everyone there was blinded even Leo was blinded by it.
Leo knew he was in trouble now because the power coming from the sword was beyond what he had expected he knew it was time for him to go all out.
"Leo this is a gift from me to you, allow me to show you what it can do!" said Cao while laughing like a maniac it seemed as if he could not control the power of the sword and it was taking over his mind.
"I can't attack him now because I'm unable to break through its barrier the only thing I can do right now is" saying till here Leo looked towards the people that had followed Cao he could not see them with his eyes, but he could get a hold of their positions using the power of his sword all of them could not defend themselves there was no better time than now to kill all of them thinking this Leo rushed towards them at full speed.
Cao was busy trying to control this power that his father had given him as a last resort, he felt insulted by using this power as it meant that he could not kill Leo without the help of others, but he comforted himself by saying that all this won't matter if he could kill Leo and get this over with.
"After I get my hands on that sword, then I'll be able to combine both these swords to make the strongest sword known to existence then no one including my father will stop me that fool still thinks I'm doing all this for him I can't wait to see the look on his face when I drive this sword through his heart!" thought Cao to himself with a sinister smile on his face it seemed as if the sword was getting a complete control over his body.

It was at this moment he heard screaming coming from where the others were. He knew as soon as he heard the voice what was happening "You filthy sword give me your power!" he screamed at the top of his lungs the white light shined even brighter the intensity of the light along with the intensity of the screams increased from far one could not see anything except the white light and hear nothing except the screams of agony.
Finally, the white light died out as it faded the ground was starting to be visible, the ground was now covered with freshly cut bodies livers, lungs, intestines all littered the place some had their faces cut in half some had burns all over their body the place looked even more brutal than before with the fresh corpses along with the rotten ones.
Cao's power had increased dramatically his sword looked white, and it had what looked like dragons that ran through the blade upon a closer look, it looked like Leo's sword only it was white instead of black.
Both Ming and Cao looked at each other covered in scars all over their bodies surrounded by nothing but corpses and the scent of blood holding identical swords they looked at each other like they were opposites of each other.
"So you used the sword," said Leo staring down at Cao, who was floating in the air.
"Ha-ha Leo so you finally talked too bad those will be your last words!" said Cao as he charged straight towards Leo wasting no time.
Seeing Cao charge towards him Leo only smiled in response he looked at the sword that he held using his mouth and charged towards Cao intending to kill him.
A huge Shockwave ran out from the epicenter where both their swords met light and darkness fought against each other both of them did not stop with one strike, they kept on attacking each other waiting for an opening to strike down each other Cao's power seemed to have increased a lot but his injuries were severe, and he was struggling to maintain control over the sword. Leo, on the other hand, was at the point of complete exhaustion, he was struggling even more as he did not have his hands to fight Cao he had to use defense magic.
More than a hundred blows have been exchanged since the battle begun and neither of them found an opening to strike the opponent finally Cao concluded that just blows with swords were meaningless if he wanted to kill Leo he had to go all out he was stalling for time as he knew Leo was exhausted, he was waiting for Leo to fall from exhaustion but that looked like it won't happen, at least for now, he had to end this battle before he lost himself to the sword.

"Leo, allow me to end your suffering '12 Dragon Pillars!'" Cao shouted, this was one attack he had learned from the 'Holy Scripture' the scripture was a rare treasure that his father had found and after great effort, he deciphered its contents. It was one of the strongest attacks in the scripture.
Leo never thought Cao would use this skill he knew defending against this skill would be difficult, the only thing he could do was use his strongest attack use offense against offense was Leo's plan.
As Leo decided this 12 golden pillars descended from the skies, they seemed to be covered in a thick white mist which formed the shape of a dragon 12 pillars descended onto the world as if they wanted to pass judgment on the beings of this world.
When the pillars contacted the ground, the entire area shook. Cao was in the middle of these 12 pillars, but even though the pillars looked magnificent Cao himself was far from that he was barely holding on to his sanity as the power of the sword was hard to control.
Leo used the strongest attack, which was 'Eternal Damnation' as he used this skill black mist rose from the ground beneath him the mist was thick black it surrounded Leo and a plethora of symbols formed from the mist they were purple this was Leo's strongest ability but also the one that took the most strength out of him he knew after he used this skill he would be dead for sure.
The 12 pillars from Cao ability resonated with each other and formed white orbs condensed with pure energy their target was Leo "This is it, Leo," said Cao as he laughed.
The energy was the essence of this world that is what people used to cultivate.
As Cao's 12 pillars were getting ready to attack the mist and the symbols around Leo got absorbed into his sword along with the mist screams of agony now accompanied it, all of it was absorbed into the sword until it changed its color from black to dark purple.
Leo had to use his entire strength as he could not use his hand, he had to rely on the strength that the ability generated the sword left Leo's mouth and was now floating in front of him all of his power condensed into his last attack the last attack he would ever use before he no longer remained.
Leo roared as the sword charged with all its might towards Cao with only one goal and that was to split Cao's body in half at the same time Leo's sword attacked the 12 pillars of Cao combined the 12 white orbs of light into one big beam and sent it straight towards Leo and his now charging sword.
A huge explosion happened which made the entire area shake and become unstable the dimensional barriers which were used to tie down the world to its dimension showed cracks in it the explosion was followed by a Shockwave which obliterated the corpses in the area and also burnt them along with their blood mountains near the area crumbled to dust humans and beasts turned to dust everything that the Shockwave touched turned to dust.
Thick dust and debris covered the entire area as the dust vanished and the debris settled down two figures could be seen near the epicenter of the explosion.
One of them was shocked to his core he never realized that he would lose to his opponent, he believed his last attack in which he went all out could kill his enemy, but he was wrong and this person was none other than Cao who had a huge hole located in the middle of his chest.
The other figure was Leo, who had lost all his energy he even could not move right now and was on the verge of collapse.
"Leo I will wait for you in hell," Said Cao looking at Leo in front of him as he closed his eyes for the last time.
"Hell?" Leo asked as he looked at himself the world looked red through his bloody eyes it had no meaning to him.

8 183The Blight
Ten years ago, the Blight appeared. A beautiful forest, where the leaves and animals glowed brilliantly at night. It became a wonder of the entire world, and people began venturing from across the continent to visit it. No one took it any more seriously than that, not in the beginning. Then the disappearances started. At first, it was just farm animals and pets. Then, hunters and travelers close to dusk. By the time children started disappearing from villages, it was too late to do anything. The Blight was spreading, from tree to tree like a sickness, crawling out in all directions. The animals and beasts inside it changed as well. They grew larger, stronger, and more ferocious than anything seen before. Simple farm animals became horrific monsters, distorted to disgusting proportions and violently spreading chaos out from the forest. When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail. Soon, it was public knowledge to all: Those who entered the forest, never returned. ...So what happens when a young boy comes out of the forest, carrying nothing but a dagger and remembering nothing but his own name?

8 200In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
