《The Chronicle of a Witch》Chapter 33 Anti-Thievery Function and New Potion

Dorm. Night.
I just arrived and I wanted to sleep immediately. It was a tiring day, mostly because of that pink Holy Maiden. Just as I wanted to take off my new dress…
[Warning! The anti-thievery is activated.]
…it alarmed something like that. The voice was not loud, but somehow, it gave me a bad feeling. Yes, I tried to remove the dress again, only to hear that warning once again and the dress was stuck to my body.
“…Slimerin, can you help me take off this dress?” I asked Slimerin and she immediately helped me. And the warning sounded once again.
[Warning! The anti-thievery is activated. Proceed to lockdown mode.]
Hm? Lockdown mode? Was it because I tried to undress three times so it proceeded to lockdown mode? What was the meaning of lockdown mode, by the way?
“Master, it seems impossible to remove your dress,” Slimerin commented as she jumped around my body to take a closer look at the dress.
“Really? Do I have to sleep wearing this dress?” I asked helplessly. I trusted Slimerin. I knew it too, it was impossible for me to remove this dress. Well, that shop owner must know something about it. But the problem was today.
“…do I really have to sleep wearing this dress?” I sighed and lied on the bed, tired. Today was truly a tiring day.
…
The next day. I went to the Armor Shop by myself. When I entered the shop, I saw the shop owner and when he saw me, he smiled with his business smile.
“Good afternoon, my dear lady. Is there anything I can help you with?” He greeted me.
“I can’t remove this dress. The anti-thievery is activated and now, the dress is in lockdown mode. What should I do?” I asked him right to the point.
“Eh? Well, that is troublesome.” He looked away after hearing about my problem.
“Why?” I stepped closer and threatened him with my eyes so he would answer quickly.
“Well, you see, the Grandmaster that forged this armor, Grandmaster Linley, never stays in one place and he is the only one with the Master Key to remove the anti-thievery function, so, unless you find him, there is nothing we could do.” He smiled. Why did I feel his smile was annoying now? Also, why did I feel that he was laughing inside?
“…so, you mean, unless I find that Grandmaster, I can’t do anything to remove this dress?” I asked once again.
“That’s what I’ve been saying.” He replied calmly.
“I can’t sleep in this dress,” I said.
“This dress is so soft that you should be able to sleep soundly as if you wear a silky pajama, so it shouldn’t be a problem.” He said.
“I can’t take a bath,” I said again.
“This dress has an auto-clean function, so, not only it will keep itself clean, but it also cleans the host body.” He replied.
“…” I was speechless. This kind of dress was something that had transcended the typical dress. I didn’t know what else to say, so I tried to think another reason.

“By the way, this is not a dress. This is an armor. It can save your life, you know? Wearing it all the time is a common sense, right?” The shop owner smiled and the impulse to hit his face welled up inside my heart. Well, since I was an adult, I could hold that impulse back.
Not for long though, so before I couldn’t hold that impulse any longer, I immediately left the shop and went back to my dorm. I was tired, not physically, but rather, mentally. That was why I teleported to the Dungeon and looked at the data in the Dungeon Core.
Well, although I said data, I just looked at the number of DP it had and the number it got all this time. A little bit more than three hundred points, huh?
These three hundred points came not only from my Mana and Slimerin’s but also from the newbie Adventurers and the students that entered the Dungeon. The monsters were still Skeletons and other Undead Monsters, so no one noticed the Dungeon Master had changed. As for the deeper floor, such as the room for this Dungeon Core, I planned on changing it today.
One of the rules of the Dungeon that even the Dungeon Core had to obey was that there must always be a way to reach the Dungeon Core. Even if you put a locked indestructible door to the room of the Dungeon Core, you should give a chance to the Adventurers to get the key. I didn’t know who made these stupid rules but it was not something that I could change. If I could, I would seal the Dungeon Core inside an indestructible box and so no one could reach it. Well, that would make no one wanted to conquer the Dungeon though.
Anyway, my plan was quite clear. I would put an indestructible door to the Dungeon Core’s room. As for the lock, I would use a puzzle to lock it. Yes, everyone loved puzzles. However, what everyone loved was not unsolvable puzzles. That was what I was going to put as the lock though.
Well, it was not unsolvable, just the people of this world wouldn’t know. Another stupid rule of the Dungeon was that the Dungeon Master had to have the ability to reach the Dungeon Core’s room without the support of the Dungeon. So, I couldn’t use an ultra-strong monster that I couldn’t defeat to protect the core. Also, I couldn’t use an unsolvable puzzle that I couldn’t solve as well. If I could, I would ask the Adventurers to solve a Rubik’s cube puzzle in a second. That was not something I could do, so I couldn’t put such a test in the Dungeon.
Well, however, even solving a Rubik’s Puzzle was something that the Adventurers of this world couldn’t do. They didn’t even understand the formula to solve it. So, even if I gave them a whole five minutes to solve it, or even a whole hour to solve it, it would be impossible for them to solve it. That was something I could do, so I put the five-minute time limit to solve the puzzle.

