《Journey of Infinite Steps》??? - Pre splitting Univers: arse is to cultivate doom

Oliver nodded at the officers. They nodded back.
Then he walked to the nearest ape and gave it what for.
"How dare you! Come in here and invading the shit out of our lands! You should be ashamed of yourselves! When we invade other lands we do so with CLASS, not this ridiculous sneaking portals into the backyards of people we haven't yet declared war on. Shame. SHAME on you."
The Demon Ape froze up and looked ashamed of itself for a moment, then Oliver took more step forward and the ape snapped a jab into his face.
Luckily Oliver was barely within reach and was mostly only had his nose broken. . . and got sent tumbling head over heels a good 10 20 35 feet or so.
Oliver finally came to a halt thanks to the generous friction of the asphalt and its tendency to build cushioning chunky dunes of 'do for recycling' whenever someone got punched through its sun-facing surface. Classic Superman pillows
Oliv--
I shook my head as I remembered. So long had it been since I'd been awake. Agent 0153R. Agent of the Motherland sent to spy on those over eager-- but then I'd been reassigned to watch their expansion in the Demon of the West. America. Rife with all its corruption and kind words.
It brought a snarl to his face. And these aliens dare invade before they could? There were accords! The treaty of Kapustin Yar! There was understanding! But still they invade before the Motherland, without consent! That was not the actions of proper comrades!
He walked back up to the alien, his face a mess of red coated in tar dust. And yelled at it in the Tongue of True Conquerors. Tongue of Soviets.
The ape gave its fist an offended look. Then when he got in range punched him again.

Oliver flew back 35 60 feet and impacted the mound at the end of the trench the previous punch had created.
Agent 015-
Cultivator Ol Ser shook his head. He had been in disguise too long! The soft hearted Russians thought they could rule all? They did not even have cultivation! They were far too drunk on potatoes to even manage an invasion! They could not even keep their own people under their thumb properly! He sneered at the thought. As though profiting off domestic abuse was enough to keep a country running.
Then he schooled his face into kindness as the scrolls taught. To better sneak the knife into the hearts of enemies, best to approach as a gift bearing friend. The territories held them in content for such things. But they would be Han soon enough. They would forget their selfish freedoms and push the supreme culture as they should. Soon enough. They were ever patient.
He cycled his cultivation and felt the magic of demons in these aliens. Good. They would make for fine foot soldiers for the People of Mountain Sight. The ministry would be proud of these conquests. A shame they were not suitable to be cultured.
Already they were beginning to gather in interest at the power he drew. Eyes darting between the one who had dared to awaken him and his majestic self. He snorted derisively at their owlish faces of awe and worship. By the way all of them (including the owner of the fist) stared at the limb of awakening they would likely enshrine it in gold.
He channeled the ancient ways of power, pulled from those who were not worthy of it.

He balanced the three and kept them from running astray or into each other. Twining them together until they were too dizzy to resist his command. He leapt through the air, punched the ape back sending its form even further than it had sent him despite its size.
He followed with a beam of contempt blasting it further still, then blasted two more who continued to gawk at his power. Only as he blasted yet another did he remember he was going to subdue them into being Cannon fodder for the great Han Sect. Ah well.
One of the Apes he hadn't yet gotten to- decided to get impatient and throw a piece of masonry it had ripped out of a nearby building. Caught in his mirth of destruction he was too slow to react and caught it with his temple.
Ol Wan Dusted himself off. Of Coarse that wasn't his final form! As though a mere double sleeper agent was the sum of his power. The giants thought themselves so strong. But all trembled when their rickety missiles sheared their way into the sky.
China saw them as a convenient distraction. A 'world problem' they could be the 'gentle solution' to. Ha, A convenient story for them as well. No one else saw the wisdom of forcing your enemies to shoot down unending waves of missile tests. They would tire. Oh how the west would tire of stress and fear. THEN they would make mistakes. How grateful great China would be then. The southern fools would crawl to them and beg for wisdom
How they too would worship the wisdom of Kim II --
The apes started tearing up more masonry to throw.
The great Ol Wan fell back to the gun cover of the nearby officers who showed their concern and dismay that the apes would oppose him.
The apes raised their makeshift rocks and Ol Wan felt fear and fled.
Oliver woke with a start as he tried to push just a LITTLE harder to dodge unending rain of masonry.
Dam. I'm not normally one for naps.
He looked around, and saw that the officers seemed to have finished scouting, and gathering supplies and were headed out to distraction positions.
What a terrible nightmare. I thought I was a cultivator.
He ran his tongue around his mouth and went to grab a water bottle. The taste of tepid plastic tinted water helped wash the taste of evil and wanton destruction away.
Ugh. Amassing power and cruelty like some short sighted megalomaniac.
Desiring worship
He shivered. Terrible nightmare. He had thought of plenty of ways he could have gone (further) astray than he had so far over the years, but at least being THAT wrong didn't seem to be within the realm of possibility.
Honestly, Being so short sighted as to want to make people more homogeneous. Ridiculous.
Also those other bits were cooky. Hmm probably should write down that dream honestly, but it was hardly the time or place to worry about that right now. The three he was going to ride with out of town looked like they were about ready to go. He grabbed a couple snacks and joined up with them.