By the way, my Familiars were not ultra-strong monster that I couldn't defeat. I could defeat them by using the command, so, even if they were stronger than me, I could ask them to be a floor Boss.
Yep, with this, my Dungeon was perfectly safe. Though building the indestructible door with that kind of lock cost me a hundred and fifty DP, it was worth it.
Now that I had more than a hundred and fifty DP, I could redecorate the Dungeon a bit. For example, I put pitfall traps on the eleventh floor and deeper floors. The pitfall traps in the eleventh floor were easy to see though, as there were always unnatural mounds on the ground just before the pitfalls. However, I changed the positions of the mounds on the twelfth floor so the pitfalls were on the right side of the mounds. And on the thirteenth floor, the mounts were behind the pitfalls. On the fifteenth floor, however, there were only mounds but the pitfalls were several meters away from the mounds.
And on the sixteenth floor and deeper, I put the mounds randomly around the pitfalls, and sometimes, there were no mounds near the pitfalls at all. Also, the position of the pitfalls in the Dungeon randomly changed, so no one could draw a map of the positions of the pitfalls.
…perfect. Even though I could pass this kind of traps, it was annoying. So, I believed the Adventurers would be annoyed even more. Oh well, as long as they didn’t reach the eleventh floor or deeper, they should be alright.
Now, I only had twenty DP left, I should build a treasure chest. A wooden one and it was unlocked too. I only need a single DP to make a wooden box, so I could make twenty of them at the moment. As for the items in the box, yes, I would put the Orange Potion inside. One Orange Potion for the first floor, two for the second floor, and so on. Also, in the future, I would put the equipment of the Adventurers inside as well. Unfortunately, there was no equipment to be put at the moment, so I could only put the potions inside the box. Oh, I could put some gold as well! Yep, what a nice idea.
I happily designed the Dungeon to create the treasure chests and put them randomly. If the treasure chest was opened, the Dungeon would randomly put it in another place after three hours passed. I didn’t forget to make the Dungeon put the Potions and gold randomly as well. Well, I had to stock some of the potions and the gold in the Dungeon though, as the Dungeon wouldn’t be able to make something out of nothing unless I gave Mana to it. And even though gold could be created by using Mana, the amount of Mana to create a single gold coin was too high that I didn’t want to waste my Mana on it.
Anyway, after putting all the treasure chest from the first floor to the tenth floor, Slimerin and I started watching the party of students that entered the Dungeon.
…
It was a balanced party, just like what the school taught them. There were seven people in the party. Three of them were the Vanguards, two Mages, one Scout, and one Healer. Two of the Vanguards walked in the front and one of them walked behind the others, in case a surprise attack came from behind them. The Scout walked ten meters in front of the others and he carefully scouted the area. The Mage was prepared to instantly cast their low-level Magic as well.
Even though it was only the first floor of the Dungeon, they were cautious. They knew the story of their seniors who lowered their guard on the first floor after entering the fifth-floor several times. They were not defeated, but they paid dearly for it. Yes, one of the seniors almost died because of a sudden attack from a Skeleton that abruptly raised from the ground. Because of that, the party of seven didn’t dare to lower their guard at all.
By the way, the Dungeon was still dark, as the previous Dungeon Master was not a creature that needed light to see. So, the Adventurers brought Magic Lamp with them. By pouring some Mana, the Lamp would be able to shine for fifteen minutes. The efficiency was not as bad as using Light Magic, so it was the must-have item for going to a Dungeon.
After killing tens of Skeletons, the party decided to rest in the next room. When they entered the room, however, they were stunned and confused by what they saw. It was a wooden box, and although it looked simple, a wooden box like this was not something that should exist in a place like a Dungeon. They looked at each other, confused at what they should do next as there was no precedence before them.
In the end, they decided to open the wooden box. Well, although ‘they’ decided, the one who would open the wooden box was the Scout.
Gulping, the Scout walked closer to the wooden box cautiously. His friends were behind him, prepared to send their attacks at the first sign of attack coming from the wooden box. However, after the Scout poked the wooden box with his knife and there were no reactions from it, he braved his heart to open the wooden box.
“…guys! I found a bottle of potion and a gold coin!” The Scout exclaimed excitedly. Even though he was excited, he kept his calm and looked around cautiously. He was afraid that the wooden box was a trap and Monsters would swarm them soon, but nothing happened. When he grabbed the potions and the gold, nothing happened. With a relieved heart, he returned to his companion and decided to end the Adventure in the Dungeon for today.
